Received a call back from Susan(?) as to whether or not Dr. Soto is accepting new clients. Had left the details in my voice message to them as well as in response to (what I consider to be) the invasive text message I received from them after leaving voicemail. Nevertheless, she asked me why I was calling. You don't review your messages before calling someone back? On top of this, she was rude, short, unfriendly, and uncooperative. She told me Soto is only doing cosmetic and no general dentistry now. Told her I need 4-6 implant crowns. She said he's only doing veneers and full smile makeovers. Are crowns not cosmetic? I don't know how these people get hired with such abysmal people skills. In any event, I won't ever know if his work is any good or not, only that this office staff was a huge turn-off. Train your employees properly, people. They are a reflection of you and your business. read more

Back in 2021, I had chipped my front tooth while eating and decided to finally get it fixed prior to my wedding! I reached out to Robert Soto (I believe 2-3 months before my wedding) and he was so quick to get back to me with an estimate, and even more impressive, a full video describing the procedure and my specific smile! I was instantly sold and the team worked hard to schedule the consultation and other appointments to get the veneers ready in time for my wedding! The office was also so clean and I loved the iPad set up to watch shows during the procedures with comfy headphones - such a nice addition! The whole process felt so organized and seamless, Dr. Soto made me feel instantly at ease, and I ended up getting the top front four teeth done to also correct for some spacing that I've been self conscious about since middle school! The results were beyond perfect and I'm so so happy - my only regret is not doing them sooner! 100/10 would recommend!! read more

Robert Soto, DDS - Best smile makeover! Thank you so much Dr. Soto!!! - Cosmetic Dentists Near Me - San Francisco, California

Dr. Soto is extremely professional, knowledgeable and an esthetic expert. I was thinking of getting less-white veneers since I'm older, and he rightly convinced me to go with a brighter white though still very natural color that looks great to both me and my friends! I am so glad he cared enough to advise me on this. Also when I was working with him I noticed he interacted with is staff in a kindly and positive way, which to me is always a good sign about any professional I want to work with. read more

Wish I can give Dr. Soto and his office staff more than 5 stars! I've had plenty of bad experiences in the past. Over the years, I've searched for multiple cosmetic dentists and was lucky enough to find Dr. Soto. From the first consultation to the day my final set of veneers were placed, I knew Dr. Soto will perform his best to create a beautiful smile tailored to not only how he believes looks the best on me but also a look and feel that will fit my needs. I requested for minimal prepping due to my teeth sensitivities and he was able to make that happen, while other dentist suggested that I need to significantly have my teeth shaved down in order for my tetracycline stain to not show through. Overall, my experience with Dr. Soto and his team was AMAZING, my teeth feels great, looks great and I have no sensitivities at all! I highly recommend Dr. Soto for your veneers! It's life changing! The biggest key is to trust him and his expertise and you will see a great result :). read more

If you're interested in veneers, I cannot recommend Dr. Soto enough! As someone who was very insecure about my smile, Dr. Soto listened exactly to what I wanted and gave me a perfect smile I'm not ashamed of anymore. I'd also like to add I've had BAD experiences in the past with dentists, but Dr. Soto eased my anxiety and made me comfortable throughout the whole process. He even squeezed me in the night before my wedding day; my pictures came out beautiful & no pain. My new smile is the exact shape and color I wanted. Thank you so much Dr. Soto! read more

Top-notch dentist, highly recommended! Dr. Soto fixed my chipped veneer that was done by another dentist. Scheduling an appointment with him was hassle-free, and the ladies at the front desk offered excellent customer service with a smile. Dr. Soto's office is aesthetically pleasing and clean, so it's a nice experience to attend. I also had a teeth cleaning and was very satisfied with the service. 10/10. read more

Dr. Robert Soto is absolutely BRILLIANT! I love my veneers! I had my top front four teeth replaced with beautiful natural looking veneers and I could not be happier. I made an appointment with Dr. Soto after reading spectacular reviews and looking through before/after photos on Instagram: life.of.a.dentist. I immediately fell in love with his work. Everything exceeded my expectation. The office is smart, clean and modern. The receptionist and dental assistants are all very sweet and professional. Dr. Soto is highly knowledgeable, thorough, reassuring and explains every step of the procedure. He is very genuine, kind, calm and cool. Fun fact: He loves the Warriors!!! After my first visit, Dr. Soto sent a short video chat recapping our conversation. I was beyond impressed. I've never seen any doctors go the extra mile after a free consultation. It was personal and it made me feel confident about my decision to proceed. On my second visit, I had my teeth whiten. After 4 rounds (same day), my teeth were a few shades lighter and they looked great. It tingled for the first few hours due to sensitivity but it subsided quickly. Overall, it was a great experience. On my third visit, Dr. Soto gently put plastic veneers on my teeth, while my porcelain veneers were being made. They looked really nice and gave me good vision of what to expect. On my fourth visit, I was excited to have my porcelain veneers. The procedure was simple. Now I have a new smile and perfectly shaped teeth. All my visits and procedure were smooth and comfortable. Fun fact: During my procedure they offered an iPad and headphones so I could watch Netflix or listen to iTunes. It was a good distraction. It has been 3 weeks since my final visit. I love them more each day! Dr. Soto, thank you so much for your meticulous attention to detail and patience. You and your team are the BEST!!!!! read more

