Jesse did a great job replacing the battery. In fact, the first one tested low in charge, so he swapped it out for another one. Then, it turned out my auxiliary battery also needed to be replaced, which he also did. Throughout the process, the business was polite and their secretary, Red, kept in constant communication with me via text message to confirm appointments and update me on Jesse's ETA in the field. The pricing was clear and reasonable, and everything was put back immaculately in my car after the repair (the batteries sit under the front passenger seat). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend D&J to others here in the High Desert!

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for a new date and time. Once again, no one showed up, and I didn't receive any text message or update. I've called multiple times and sent several messages with no response at all. This level of communication and reliability is unacceptable. After finding a safe place to park and calling my insurance company USAA who contacted Agero, Clinton was dispatched. He called to check in with me, and informed me that the place USAA or Agero had selected to send my car was a tire shop that was closed for the day. He informed me that there was a small repair shop actually within the parking lot, or if I wanted to get service that was covered by my car warranty, I should ask USAA and Agero to change my towing location to the Valley Hi Kia dealership, and that they lock the gates at night (it was 6pm), so I should schedule the tow for the morning. I highly recommend Clinton. He is a kind, honest, and hard worker. He will give you an honest assessment, and strives to do what is right. Plus, he is quick and efficient at towing cars.

It does not matter the industry, if you have high level skills but do not know how to treat your customers well and communicate effectively, it does not matter. From the very start of the converstation, Empfield Diesel was all about helping you with your problem. In my case, it was after hours, well beyond the time anyone else answered their phone, and well beyond the time anyone would re-open their doors. Josh went above and beyond to make sure that one way or another, through him or another, I would not be left without recourse. He GENUINELY sought to help someone in need, and above all, I truly appreciate and respect that. Second, is the technical insight. Empfield Diesel took the time to study symptoms, and tractor beaming to indicators I myself had not thought to even consider. As he mulled over the observations, he started piecing together a theory that eventually led to a simple, 10 second test, that definitively illuminated the path to finding the source issue. Most mechanics and doctors would simply just start leaning on a series of time consuming tests that may or may not yeild insight, and don't get me wrong, they are a part of the process, however I was very impressed at the critical thinking prior to resorting to standard operating procedures. Lastly, and for many it is not last, is pricing. Empfield Diesel could not have been more reasonably fair, and I stand firmly that going to them was worth each and every cent!! Then we found Josh -- and it completely changed everything. Josh is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to very detailed look over our motor and to answer all of our questions and actually explain what was going on with our truck. After another mechanic shop handed our truck back to us as a complete can of worms, we called Josh. The same day, we came out, he pulled the codes, explained the issues in detail, and didn't even charge us for his time.
