I had a tooth removed on 1/12/24 and based on the reviews I wanted to cancel, thankfully I didn't. I was greeted in a professional manor then escorted to the chair. I didn't feel the needles which was surprising. About 15 minutes later the procedure started and it went great, so great that I asked to see the tooth because I couldn't believe it had been extracted. This is where things take a turn, I was pleased with the experience that I asked to have my other tooth extracted immediately, they said 1/19/24 was the soonest availability. I arrived at 8:58am for my 9am. I was greeted with a friendly good morning and told the dentist would see me shortly. She greeted me, numbed me up and complimented my shoes. I laid in the chair for about 10 minutes then the procedure started. Within 15 minutes the tooth was pulled. I'll be honest, I never expected it to go like this, people had told me that the worst pain they ever felt was getting a tooth pulled, I felt no pain. Beyond thankful for their treatment. I came in for X-rays with an incredibly infected tooth and had it extracted within 24 hours. Despite my circumstances, everyone there really did their best to make me feel comfortable. Christina at the front desk runs a tight ship, so come in with manners in check and details ready - everything will be seamless. Overall, no frills at this establishment. Come in, light paperwork, receive your service, leave. Paid out of pocket and the pricing was reasonable considering cost of dental care in the US. Got to keep my tooth after! Context: I was spoiled by my 1st dentist (yrs 3-30), until he retired. But, I was shocked at how hard it was to find a good "next dentist" (even so-so dentist) once I needed to. When I moved west (to SF), I hoped it'd be easier to find a new dentist near my longterm dentist's level of quality... but was worse (ex: last dentist was dishonest, + did expensive work that didn't need doing). Fast-forward to this year/2025: I suffered some big issues - legit ones... and thankfully, somehow, found Dr. Cravens at Cosmo Dental. WOW! Dr. Cravens is exceptional -- talented, honest, caring, and goes above-and-beyond. He's utterly perfect. I honestly can't recommend Dr. Cravens enough. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt completely at ease which I've never said about going to the dentist before. The staff is incredibly kind and professional, and the space is clean, calm, and modern. His chairside manner is gentle yet confident with his knowledge and impeccable skillets as he talked me through each step of the arduous process and he constantly checked to see how I was doing throughout the appointment. My dentist was great! She knows what's she's doing and thorough. This place accept all major insurance and Denti-cal, but do inquire with your provider first to see if your plan allows it. My root canal was paid out of pocket and cheaper than the dental school. The receptionist isn't easy to deal with at first but eventually she will open up to you. Absolute five-star work done by Dr. Antipova and her staff. I lost a few front teeth recently due to an accident at work and needed to have implants put in to repair the damage. I was sent to Cosmo Dental through Workman's Comp, having no idea whether or not the oral surgeon I was going to be seeing would rush the job and collect a quick pay out or take the time to do the work properly. Fortunately, it became clear from day one that Dr. Antipova had absolutely no intention of attaching her name to sub-par work in favor of a quick payout. The initial surgery to implant the posts for the crowns went smoothly, and all throughout the healing process, Dr. Antipova and her staff were there to let me know what to expect and to answer any questions that I might have. The six month healing process passed quickly, and when I returned to set the molds for the crowns, the process again went smoothly. A couple of weeks later, the lab had completed their part of the work and the crowns were scheduled to be put in place. I could not have been happier with the results. The look is so natural that it's vurtually impossible to tell the crowns are not my natural teeth. Cosmo Dental receives my highest recommendation. I just called today to make an appointment on 8/28/24 @ around 4:30pm and as a two language speaking individual, Spanish being my first, I simply asked when the receptionist answered if she spoke Spanish to which she replied no do you speak English. Totally bearable, no pain felt during the whole procedure, other than exciting I really don't know what else to say. I would like to believe Dr. Olga Antipova is the blonde women doctor, the whole time up until the surgery she was the one welcoming me and making me feel comfortable, which I was. Super awesome that she was able to make me feel good and not as nervous about the whole surgery. Gave me ibuprofen right after the local anesthesia shot, and then educated me on how pain and painkillers work. Great! Then there's the man doctor, and another guy also. They are all there to help me with my wisdom teeth removal, the thing is I closed my eyes during the whole procedure because I didn't wanna see any of their hands doing something with my mouth, so I actually don't remember/know who extracted the 4 teeth. But it was great, I think it was the male doctor who removed the 4 teeth for me, but they are all great. They speak a bit of Russian during the oral surgery but it was fun, idk, since I've never been operated on I just thought the whole procedure was exciting, and I'm not tryna hype it up more than I should but somehow I am actually hyped after the surgery lol. During the whole procedure, I didn't feel any pain other than when injecting local anesthesia, because I needed some more to numb my jaw out. But it wasn't even pain, it was more so they pressed their finger on an area in my mouth which was a bit sensitive, I almost yacked but it I just wanted to stress that the surgery itself was smooth. 4 teeth removed and wounds stitched in under 20 minutes. No jokes. Gotta take antibiotics and pain killers afterwards, but overall great experience. Wish I knew this place sooner since they take Medi-Cal patients. read more

