And the staff is amazing, super clean facilities, modern tech for paperwork and payment, and Dr. Fathi and staff are very professional (and friendly!) attentive, and explain everything they are doing, making sure you feel you are in good hands. Dr. Fathi is always on time with her appointments and she give you time...as in it does not feel rushed when you are there. Pros: nice office, cool view, respectful staff. They give you special treatment on your first visit, it's very fancy. Cons: the most rushed and sloppy teeth cleaning I've ever had. The Dr. had to show the assistant how to use the foot pedal to polish my teeth. Done in less than ten minutes. Even though they blocked off over an hour for my appt (since they scheduled me for a $100 laser treatment I already declined), they couldn't do a small filling for me right then and there. They didn't have enough staff for it apparently. X-rays and cleanings aren't done in the same appt. Be prepared to have to schedule two appts. Double check the dentist is in network, they were not for me (that's my bad). Claimed I needed four cavities filled, I got three separate opinions from three separate dentists and none of them said I needed a fill at all. To the point where all of them said they would not do a filling on me at all and that I didn't need one. When I called Skyline and asked for them to transfer over my X-rays to a new dentist, I was met with an "okay" and being hung up on. I get it. It's a business. They need to make money. Im fully aware this goes on, just super unfortunate as the staff was kind up until I asked to move X-rays to another dentist/denied laser. Get second opinions if you have a hunch that your teeth are fine. read more

I was looking for a new dentist and found Skyline. They had good reviews and was female operated, so I was in. Unfortunately my experience wasn't great. From the beginning they make you sign all this legal paperwork that's really intimidating. They make you pay the estimate up front. I've never had to pay for medical treatment up front before billing insurance. From the moment I was in the chair they were trying to up sell me. Telling me I need braces (I've already had them twice). I've gotten a second opinion and was told it was completely unnecessary. Also, the doctor outwardly expressed irritation with me and my gag reflexes. Then when I had to come back for a filling, mid procedure we decided to do a preventative fill. No lie, they stopped everything and made me sign my future bill saying I would pay. I'm half reclined, things in my mouth, and having to sign more paperwork. These people are PARANOID about not getting paid. After all this, there was more due on my bill after insurance, to which I paid over the phone promptly remembering all the threatening legal jargon in the papers I signed at the start. And 2 months later I get a bill saying it is overdue. Unbelievable! If you want a dentist that cares about you, is compassionate, kind and not obsessed with money and up selling, this is not the practice for you. read more

