I like this location it is very convenient with a Costco here and many other good shopping venues. This location is a fairly good size with all of the typical brands you expect. Shoe dept is filled with young kids walking around looking busy and doing nothing. Sales person walked by us 4x. Then put our order into ridiculous system, waited another 20 to ask. Dicks Sporting Goods is a Large sporting goods chain with a big selection of all things sports with the exception of firearms. This particular store is fairly new and is very clean and well organized and carries a diverse product lineup to include all types of outwear/coats, soccer equipment, basketball equipment, football gear, soccer gear, team sports merchandize with a large focus on UM and MSU, camping gear, fishing gear, kayaks, full lineup of tennis shoes, bikes, exercise equipment, golf equipment, sports wear and the list goes on and on. Truly an impressive array of merchandize at very reasonable/discounted prices. Based on what I see in this store this could be your one stop shopping venue for sporting goods. If you are in the area you should definitely take some time out of your day to visit this store and you will be impressed by what you see. I have three kids who play travel soccer and a husband who is a PE teacher. This means we always have to make a stop for something at a sporting goods store! I love that Dick's seems well arranged but the selection and availability of in store items has gone downhill lately. It's almost a miracle if we actually find the size we need in store. We usually have to order online and hope that items fit. Props to the employees though. They are helpful and pretty apologetic when necessary. read more

I forgot to catch his name, but there is a young man and a middle age gentleman that works the golf department. I have never felt so comfortable and well treated at any other golf store or fitting area. Yes it is Dicks, but I'd come here a million times over anywhere else. They do quick good work and are very personable. I can't thank the young man in the golf department enough for how well he has treated me every time. Great service! read more

Wonderful experience at Dick's Sporting Goods Bloomfield. I'm a grandmother who needed a 16" bike for Christmas. I called first and spoke to the store, ordered it on line (great price) and they assembled it (no charge). When I went to the store they helped me pick out the right helmet and then put it all in my car. GREAT service! Highly recommend!!!! read more

This store has a GolfSmith, I went there trying to buy a driver. They do have a simulator to let potential buyers to try their clubs like all other stores, but I was told that I have to pay $50 to use it. What a Joke! It's like if you want to buy a piece of clothing, you need to pay for using the fitting room. I just can not believe this. read more

Terrible customer service, as I waited at checkout, one person at the register, one cashier, waited about 5 minutes customer still checking out as I looked around I saw 3 employees standing just off the register area shooting the breeze,then looked to the left and 2 other employees shooting the breeze and all noticed me waitimg and looking at them, but know one aware the cashier needed additional help, frustrated I walked,try another location or another company. Most sporting goods stores are staffed by bored high school jocks. This Dick's really isn't different in that regard, but they are really helpful and friendly high school jocks. They helped me out, answered my questions, and if they didn't know the answer, they found out. Things not in stock? They'll order it no big deal. Sure, the prices are a little high compared to like Amazon but if you can't figure out how to google "dicks sporting goods coupon" you deserve to be ripped off. read more

I came here to get some new workout shoes. I don't know what happened to the layout, but I miss the giant wall of shoes some Dick's stores have. I don't like having to hunt through tall aisles to find my shoes. Plus the selection has seemed to go down severely. I wish I had more option to find a good pair of shoes. read more

The store has great merchandise, but DO NOT buy a basketball net from them or have them install it. Their installation company is terrible. Horrible responsiveness, they don't call you back. One guy's voice is was "full", so I couldn't even leave a message after they made a major mistake installing our system. The customer service at this store is terrible. The manager's don't call you back when you have an issue, even thought they promise to. At least Corey and Lynn do not call back. If you have a simple purchase it's great, but I would caution against buying anything complex or anything that may require any level of actual customer service. read more

My mom bought me a shirt from here online for my birthday coming up. Put the shipping address to that store for me to pick up. The manager I guess, Jesse, first thing asks if my name is "my moms name".. I said no but I'm supposed to be picking it up. He didn't take the time to see who it was supposed to be shipped to, just wasn't going to give me the shirt. He refused to give me the shirt, said she had to be the one who picks it up, I explained she lives 3 hours away, "no exceptions". Mind you I went to two other locations where pick up was a breeze. He was rude... shocked he was the manager, after waiting about 10 mins in the store and my mother calling in to explain, he was rude to her and finally with taking the time to actually see my name on the pick up he acknowledged it, he had to inspect my ID and take his time checking all of the numbers on the slip he had and what was in my email. He acted like I was doing something wrong for picking up the shirt I had in my name... Totally made more difficult and dragged out than needed. Should have just taken the time to read my name there as well. Great that he can follow that policy so strictly, like so strict the person who the item is shipped to can't even pick it up... but they should work on that customer service aspect. Even conversations asking where the online pick up kiosk was, that store is nothing near friendly. Even though it's the closest location, I'll make the drive somewhere else. read more

Bought a pair of ice skates as a gift. They offered to sharpen them... sure why not? Skates were too big and were never used. I went to return them 2 days later and they refused because they sharpened them. "These are considered used." I was told. Isn't the next customer going to do the same?
