Tom was easy to work with, took his time to diagnosis best club, shaft, grip, and more by analyzing our physical attributes, swing, and other points of data in the hitting room. I got kicked out after going in to buy some shoes. First found a shirt on the ground picked it up then kept browsing. Came across a mannequin with its pants pulled down so me and some freinds took a quick laugh, fixed them , started walking away and then an employee swore at us (very unprofessional and rude) swore at us again to get out and never we never got my shoes. He was a very angry man who never heard us out on what actually happened. He made me and my freinds extremely uncomfortable the second we walked in and he discreetly followed us through out the store. Went to the Manchester store to return a hat. Had everything but my debit card to return the hat. The store manager handled this transaction. She started by Ridley asking for my receipt, which I provided to her. She then went and asked for the debit card to perform the return. I didn't have it with me, my wife had it to buy groceries. This rude manager cut me off saying that she could not do the return with the debit card... she didn't just say that it was store policy and whatnot, she scolded me about why they can't do it. I patiently told her why I was returning it and she finally said that she would do it this one time, which I appreciated, and that it will not happen again. I get they have policies, but no need to be rude and disrespectful. I spoke politely and respectfully to her and got a terrible attitude. I didn't appreciate it and didn't deserve it! This person was a manager and handled a simple situation poorly. People have bad days, but she is someone who should be an example to her employees and not take her own problems out on customers. It seems as if this particular location is in the habit of incorrectly signing items in order to get folks who are in a rush or not paying attention to overpay. Please, people, pay attention to pricing as they're ringing your purchase! They WILL attempt to screw you by as much as $20, in my case. If you don't, and have the gall to mention that you were overcharged, manager Scott will helpfully come over to verbally abuse you for a few minutes. Greetings from Center Harbor, NH! I don't know about the less than satisfactory reviews, but if I could rate the Concord, NH store and service 10s, I would. Gladly. Yesterday, I ordered 2 kayaks with curbside pickup and, within 2 minutes of letting customer service know that I was there, voila', the kayaks, paddles, and vests were in my truck! While there, I decided to look at bikes for me and my wife and I couldn't have landed a better sales associate than Dustin. Despite the fact he was covering the department by himself, he juggled 3 other customers when I was there and always came back to me. Dustin is very knowledgeable about bikes and he did a good job of matching us to the bikes I ultimately purchased. No small task given the fact that my wife was participating in the discussion from home! Any retailer would be happy to have Dustin representing the company. He's low key (no pressure), upbeat (a positive thinker), confident in what he's doing (he recommended the perfect bikes for us), and he has a great sense of humor. I probably could have bought the same Schwinns on Amazon at a slightly better price, but Dustin's customer-centric service made all the difference. Keep up the good work Dustin! Had my money stolen by either the employees or the store itself. I had ordered some shoes online and ended up being too small. I went to the Concord NH store to see if I could exchange them. They were not in stock, so they returned them and put them on a gift card. One of the employees then purchased the shoes in a new size right there in the store using the gift card and told me I was all set. Well the order never went through and now there is nothing that they can do because it was purchased on a gift card. I did not get the shoes nor the money I paid for them. It's a typical "big box" store with slow checkouts and employees more interested in texting that providing the customer service they are being paid to provide. Quite frankly, I usually order elsewhere online or I go to Bob's Stores. read more

I've been shopping at Dick's a lot lately due to having a family member move in who plays high school sports. We had a list of items to purchase and other than a greeter at the door, there were no sales people on the floor to help us navigate through the racks of clothes, which are arranged by brand, so if you are looking for black track pants, be prepared to look through the Nike, Addidas, Reebok, etc. rack. Not fun if you can't find the size you want. When I did ask for help someone said it was in the women's department (duh, really?) to which I responded, yes I imagine that women's soccer shorts are in the women's department, but can you show me where (as I thought to myself.....so I don't have to spend 30 minutes looking for each item)? Next we needed cleats, like every other kid in town, the shoe department was swamped with only two sales people. Mind you there were managers up front milling around. The wait to try on shoes was at least 10 minutes, then to get other sizes, we were behind a lot of people who were waiting before us. The shoe department needed help but no one seemed to care. When I got to the cash register to check out, I was asked the proverbial question, "did you find everything you were looking for?" to which I answered "no." They said, "do you want to try to find it now?" and I said I'd been in the store long enough and just wanted to get home. It's convenient when you need some one-stop shopping but don't expect much customer service. read more

Very unimpressed by hunting/shooting sports section. Went from there to customer service to get a hunting/fishing license. Was told they couldn't use a previous license to issue a new one. I was extremely polite and tried to get employee to realize I knew what I was talking about. Was again rudely told he couldn't do it. Rude employees. I wouldn't bother going here if you need to try on the clothes you're going to buy. I always need to try stuff on because different brands fit differently. In my case, the employee took forever to come over to open the fitting room door. She never came back when I pressed the button seeking assistance for a new size. I would normally have just gotten it myself, but I waited so long for her to let me in that I didn't want to leave the room. Then when I did go back with new sizes, she never bothered to come let me in at all. But I was confused because the employees were just hanging around. I also looked into buying a bike, but since literally NO employee bothered to come over and help me, I had no idea what I was looking for-- so I stopped trying to find someone to help me. I will say, they have a fantastic selection of clothes. The store is decently organized, but its hard to find the sizes you're looking for-- since the employees do not bother to ask if you need anything. Just order the stuff online, it probably will cost about the same. read more

The selection is just like any Dick's store, but I was seriously impressed by the helpful staff at this location! I was shopping for a specific coat and at least three different staff members helped me at some point. They were having a hard time finding my size in the shipment they had just received. At one point, I remarked that it wasn't that big of a deal and one of the employees told me that it definitely was a big deal and that he'd keep looking! I think they ended up going through 12 boxes to find my coat in my size without any complaints. read more

I bought my daughter a field hockey stick at the end of June. The stick I think was defective, it started to come apart on the end. They did an exchange for me without a receipt, and it had been over 60 days! They were able to look me up in the system and found the transaction. I'm very pleased! read more

This store stinks. I bought my husband a game camera for Christmas 12/19. He just opened it and put it outside. When we brought it in, it said it had 9 pictures on it. We put it in my camera to view the pics and nothing. The game camera was defective. I brought the game camera back. I was told by the asst manager that they do not take back defective product and I would need to call the manufacture. He said I can do it this time as a 1 time courtesy. I could not believe that. I bought this item on 12/19 and brought it back within 30 days 1/15. Why wouldn't a store take back an item that did not work and just replace it with a new one with no questions asked. I should have know this was a bad store. This is the second bad experience I have had with this store and asst manager. I gave the store a second chance but boy was I wrong will never buy anything from this store again. read more

Incompetent and disappointing...they promised to hold a bat for me for 24 hours at 10am and it was gone after I drove 30 miles and arrived about 7:30pm the same day. The manager was aware of the problem and didn't even come over to talk to us, and they didn't offer to do anything useful to make up for their error. The store has the worst customer service! Was there to buy new sneakers for myself ,wife and two kids plus baseball bat gloves and maybe some clothes. But after trying to get help for my kids to try on some shoes. The employees starting fighting about who has to help us!throwing the shoe at one another saying I'm not doing it you do it! Like we were not even there! Unreal left with my cash in pocket could not believe it. Beware they are not a store I would spend my money at.