Let me start off with saying, I hate going to the dentist. Today was my first visit to skyline dental and I felt so welcomed and cared for. I wouldn't even get worried about a dental cleaning if I was coming here in the future. Not once did I feel like just a patient filling a chair. Jana took my x rays and she was so kind and personable. Dr Fathi is very knowledgeable you can tell she is an expert! One of my fears with dentist (because I've had it happen) is that they will tell me I have more cavities than I do or something similar. Dr Fathi is honest and will give you advice on how to better your dental hygiene. She won't add on extra things if they are not needed. She also gave me options when it came to some other work I needed which I appreciated. Lastly, the office is beautiful and has a gorgeous view, they are following covid guidelines & it seems like they are only working on 1 patient at a time but I'm not positive. Overall, go here! Referencing the business's reply below: I received one letter stating I had been sent to collections a month before it showed up on my credit report. I never received any emails regarding the outstanding balance. I did receive several emails trying to sell me teeth whitening packages and asking me to come use my FSA/HSA benefits. If you go here you will soon realize this place is only concerned with selling add-ons and getting you to buy clear correct. Maybe they should spend more time on billing correctly and reaching out to patients. Better yet, hire someone who actually knows medical billing and coding. Dr Pihar was amazing yesterday. It had been considerably too long since I had seen a dentist, and I was ready for lots of pain. She was SO gentle, and not at all nagging about my lack of dental visits. The pre appointment paperwork asked tons of questions about me as a patient , including things like do I not want to see the equipment used, do I not want to be alone in the chair , do I object to the smells of a dental office. None of these concerned me, but immediately impressed me and showed how much she wants to put her patients at ease. Even her choice of office is relaxing with one of the best views on the City that I have ever seen. The Doc really cares about her patients and wants us to he comfortable at all times. Best chairside manner that I have every seen. Even her voice and conversation is all about being soothing and calming. Not to mention, she is charming and very funny, and told one VERY inappropriate and VERY funny story about a recent encounter on a SF street. I will not repeat her story here, but it was like talking to a friend, and the story makes me giggle even this morning. She is a great judge of people and instinctively knew how funny I would find it. She is one of those incredibly beautiful women for whom her beauty is her least interesting trait. I plan to be a LONG TERM patient. I cannot recommend her higher, and my teeth feel GREAT this morning!! I wanted to straighten my teeth with Invisalign. Dr. Pihur offered the competitor, Clear Correct. I ended up not being a good candidate for ClearCorrect because my teeth were too twisted, so she suggested Fast Braces. While I wasn't crazy about the idea of having Fastbraces on my teeth, I did like the idea that the treatment time was faster, so I did it. I am really pleased with the outcome, and I think Dr. Pihur did a great job. A friend told me I had "movie star teeth"! A few things about Fastbraces in case you're considering them: (1) When you're done with the braces, you get clear retainers that look just like Invisalign or Clear Correct, which you have to wear around-the-clock for 30 days, taking them out only for meals. What a pain! I now can't imagine having had ClearCorrect trays for nine months or more because those have to be worn around-the-clock. I'm so much happier that I had the braces instead. (2) Many people thought my braces looked great on me and one person even said I was sexier. Can you imagine?! (3) Cleaning the braces was far easier than i expected and frankly took less time than it now does to clean my retainers. (4) Fastbraces does the job better and faster, in my opinion. It was a great option for me. (5) Get Dr. Pihur to do the work. She and her office staff take great care of you, give you all the wax you need, will let you pop in for three minutes to cut that annoying wire in the back of your mouth, and will leave you with the smile you've wanted since you quit wearing your retainers after 2.5 years of braces as a teenager (don't tell my dad). (6) Oh, yeah, and wear your retainers when it's all done. read more

I finally decided that I absolutely needed to go and Yelp (yes Yelp) found me the best dentist....who's also a 5 min walk away from my apt. Her sessions start on time, she's non-judgmental, friendly, professional, calm and efficient. Her staff is on point- patiently explaining my treatment plan, clearly detailing copay costs and follows up with emails and txt messages. My recent wisdom teeth extraction was painless, fast, and recovery took less than 24 hours, just as she predicted, much to the shock and awe of Everyone. Folks were scaring me with weeklong recovery stories but nope, Tatyana forecasted a 24hr recovery period and i didn't even need pain meds after 1 ibuprofen. If I'd known dentists could be such magical unicorns, I'd have visited a loooong time ago. I'm actually looking forward to my next cleaning! Highly recommend Tatyana and skyline dental. Oh and the view of Coit Tower and the bay from the dentist chair doesn't hurt either. And yes, they take Cigna dental coverage and copay is super affordable. read more

I think Dr. Pihur is San Francisco's finest dentist. I made an appointment for today and was very impressed. I had not met her before nor do I know her other than the fact that she had recently purchased my former dentist's practice. I wasn't sure what I was going to find on my first appointment with the new dentist... so I was a little apprehensive! Wow was I impressed. My teeth were cleaned to perfection. I also got a thorough checkup. Dr. Pihur found 3 small cavities (two were fillings that had fallen out). They checked and luckily my insurance covers it all 100%!!! Yay. Dr. Pihur's chairside manner is impeccable. She is a calming presence and gives very honest advice. I really enjoyed talking with her and instantly felt total trust with her.