I can't say anything but positive remarks about Dr. Soto and his team. From the video consult to the final fitting of my veneers I was met with nothing but expertise, confidence and the seemingly sole agenda to find what my wants were while fulfilling the needs as well. Dr. Soto was great at his needs analysis during our first in person consult/examination that followed from the initial video consult. My fear was having veneers that were obvious and bulky... Though, I have always considered a second career in being a weather forecaster... After the initial placement of temporary veneers, there was a follow up conversation a few days later where through his well thought out series of questions he was able to determine what my dream smile would be; and a week after final placement of the veneers, boy are they! I never was self conscious enough to hide my teeth when smiling, even when I had braces on; but I find myself showing these pearly whites whenever I can! Thank you again Soto and Team! read more

I know top dentistry because I've been to the best. I can now add Dr. Robert Soto, DDS, to that list. His office staff is lovely, but he's an artist. I broke a veneer, (front tooth!!!!), and his staff worked hard to get me in despite his packed schedule. He was understanding and helped me to choose a good shorter term, solution, i.e. he replaced that veneer with a composite, which allowed me to walk out of his office looking 100%. Amazing! And now I will go back to him for the veneer replacement when both his and my schedule permits. What a godsend he is!! You can trust his skill and relax knowing you are going to get an AMAZING result! Don't hesitate to put yourself in his capable hands! read more

I've been coming to Dr. Soto for over 3 years and can't recommend him and his team enough! They recently moved to a new office and it is gorgeous, polished, and extremely clean. The receptionists are friendly and always remember me, and their reminder system is so thorough that you'll never miss a visit! I used to hate going to the dentist, but now I always look forward to it (I know, right?!). I trust Dr. Soto's opinion so much that I have gotten his referrals to other amazing dental professionals, including my orthodontist and periodontist. Thank you Dr. Soto and team! P.S. I went to see Dr Soto at my wife's suggestion for a consultation. I have some major work going on in my mouth: implants, bridges, crowns, root canals, you name it. Since we were just starting with COVID, Dr Soto did a virtual consultation - I was impressed how much he was able to gather and propose based on just this virtual meeting. Thankfully in June his office was open again, and I went to see him in person. His office is immaculate, his COVID precautions top notch. He did the consultation and right after proposed the detailed plan for my restorations - and told me he can be done with me in 2 visits. I had been told by other dentists my case was complex and required a long time to prepare and resolve, but Dr Soto came across as extremely confident that he can get this done. I spent a lot of time looking at his Instagram page and everything looked possible. I decided to move forward, and I'm very pleased I did. In two sessions (one for the prep and temporaries, and one for the final placement) I have a smile I never thought possible for me. He had to deal with 2 implants, a bridge, several crowns, veneers, and a gum lift. Throughout the process he was always available for my questions, informed me of what was being done, and did not deviate from his original cost estimate. Everyone at his office is also great, Rachel in particular, but also his assistants and hygienists. You owe it to yourself to at least have a virtual consultation with Dr. Soto. I am glad I listened to my wife, I need to do that more often! read more

I've been visiting this practice for 16 years and am completely satisfied with the treatment and care I receive. Dr Soto and his staff are professional, thorough, kind, gentle and thoughtful. I highly recommend Dr. Soto and his team. read more

I didn't have the greatest experience at my previous dentist so I was definitely a little apprehensive about choosing a new dentist altogether. But after seeing all of the wonderful reviews about Dr. Soto's office, I had to see the great things they were doing at this place. I was so happy after my first visit that I told a few people to schedule their cleanings here! read more

Dr Soto was recommended to me by a close friend. I was very anxious about going to a new dentist especially during this time, and have always been afraid of the dentist. My fears were allayed by the professionalism of the whole team, starting with the front desk and Rachel who is so organized, communication is timely, and customer service is great. Extra safety precautions are taken - (additional hepa filters added to the office, sanitizers, questionnaire completed before each visit, temperature taken, you rinse with hydrogen peroxide, the PPE's -N95 masks and gowns worn by the team, changed for each patient, and overall cleanliness) The office and all equipment are modern up to date, and there is a real respect for cleanliness. Most important Dr Soto is on top of it - very talented and skilled. He listens to patients concerns, provides a solution, and explains what he is doing and why. New patient visits start with client's dental history which is reviewed throughly with Dr Soto, as well as any medical history which might be pertinent. Then an exam is done, xrays if needed, no add ons, results, and course of treatment discussed. Once the treatment takes place the visit is recapped and you are shown the solution and given a printout of the treatment. I felt confident I was in the best hands. My experiences have been deep cleaning, two fillings, and soon two crown replacements. read more

