I have never seen this one time in my entire time in the stores. Whoever said that in another review is lying. - Prices are compared against the market and 99% of the time, the store will give the customer the best price they can. - They have the most generous trade-in sale percentages of any store around. Having spent time with the owner and founder, most of the employees, and a good amount of the customers, I can say that this store is hands down the best games/hobby venue around. What's even crazier, is that during said events, you're never pressured to buy anything. How do they make a profit? I'm not sure either. Seriously though, the place is super welcoming and patient with nerds of all types. Whether you're dipping your toes into nerd culture or want to dive in face first, they've had an answer and anecdote for nearly every geeky genre that has ever pique a nerd's interest. Highly recommend the D&D games though. They're super fun and very patient with beginner players and even welcome new walk-ins during the middle of campaigns.

A few books maybe but they're smack in the middle of the city in a high tent area and their selection of pretty much everything is great, do slightly higher prices are understandable. (The prices were a little high to begin with so the sale made them more regular). The display comic books had cool identifiers like the first appearance of Hawkeye, for example. They were valued higher because of these specifics. Even those were 20% off today. My husband's only critique was that some of the long boxes were packed too tight such that he would've had to pull out multiple comic books just to be able to search through the box. He says he would've bought more if there were about 15 fewer issues per long box. Come check it out!