Very easy to get to from the Montgomery Bart station. Pretty enjoyable walk to their building. It was my first time going to Cosmo Dental as an emergency walk in. Dr. Antipova and her assistant Galena provided me with excellent customer service. Their office is clean and the staff is accommodating. The intake was smooth, The Dr. was quick and professional, she explained the procedure clearly beforehand. The whole extraction and bone graft procedure was over in less than appx. 30 mins. She doesn't deserve the title "Doctor" She's far from it. My advice to anyone who reads this review is to stay away from this dental clinic. 1. Olga Antipova is inexperienced, impatient, unempathetic, and dishonesty. 2. She is the receptionist and the doctor at the same time; she'd leave in the middle of the treatment to answer phone calls, and to check-in patients. completely unprofessional. 3. No communication whatsoever, she just took X-rays, and began the work without even telling what she's going to do. I was under the impression that she's just going to check my teeth but that wasn't the case. 4. She over charged my insurance, and currently there is an investigation into this matter. 5. She causes pain, and would never return phone calls even if these calls were emergency. 6. Went in for cleaning only, and a regular checkup I came out with incomplete work, and sever pain which lasted for couple weeks until I've found a different dentist who actually has real experience to fix the damage she'd caused. 7. For 29 years, I've had fillings and nothing was wrong until Olga Antipova thought it's time to remove those good fillings and not refill them properly. Upon seeing a different dentist, I was told that those fillings were not done properly. 8. She does not care if you're numbed or not, she will begin the torture as soon as she injects you. Just because she is in a rush, she has no consideration for her patients. You will be making the biggest mistake in your life, like I did, and be left in pain for weeks before this doctor considers returning your text messages or calls to book you for another appointment to reverse/treat the damage she's done. I've been in pain for 2 weeks despite many calls and text messages expressing my pain. No responses whatsoever until 2 weeks later. 2 weeks of agonizing pain, and this doctor did not even care. I never read the one star reviews until after the damage was done, but I know better now, and I confirm everything everyone have mentioned in those one star reviews. First of all will start with a good part: appointment was scheduled pretty quick, numbing part is good where you won't feel much. The dentist seems to be very confident in what she does. Now about bad side of my experience. Dentist is very pushy about what SHE thinks needs to be done. You have to be stern about what YOU coming for and if YOU feel and agree to proceed, THEN the Dentist should proceed with the agreed plan. No instructions were ever given after procedure and no phone call was ever received about scheduling a follow up after the procedure. When I tried to call, it re-routed me to the text message. And no reply even after I messaged multiple time to schedule my follow up. Now I am not sure whether it was due to me refusing to proceed with more expensive procedure or it was simply lack of care for the patient after $$$ were received. I've been going to Cosmo dental for about 2 years now and I had my wisdom teeth removed and two crowns put. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Alexander Antipov. The removal was fast and I didn't feel anything. I was nervous because I was 32 when I had them removed and I was afraid that the recovery might not be so easy but thankfully everything healed well. I didn't have any complications or infection. Dr. Olga Antipova did the crowns. She was very gentle and the crowns match the color of my teeth nicely and feel good in my mouth. Dr. Antipova is super friendly. She always gives me helpful tips for good oral hygiene and I can tell she's sincere and cares about her patiences. I went here cuz she was the only oral surgeon in SF that accepts denti-cal. This place is a SCAM. I got to my appointment and when I tried to go in I asked if my mom could come (out of courtesy for her) the dentist assistant literally barked NO at me (even tho they had spacious room). This dental assistant (old lady with Botox and short hair) asked me have if I had done X-rays before, I told her yes. When I told her that's not possible cuz I got scammed at another place she literally leaves me as I was talking. She has a pissed off face and stuck up attitude demeanor, UNPROFESSIONAL. All of a sudden the dentist come and she tells me to step out to do the X-ray which is literally infront of my cubicle. As I was on the X-ray seat the dumb assistant BRINGS IN SOME OTHER GIRL TO SIT IN MY CUBICLE WHERE MY STUFF WERE!!! (even tho the other rooms were empty) I was shooook. I was baffled!! Whaaaat?!!! I had to go in while that patient was in there and get my stuff. Sooo unprofessional. Doctor tried to tell me I'll have to additionally pay $600 for each wisdom tooth in addition to my dentical coverage. Get your money and your teeth. Save yourself and go to a professional place. I'm reporting this to Dentical because it's a scam! Update: I got my wisdom tooth removed at Estudillo Oral Surgery and Implantology. They accept debit-cal so go there. Most amazing dental experience of my LIFE! I love that they are accessible via text for both making appointments and asking questions. The entire staff is super friendly and efficient! Office was sparkly clean. The dentist checks you in herself, her staff is kind and very sweet and gentle. I had to have a tooth extracted and was feeling a little nervous about the procedure. I've witness teeth extractions done on my Dad and my husband and both times it looked extremely barbaric and painful and dangerous. This experience was NOTHING like that! The scariest part was having to sign the disclosure agreement that warns you of all of the worst case scenarios that could come from such an intrusive procedure, but everything else was a literal breeze! The x-ray technician was so gentle! Usually it is so awkward fitting those strange metal contraptions in your mouth for the X-rays, but some how this wasn't. When the dentist came in to get me numb, she was so gentle I barely even felt the poke from the needle. She administered the prefect amount where I didn't feel like a complete chipmunk and I didn't feel any pain. The extraction was literally 5 minutes! It was crazy how fast it was. Afterwards I kept waiting for the pain to get me...never did! She sent my prescription over to the pharmacy right after and it's the day after and I still feel no pain. I've literally experienced more pain from a teeth cleaning than I did from this extraction. If you're looking for a quick and easy and gentle experience, this is it. When I got there two weeks later they only did one of the fillings because of a 'busy schedule' and said come back again for the other.
