Sandeep G.

welcome to la la land accounting and shady jacking up of prices on treatments post treatment. I have been with them for more than 3 years and an year into it doctor suggested I get 4 periodontal cleaning per year( $134 per procedure ,2 out of pocket and 2 paid of insurance at 80% per year) and did not even want to use/trade the 2 complementary regular cleanings that my insurance allowed. This went for couple of years. I felt it was for my own good On 8/18/2020 , I had to rush to doctor as my front tooth broke middle of night(it will be a whole different review why I lost a front teeth in-spite of meeting doctor 4 times a year). I was asked to prepay 138$ and said there will be refund once insurance pays. They being in-network the max allowed for such procedure is 98$ yet they still charged me 138$. After insurance paid 98$, they gave only 98$ to me in credit as seen ledger (circled in rectangle) in-spite of patient responsibility being 0 for this treatment per insurance and the front desk and doctor just says numbers add up. Trick to be deceive the unsuspecting people who don't go through balances properly. They didn't stop there. They called me on 9/2/2020 to advance my next scheduled periodontal cleaning from 9/21/2020 (which insurance later told would have been covered at 80 percent as it was outside yearly off as my first covered treatment in year was on 9/10/2019) to 9/3/2020 ( which made me pay full 134$ out of pocket as it it is within 5 days of of cutoff). I didn't notice it and went for treatment and paid full 134$ out of my pocket on that day When I asked for final settlement, they showed a ledger where jacked up the price of 9/3/2020 to 198$ (come on!!) and said it is insurance fault . I did point out I paid full 134$ as this treatment was not going to covered by insurance per them . Had to get insurance involved and insurance said they will give one off exception and cover at 80% like usual as the treatment missed cutoff by just 4 or 5 days and the charge for treatment cannot be more than 134$. They take at least 2 to 3 weeks to process the checks from insurance, but they will be very prompt the next day if insurance doesn't cover something. Just keep you running in circles with refunds Tips on how to work with them if you stuck with them: 1. Never let them make you pay using personal card/cash/checks when you have to visit them for something out of the normal visits. Always insist let the insurance pay out and then see what the patient responsibility is and pay only that (Coverage 101 right there) . Unfortunately they will very pushy and make you pay upfront a lot rather than in network negotiated rate. 2. Don't let them change dates of regular cleaning. In this case they did so that it is within insurance cutoff date and they jacked up price 2 weeks after treatment. 3. When they try to push for additional periodontal cleaning, ask them to work with insurance first to see if they can do in lieu of complementary regular cleaning. I ended up not using regular complementary cleaning that insurance covers in full at all in last 2 years. I thought it was the front desk patient coordinator who didn't know how to do her job, but after email exchange with Doctor , it is clear they are in together. I am hoping they will clear both of the dues in next 2 weeks. But already it has been a long, tiring and a lot waste of time dealing with them

I took a leap of faith by choosing him based solely on online reviews, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. After a devastating experience with my lifelong childhood dentist--someone I trusted completely--I was left with a botched veneer/crown case that caused me so much stress and regret. From my very first consultation, Dr. Rabanus took the time to explain exactly what had happened to my teeth, walked me through every step of the revision process, and created a clear plan to restore my smile. He was incredibly compassionate, patient, and understanding of everything I had been through. He truly held my hand through the entire process and made me feel heard and supported. Thanks to Dr. Rabanus, I no longer have sensitivity, the unnatural yellow color is gone, and I finally have the smile I always hoped for. I honestly couldn't be happier with the results. I recently found a new general dentist for my routine cleanings, and without me even mentioning who did my work, he said my veneers and crowns were some of the best he had ever seen. His exact words were, "Whoever did your veneers and crowns did an excellent job--they're sealed perfectly." After everything I went through before finding Dr. Rabanus, hearing that from another dental professional was incredibly reassuring and meant the world to me. If you're looking for someone who is exceptionally skilled, verrrrrry meticulous, honest, and genuinely cares about his patients, I cannot recommend Dr. Rabanus enough. I will always be grateful for what he did for me. Hopefully this review is found by someone "like me" who is solely going off of reviews.

I have a pretty complicated case - crossbite + front incisor implant. I had some crowns done by a…read moredifferent cosmetic dentist several years ago, but was never really happy with them. I decided to see Dr. Rabanus for a consultation after seeing his glowing reviews here. Consultation: The consultation was straightforward. He explained my case difficulties in a very straightforward, matter-of-fact manner. He felt confident he could dramatically improve my smile. He also suggested some additional lower veneers, which I agreed with. It was clear he knew what he was talking about, and showed me photos from other cases to give me additional confidence in my decision. I was IN. The Process: The procedures themselves were straightforward. First session was to get molds for temporaries. Second to remove the crowns and prep teeth for veneers. Third was to install the permanent crowns (had to do a minor do-over on one set - see below). Took about a month. Dr Rabanus also works weekends or late evenings too which is great for busy professionals like me. Results: The results? ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR. I am so happy with my smile now. As Austin powers said- "I got my mojo back"! Everything from the color to the shape is gorgeous. Just the right shade of white to be eye catching without being obvious (e.g. NOT fake Hollywood blinding white). I've got many - many - compliments on my smile. I have never met someone who is so particular abut the results of his work and so determined to ensure his work is EXACTLY what I want. As an example, he sent the crowns back to the lab because they were not the precise shape he wanted (I couldn't tell the difference, but he could.) Pros: - Extremely meticulous and conscientious - Confident and capable. Stays on top of the latest research and techniques (in addition to his Dental degree, he also has a PhD). - Provides clear options and ideas on type of restorative work to be done. I appreciate him sharing his thinking process and how he arrives at the treatment plan he recommends. - Never "pushes" treatment options. Final decision is always up to the Patient. Cons: - None I can think of. Personality wise, I am very type A, so I am very involved in, and always need to know lots of details about, the care and treatment plans. Dr. Rabanus is unfailingly respectful - I found him to be an excellent partner in my care. Summary: I highly recommend Dr. Rabanus. The quality of his work is beyond superb. A modern day Da Vinci, he couples an artist's eye with a scientist's focus on perfection - it's a rare and unusual combination that produces really extraordinary results. You will be very happy with the results of his work. I know I am.

