Trip #1 Went to exchange a gift my husband got me but didn't have receipt because it was a gift. The young lady at the register said she could do it but I needed an ID. I went in wallet to get ID then realized I'd been out the night before and asked my husband to hold my Id so i wouldn't have to carry a purse. She said ok just come back with drivers license and I'll Do the exchange. I left Trip #2 I came back to the store with my drivers license the next Morning. Another girl was at register. I explained to her what happened the previous day then she told me that with my driver's license all she could do is give me a "current price store credit" which was a few dollars when I know my husband paid so much more only a week prior. Plus I'm trying to exchange NOT return! Now, while this might be the policy...the girl on trip #1 told me something completely different so as far as I'm concerned, that's what should have been honored ! Instead this girl refused to even exchange a gift for the same thing which to me is ridiculous. It's an even exchange for same Priced item and any other store would oblige. I told her that the day prior I was told all I needed was my ID for it to be done. She basically told me no and to do even exchange I'd still need receipts or card that was used. I didn't want to drive all the way here AGAIN so I asked who else can I talk to about this , to which she said in a smart @$$y way "well I'm the lead cashier so..." . To which I said , this is my 2nd trip up here. And I'm irritated because I came back here with what I was told I needed to have yesterday! She just stood there and looked at me as if to say "oh well" so I left before I said something. Trip#3 I came back AGAIN after going home and having my husband go thru each of his credit card accounts ( ridiculous) to see which card he used when he bought it. I took that card with me. There was a tall brown skinned sweet young lady there named Trinity . Gave me ZERO issue. She completed my exchange with impeccable customer service. And I appreciate that. The so called "lead" from the same morning interaction needs to work on her customer service. I wish I'd gotten her name. But I didn't Anyway...Dicks needs to get their front line employees together for a meeting so everyone is on the same page because there is no reason why a customer should have had to make 3 trips from Stow to Cuyahoga Falls just to exchange a Christmas gift that was under $20. Ridiculous. I've spent soooooo much money in this store over the years just to be made to feel like a thief. But thank you Trinity! You were great! Dicks...DO BETTER! read more

Went to find keen winter boots, as Dick's is listed on the keens website as a retailer. Well, the pickins were slim, definitely leaning towards certain brands.... You know which ones, the overpriced kinds that people are willing to pay whatever price is on it just to say they have that brand. No one greeted me, which was unusual. Generally, sales staff are waiting to grab you. Nope. Not at this store. This is a new location around the corner since I don't come here unless it's for a specific purpose. There were at least 12 staff in the store and pretty much standing around as I looked confused. I had to approach someone, rather she wasn't looking where she was going and nearly collided with me. She said nothing until I asked for her help to find women's boots. She only guessed where they would be, didn't call for help, escort me to someone who could, nothing. Then I'm sitting on my phone on their website in the middle of the shoe department for 15 minutes and no one asked me if I needed anything. I sat on the floor in the middle of the main aisle of the store to try on boots to get a sense of the size, another brand in their sales area as you walk in. Again, no one said anything. I'm in the middle of the freaking main thoroughfare of the store, and people passed by me, but no. It was if I was invisible. So Duck's is aptly named. read more

Nice store with fairly nice selection of items. The sales associates are not always the most knowledgeable, and when looking for specialty items you will bounce around from department to department. Nice shoe selection, but the associate help in this department is almost non-existent. read more

I purchased a treadmill from this store and arranged to have it delivered and set up at a future date. I was told that the delivery window would be between 9 and noon on June 28th 2017. After completing the purchase, I texted my wife telling her that the 2 associates I had dealt with were "Idiots" they spent the whole time they were with me trying to tell the other to do the other one's job. At 9:35 AM, on delivery day I received a call informing me that the delivery truck would arrive in 45 minutes to deliver my purchase. I waited until 12:58 PM before calling the delivery service to see what had happened to the delivery truck, which never showed up. I spoke to a gentleman in New Jersey who informed me that rather than ordering a delivery of a treadmill, the order was written to deliver an exercise bike. There is a considerable difference between the weight of a treadmill and that of an exercise bike. The treadmill would require 2 men to deliver it. That being the case, I took a day off work, lost a day's pay, have no treadmill, and have to reschedule the delivery of the equipment the I have yet to receive. This will probably require another day off work. I contacted the store to get their side of the story and to determine what the next step would be. I was connected to an associate (Not a manager) who could not give me any answers of offer satisfaction. Now I am left to wait for the delivery company to contact me to set up another delivery date. I have experienced very little but incompetence, laziness, and childish behavior during this process. Not the service one would expect after spending in excess of $1600.00 read more

Customer service while in the store was fine. I was well taken care of and purchased a treadmill with the heafty price of delivery and assembly, knowing I would rather a knowledgeable person put this giant machine together. We look at his available schedule for a tech to deliver and agree on a date.a week later I don't have my purchase because the outside delivery team rescheduled me for a date I never agreed to. I've called the delivery company 3 time in 2 days with concerns of being delayed another week at best if they can even uphold that commitment. All 3 personnel prosimed me a call back once they reviewed the techs schedule. No one has called me back so I continue the harassment I now find myself having to persu. I paid $125 to put up with this???????? My first treadmill 10 yrs ago to purchased though same store and paid to deliver and assemble the delivery people didn't know how to put it together. I took a chance 10 years later then that weird experience wouldn't repeat. Turns out they just don't have any efficient program to connect the dots between a customer seeing a schedule that appears available and what a tech is willing to work. For a charge that high...u need to do better, a lot better. Return a phone call when your customer is unhappy u rescheduled a delivery date that doesn't work. Or better yet honor the date agreed upon in the store. How about that.......honor an agreement to the satisfaction of the customer.......a lost art of customer service??????? How sad. read more
