In the midst of cobblery Zurich is a hole in the wall. I passed over this restaurant twice before finding it. The prices are decent and the food appeared yummy as it was being made.
A "chill" atmosphere surrounded the restaurant, as one would expect in the area. It took some time for the food to be prepared. The seating was extremely limited which forced parties greater than three to sit separately. A positive was that the cashier brought the food out to diners instead of calling a number.
My party ordered a Pomodoro penne, Arrabbiata penne(recommended), and a margarita pizza. As I took my first bite of the Arrabbiata, I had a Ratatouille moment. This was the same type of pasta I got at home! Normally I wouldn't be happy paying so much for a pasta I could get at home, but considering Switzerland isn't exactly a foodie place, I was excited to get good tasting food.
The Arrabbiata was definitely a highlight. The margherita pizza was good and the pomodoro was decent. The food made me happy enough to get an ice cream from the location instead of going elsewhere. The ice cream was a minor step-up above normal ice creams I've had in the area.
Considering the prices:
Food- 5/5
Service- 4/5
Ambiance- 4/5
As often happens, dining isn't only about the taste of food. The Food experience should also make one happy. A rounding of the different factors would make this a 4/5, however, it is appropriate to round this location up and give it 5 stars in relationship to its price read more