I reached out to Robert Soto (I believe 2-3 months before my wedding) and he was so quick to get back to me with an estimate, and even more impressive, a full video describing the procedure and my specific smile! I was instantly sold and the team worked hard to schedule the consultation and other appointments to get the veneers ready in time for my wedding! The office was also so clean and I loved the iPad set up to watch shows during the procedures with comfy headphones - such a nice addition! The whole process felt so organized and seamless, Dr. Soto made me feel instantly at ease, and I ended up getting the top front four teeth done to also correct for some spacing that I've been self conscious about since middle school! The results were beyond perfect and I'm so so happy - my only regret is not doing them sooner! 100/10 would recommend!!

Nevertheless, she asked me why I was calling. You don't review your messages before calling someone back? On top of this, she was rude, short, unfriendly, and uncooperative. She told me Soto is only doing cosmetic and no general dentistry now. Told her I need 4-6 implant crowns. She said he's only doing veneers and full smile makeovers. Are crowns not cosmetic? I don't know how these people get hired with such abysmal people skills. In any event, I won't ever know if his work is any good or not, only that this office staff was a huge turn-off. Train your employees properly, people. They are a reflection of you and your business.

Ever since treatment my jaw click is terrible, it clicks and cracks constantly. An issue I never had. Additionally my lower front teeth show lots of wear. I got my 5 year scans done (a little late) last month and I have significant root degradation of my two upper front teeth. I have decades of teeth scans and the degradation only started after her treatment. Today I saw a different orthodontist - the changes that Dr. Cheng made to my bite makes my lower teeth contact my upper front teeth. It's lots of force to my front teeth. It's likely that their treatment and changes to my bite caused this. Not only has that constant contact likely caused root deterioration, I've had jaw pain and clicking, and my lower teeth are worn. I will be redoing Invisalign with a new ortho to correct these issues.

I just completed my 2nd alignment treatment with another phenomenal orthodontist, after my first deeply unhappy encounter with Dr. Amanda Cheng back in 2018. The difference in communication, service quality and the final result was staggering. At least with the second doctor, I was not questioned and condemned simply for not grasping an orthodontic terminology. After all, I didn't attend Harvard for a dental degree -- I came to receive professional care from someone who did. When I raised concerns about my teeth still being crooked before treatment was "completed," Dr. Cheng flatly denied it and refused to provide any way of measuring progress. In contrast, my second doctor carefully examined the issue, created a refinement plan, and delivered perfect alignment as a result. For the record, both doctors labeled me an "easy case". I wish her display of the Harvard certificate and the warmth of shared Asianness had been authentic rather than performative during those initial visits, but instead I left feeling hard-sold and manipulated -- and I truly hope no patient has to experience that again.

As a woman with some complicated dental history, having a female dentist I trust has made a real difference. Where other dentists can make patients feel judged, Dr. O and her team create a space where you feel supported, not shamed. She's kind, warm, and has built a wonderful team around her (shoutout to Randy, Shar, and everyone else who's been so welcoming over the years!!!). She goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable and genuinely NEVER in pain, which, if you've had rough dental experiences before, you know is HUGE. I trust her and her practice enough that I've now referred my wife to her too! If you're looking for a dentist who takes the time to make you feel safe and cared for, I can't recommend Dr. O and her team enough.

As a concerned patient, I asked for basic guidance on proper flossing technique so I could avoid this happening again. Dr. Ordonez refused and said that kind of education is "usually for cleanings" and that I should schedule one instead. That felt dismissive given it was directly related to why I was there. During the procedure, an instrument contacted my upper tooth and Dr. Ordonez said "sorry" at the time. That evening, after the numbness wore off, my wife noticed a chip on that upper tooth that wasn't there before. The next morning (Feb 11) I called the office to report it. The practice manager/front desk (Randy) was dismissive and said, "we don't know when we can get you in," and suggested 2 PM. I explained 1 PM was the only time I could make due to work. He said "maybe we can get you in" and wouldn't confirm until I called back again and pushed for it. Before being seen, I told the front desk I was uncomfortable returning to Dr. Ordonez and asked to see a different dentist. That request was refused. During the Feb 11 visit, Dr. Ordonez was defensive and denied responsibility. When I said her instrument hit my tooth the day before and she had said "sorry," she said she didn't remember and would need to "check her notes." I was also told the notes weren't even completed yet, which didn't inspire confidence. When I asked if the edge could be polished, she said she didn't want to because I would "just come back and complain that it's too short." She also said words to the effect of, "I can't help it if you don't take good care of your teeth," which felt like blaming me rather than addressing what happened. The tone was dismissive and confrontational. A small composite repair was placed, but the way this was handled--from the front desk to the dentist--was not professional or patient-centered. I escalated this to the owner, Dr. Growney, and his response was to defend the office and minimize what happened rather than address the conduct, the refusal to let me see another dentist, or the dismissive communication. The overall message was essentially: "We did nothing wrong," which felt like enabling this behavior instead of holding anyone accountable. Mistakes can happen. How you handle them matters. In this case, the defensiveness, refusal to accommodate, and dismissive responses from the dentist, the front desk, and the owner were the real problem. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice.