I've always hated going to the dentist. However, my experience with Dr. Soto and his staff changed my mind. Although I am a new patient they treat me as if I've been there for years. Being a new patient they took a set of X-rays and Dr. Soto thoroughly explained what he saw wrong and what steps were needed to correct it. I never had a dentist who sat down with me and talked me through just the Xrays. It would usually be, "everything looks okay" or "you have a cavity we need to fill". You know how sometimes people tell you that you need work done but then you second guess if they are being honest or not ? I didn't feel like that at all in their office. They gladly answered all questions and made me feel very comfortable moving forward with my dental work. I needed a few fillings after everything was said and done. The day of my appointment was a bit nerve racking because, like I said, I hate going to the dentist. Aside from Dr. Soto and his staff assuring me everything would be okay they did a few things to really put me at ease. 1. Laughing gas. 2. Numbing my gums before injecting the Novacaine 3. They handed me an ipad with headphones! This was the game changer folks! They could've taken out my wisdom teeth for all I cared. I didn't feel a thing and almost forgot where I was. After the procedure they let me rest until I felt comfortable to head out the door. I kept thinking to myself, that was quick and painless. Dr. Soto and his staff are top notch in dentistry, service, and following up. Plus their dental equipment seems very up to date. Look forward to going back and getting my teeth done right ... and putting on the laughing gas mask and headphones! read more

When I went in for my cleaning a year ago, they told me that I had to do it in two parts because I hadn't been in in a while and there was too much cleaning to do in one session. What they didn't tell me or take into consideration was that my insurance will only pay for two visits in a calendar year. So they scheduled the next visit for six months later and are now billing me for the visit, claiming that they told me that this would happen. Which they didn't. Shame on me for not keeping better track of what my insurance would cover and how many visits I'd made in the calendar year. But this seems like something that the office should bring up when the customer is scheduling the next cleaning. Frankly, I'm most upset about the office's refusal to negotiate at all about this. They want to be paid in full? Fine. It's the last dollar they will see from me. read more

Over the last few years, I've seen a revolving door of hygienists (some good, some painful) and doctors at this practice. Not the kind of stability I like to see in a health-care provider. The biggest issue for me, though, is that my husband recently had some work done, and they didn't properly explain that -- even though it was routine work -- it wouldn't be covered by insurance. After he pointed this out, they kept insisting that they told him this up front, refusing to admit their part in the misunderstanding or negotiate at all on the cost. Given that we've both been long-term patients of the practice, I expected better. When I called to cancel my upcoming appointment, the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule. When I told her that no, I wouldn't be returning to their practice, she said "OK" and hung up on me -- didn't care why. Clearly their front-office standards are slipping, too. read more

I take such terrible care of my teeth, it borders on neglect. Mostly because I'm not prone to cavities. That said, I do want to keep my teeth for as long as possible. When my colleague recommended Dr. Soto, her rave review resulted in my calling to schedule an appointment shortly after. The team there is incredibly patient and friendly. They explained several simple ways to better maintain my mouth health - and why each step works. No one has fun at the dentist. But I can say I enjoyed my appointment with Dr Soto and his staff. I look forward to seeing them again in six months. They have a five-star rating for good reason. read more

The whole practice gets a 10 stars from me and I thank my partner's colleague for referring this fabulous dental practice. So I'm the biggest chicken when it comes to the dentist. I have had cleanings, root canal, crowns (and not the one on my head) and a few fillings at this office and have always been the most pleasant experience. Not to mention all of these procedures were all done in one office which means that I didn't have to go all over town to get all my dental work. Margo, who has been there over 100 years as I am told (ok not that long) has the greatest humor that will soothe your visit and keeps you laughing. Dr Kadosh and Dr Bayer are the sweetest, nicest, and most pleasant dentist that I have ever come across. I especially feel VERY relaxed when the nitrous is used for a more careless mouth drilling.... LOL. Oh ya, the inserts that they have on the lights above the dental chair has clouds and this ads a relaxing experience. Not to forget Rachel and Christine, who work in the front are always pleasant on the phone and say thank you at the end of your appointment with a smile when you leave the office. So If your looking for a new dentist with a great reputation, look no further this is the dental practice you need to look into. Tell them you read Jorge's (hor-hay) yelp review. Decided to go with Dr. Soto because he has a lot of veneer cases that he posts on his Instagram page. Unlike other offices where they just show you pictures you can actually see his work. Before and after results. Not just pictures but him actually performing the procedure on his patients. I am so glad that I chose Dr.Soto. The end result far surpassed my expectations. Dr. Soto was really calm and patient with me. I give him a huge + for that.
