Patty melt
Autumn B.

My friends and I went out for a quick bite to eat and found out Diggers had opened up a new location pretty recently in Discovery Bay so we decided to give it a shot. I got a patty melt and my friend got a Turkey melt and we got some sweet potato fries for the table. The service was excellent and our waitress was super friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. The atmosphere was fun as there was a birthday party going on, and they also have a bar at this location. The food itself was good for the price, I'd go try it again.

Waiting is a breeze while teleporting back in time with this waiting bench ;)

The extra strawberries and whipped cream made me feel special. Best part is a walking exercise to and from home.

They're open! 7am -3pm with a full bar. It's a great addition to our neighborhood. Their full menu is available all day with breakfast and lunch. Support local!

We've come twice and both times were good experiences. It's been busy both times, but the wait was minimal. The servers are quick and friendly. The decor is elevated diner vibes as it's kept much of the layout of the previous restaurant in this space. The main changes are the hot rod murals and Digger's logos. The food was good both times. My wife especially enjoyed the California Benedict on special this time. I liked the Full breakfast with sausage links slightly more than the chicken fried steak. They have a full bar and cocktail menu. Make sure to bring cash as they've been "cash only" both visits. Hopefully they'll get card options soon. Overall it's a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Really $13.00 for this cheesecake to go, notice the little container of sauce, that's a jello shot…read morecontainer, the cheesecake is smaller than that, we are talking maybe two tablespoons or less of cheesecake. Also the bread we ordered is like a little hunk of baguette bread like 1/2 inch slices and maybe six pieces, think Safeway; buy a whole baquette for $2.99 Here they serve you like 1/6th of it and they charge you $6.00. When are we as consumers going to stop tolerating this. I know things cost more but given my example of the Safeway bagette they are making 36.00 off a baquette of bread we can buy at Safeway for $2.99. I love to go to dinner and I respect overhead costs but I am also a consumer and work hard for my money, I don't mind paying for an evening out and enjoying my food but I also expect good service and fair portions for what I pay, otherwise I go somewhere else. See the pictires of the cheesecake it really is an insult, and service was pretty poor, delayed attention and forgetting items we asked for BTW, I never do this, meaning complaining on social media but, I guess I am just getting fed up!

The dining room is nice and has the look and feel you expect from a steakhouse. Our server was fast, friendly and attentive. The food was great as well. My favorite has always been the boneless short ribs. My wife is happy that the Gnocchi and Steak Tips is back on the menu. (It had disappeared a few years ago, but might have come back a while ago for all we know) My daughter loved her wings and the clam chowder. The only issue was that I called ahead for reservations and indicated it was our anniversary, which they noted over the phone. When we arrived I explained we had a reservation, which the hostess either didn't understand or seemed to brush off because there was plenty of seating. This translated to our server not being aware we were there for any specific occasion. We did overhear the hostess tell our server she forgot to mention something similar about another table who had a birthday on their reservation. They were able to catch that one in time and gave them the birthday treatment. Ultimately, it's not a huge issue and we still had a nice time, but the extra acknowledgement of it being our anniversary would have pushed it over the top. We will be back to try some of the other menu items because there are several that looked good.

I really enjoyed the Philly Steak sandwich and the Dirty Fowl. Thank you for serving us old fashioned French Fries and not the typical Sysco, Beer Batter ones that everyone serves now. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from the moment we walked in. There was no host or anyone at the entrance to greet us. I walked in and tried to ask a staff member--a thin man with short hair--how things worked here and if they served food. He completely ignored me. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he couldn't hear me over the loud music. However, shortly after, my husband walked in and spoke directly to him, and he was completely ignored as well. The man simply gave us the silent treatment. Needless to say, we didn't stay, order anything, or eat here. We ended up walking right back out. I rarely leave negative reviews, but as newcomers looking to enjoy the downtown scene, this was a terrible first impression of local hospitality. We definitely won't be back.

We were just told to sit ourselves. We sat for 20 minutes before a host walked past and finally handed us menus. After that, our server, Liz, took care of tables that came in after us - walking right past ours multiple times without stopping or acknowledging us at all. We ended up giving up on the table and playing pool instead. We mentioned what happened to the bartender, who was also the manager on duty, and she just said "you'll have to talk to her" - no attempt to fix the situation or apologize. By 6 PM -almost two hours after we sat down -we still had not been served by a single person. No water, no drink order, nothing. This is the second time this has happened to us with the same server - we had the identical experience about three months ago. An empty dining room, tables that came in after us getting served, and we're the only ones completely ignored for two hours -- that's not a fluke, it's a pattern. We have been playing Here for years. I Won't be back.
