Two Floors of Outdoors!! For my money Dick's Sporting Goods is the King of Outdoor Gear. This location is especially one of my favorite Stores, they always have what I need at very reasonable prices plus clearance deals that can't be beat. Fishing, Camping, Hunting, Outdoor Wear, Work Out Equipment, Sports and Activities this place has it all. I find this store to be well run and is almost always staffed with helpful employees. Founded in Binghamton, New York in 1948 by Dick Stack as a small bait and tackle shop the Chain presently has over 610 Stores in 47 States primarily in the Eastern United States. They must be doing something right.

Good selection and overall layout pretty good. Service was not great and checkout attitude was a bit sassy.

Changing rooms are buzz for a helper. Definitely enough staffers and people who are friendly to help all over. Three staffers were talking about one pair of ski boots they sold with the wrong insoles (it was the display old blue insoles instead of the new ones) and trying to find and contact that customer to the best of their ability. Good customer service, there. Winter gear almost all out in February, so end of season and clearance sales on some items, but not others (same snow bib for women was on sale, the men's version - not on sale? guess it's about how many they've sold?). Didn't really find any ski socks of note. Some jackets on sale. And some weird jelly bean flavors. Skip the bubble tea version, they taste terrible. Bike and ski services in the back. Prices aren't too bad, so hopefully would be smooth to get service. Will bring back my bike later this year to see what they can do about a sticky lower gear.

A staff did ask if they could help me but they just had other things to do seemingly. I ended up being there for a a couple of hours and purchased a large amount of items. (15 full price) and becoming a 'member'.The staff that let you in the fitting room were extremely helpful. Upon returning twice to return a total of two items, the cashier staff were rude and not caring, almost disgruntled. Very odd and won't be returning here even though it is close to work. I liked and enjoyed the shopping but the staff either get heat from their corporate people (which is probably the case) or are just very unhappy. I can't imagine why outdoor loving people would be unhappy!

While it's certainly not the biggest store they do carry a very good selection of seasonal outdoor gear. Excellent Sporting Goods, Hunting, Fishing, and Camping departments for all of your outdoor sporting activities. They have pretty decent prices on most items and always move alot of clearance through out the store. They have a great selection of hiking boots in their shoe department at very competitive prices. The customer service here is pretty good for the most part and the staff seems to want to help with your shopping needs. I can recommend this store to be a very solid 4 stars.

I asked him for suggestions on certain sneakers- he could have care less. He made it clear in front of my friends we were not a priority and he was just down right rude. If I'm gonna spend 100 + bucks I want the experience to be worth my while and to have somebody who works there that is knowledgeable. I mean, if you hate your job so much and you don't wanna measure people and you tell them to just do what's best and you can't be bothered. Why then are you working there? Such a shitty experience.. these guys need to be trained on customer service and they need to be trained on their own product. Some of them didn't even know what a tennis shoe was or a pickleball shoe was. This is a very well-versed area. People should know what they're doing, want to be there or want to learn.

The first order arrived with her initials wrong and all numbers and patches missing from both the game jerseys and practice jerseys. After sending everything back, the second attempt was just as bad. The numbers were wrinkled, bubbled, and unevenly pressed across multiple jerseys. The warm up jacket had the correct initials but they were off center and crooked. At this point my daughter still does not have a playable uniform for her game tomorrow. She is 12 years old and should not have to feel singled out or embarrassed because a company cannot do its job. This is not just an inconvenience. It is affecting kids who want nothing more than to feel part of their team. We have wasted time, money, and energy sending uniforms back and forth and all we have to show for it are defective products. Any company that provides team uniforms should understand the responsibility they have to get it right the first time. This one clearly does not. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.

In total we've probably spent over $1000 over the last three seasons. This year the soccer kit changed we ordered the same sizing as last season but it is significantly smaller. We asked if we were able to get an exchange because the sizing is drastically smaller than last season and we ordered the same sizing. We don't think it's fair that we have to spend another $100 on top of all that we've spent. The woman who helped was not accommodating at all she just kept repeating all they could offer was 20% off and that in reality "they didn't even have to do that". She had zero empathy did not care that we've been loyal customers. She was very off-putting. There is a reason they have 1.9 stars.

(This was a few months ago so the details could be a bit iffy.)…read more This was a very impromptu trip and everything at Edge of the Woods makes doing that easy. Head to the website, book the date & time you want and you're done. www.watergapadventure.com/river-trips A few things worth noting: They offer multiple trip lengths. The standard 4-, 6- and 10-mile trip (Smithfield to Portland) are all booked generically and then when you get there you tell them what you want to do. All pricing is the same which believe me compared to others companies, that's very different - in a good way. They do offer two other longer trips but those require calls to the main office I assume to assess river conditions; your own competency and shuttle availability. The main office in Delaware Water Gap is very easy to find and there was plenty of parking on a quiet post-Labor Day Monday. You check in, you're handed a laminated map, life jacket and given a brief route explanation and then you're off in the van. One problem arose and it was kind of a PIA but it was worked around. Most companies have different types/sizes/models of kayaks and quite often, will ask you what you prefer. Not here. When we left the office, the guy driving didn't say a word to me until we get to Smithfield Beach to unload. He had a few kayaks pre-loaded in the carrier but definitely did not look at them before we left. One of them had a broken foot pedal that he said couldn't be used, another was very much designed for a smaller individual (i.e. if you're taller and/or taller & larger it ain't happening safely) which only left two tandem models. Using a tandem as a single individual is not the end of the world but especially when the seats are still left in the two person configuration (i.e. one front and one back versus the rear one being placed more towards the middle), it's a PIA to maneuver the craft and you are paddling harder to get the job done compared to a single. The scenery along the route was decent. You could see a bit of the Shawnee Resort and Golf Course, an old stone bridge abutment in the middle of the river, under and along 80 and then when you get into the Water Gap itself with the high cliff sides. Very picturesque. Once you go under the old train viaduct in Portland, you give the office a call for the shuttle to meet you at the out point which is at the Portland Pedestrian Bridge. The whole experience was about four hours door to door to cover the ten miles on the water plus the shuttle to & from the pick up and drop off points. Lots of nice scenery, due to the low water level there wasn't much in the way of current except for the area around viaduqt in Portland and even that wasn't bad. I'm not a big fan of the equipment here but I wouldn't let that deter me from coming back in the future for one of their northern longer trips.
