I needed to fix a toilet and make a request here on Yelp for estimates and he was the fastest in replying. Didn't get the quote via message and later on I found out others were charging less for the same type of service but I like the fact that he was super fast, went quickly to Home Depot to get the part needed, did the work fast too and he compensated the little overpriced by fixing for free my shower door and checking the balcony door and what issues to fix there. I appreciated his patience with my Venmo issues when paying him and also while, suddenly, I got in a middle of a work call during our transaction. George, the owner, is great to work with! As a local realtor, I'm always looking for contractors that are honest, have integrity and do a good job. I was in the process of selling my home and needed repairs done on my porch railing. I was quoted by a pest control inspection company the repairs would cost over $1,000. I got different bids and George was quick to respond and very reasonable with his pricing. He removed, replaced and painted the porch railings. When I made the initial call, George came out and inspected the faucets that I wanted replaced/repaired and he tried to locate cartridges that would fit our sink faucets , however, he was unsuccessful. I told him I would order two new faucets and let him know when they were in so he could come back and do the installation. I received the faucets and set up three different appointments with George to come and install them. Each time he came up with a different excuse as to why he would be unable to show up at the time we agreed to. Very disappointed in his unreliability. We needed our garage pedestrian door replaced and I called Diego to see if he could do this task. He told me he was a "door expert" and could easily do the job. After he installed the door we noticed it was not properly aligned - there was a gap that gradually increased on the top of the door and it look misaligned. We mentioned this to Diego but he told us it's fine. He told us he would come back after our drywall was in to finish the trim around the door and complete the job. The next day the door wouldn't close properly and was warped - Diego filled our frame with expandable foam (??) which warped the door. We also found the threshold was floating in place - it was not secured and you felt wobbly stepping over the threshold. We called him and asked him to return as our one day old door was already broken. He flaked the first day he was to come fix it as he said his son was sick. When he finally came he managed to make the door close better (it still sticks and hits on the sides) and wedged a piece of wood under the threshold (it still feels wobbly). He again reminded us he'd come back to finish the job and do the trim. We called him one week later to do the trim and he told us he would be here next Wednesday. Tuesday night comes and we text him to confirm he's coming the next morning and he says he can't make it "he's out of town". We ask him when he can come and he says the following Wednesday. The following Tuesday we text him again asking if he can come the next morning, he again flakes and this time tells us no, he now "has a heart problem" and tells us "it's three nails put the frame in yourself". We asked when he could come and door the trim since he said how easy it was and he would not give us a date or any help. If three nails is too much for Diego to do with his new "heart condition" it seems like this handyman is out of business for good. He flaked three times in three weeks with excuse after excuse and did a very lazy job on a door that does not function properly. We would not recommend Diego and wish we could give 0 stars. read more

Had a couple of doors that needed new trim replaced so I contacted Diego's Handyman to help out. He gave me a really great quote that I could not turn down. He even suggested a place that had low prices on material. George and his partner came by in the early evening to tear down the old damage trim on the door to the garage and my bedroom door. They cut down the new trim to fit the doors and nailed them in. They did a good job, they were professional and both had awesome attitudes. The closet doors were a bit too long and he was able to adjust them to fit. We had scheduled the water heater replacement on a day that ended up being quite rainy, but he still picked up the water heater from HD and complete the installation. We had a fence that was falling down and a wooden gate that sagged and was difficult to open. George dug out the old fence post and installed a new one without damaging any of my bushes that were growing next to it. He installed tension wires and larger hinges on the gate, which now opens easily and doesn't sag. He also installed a new kitchen faucet for us. George is wonderful! He was the first to call back, always texted when he would be arriving, made sure we were in the same page, was always calm and a good communicator. He explained everything g and answered all my questions. He picked up and delivered (after having to change out the item) a side garage door, installed a deadbolt and new door handle, replaced interior and exterior casings (trim), and a threshold that I never knew would solve our problem if having a large gap at the bottom . The door works like a charm and he made sure there were absolutely no gaps anywhere. He also changed our our bathroom vanities and replaced the summers. He went out of his way to make sure I understood all of the steps involved as well as why he did certain things the "proper" way. Today he installed our new ceiling fan with lights. Don't bother calling him. If you schedule an appointment, he will not come and he won't inform you if he can't make it. You have to call him 3-4 times before he actually comes to fix the issue. After he looks at the issues, it takes him days to complete a small job such as fixing a drawer. If you've used him in the past, he'll bring up an "unpaid" invoice from years ago without providing a copy of the invoice. He doesn't keep copies of his invoices so watch out you might be charged again for the same job in the future. read more

I scheduled an appointment and the guy never showed up. I called him a few times after our scheduled time but he didn't answer.

I was suppose to hire George to replace our kitchen faucet, do recaulking, and resealing.
