I really have very little experience shopping at TJ Maxx but I must say I was impressed after my first visit to this location - the luggage department is on the immediate right when entering the store, I was happy to see they had a pretty good selection of luggage featuring a number of name brands with a wide range of pricing to fit every budget. I was looking for a quality wheeled 20" carry-on to replace a bag that was damaged beyond repair during my travel to the area to the point it wasn't going to make my return trip home. I found the checkout process a little strange with one line to access all the registers but it moved quickly and appears to be efficient - the customer service was exceptional and I left the store feeling I got a great product for a great price and that all one can really ask...

I had a question about the item so I called and spoke to the sales girl. She was very helpful answering my question so I ordered it. Shipping does make the item cost a lot more BUT it is not the fault of PIAS, it's just the cost of shipping which is beyond their control. I ordered the racquet on the 5th and received it fast. I think about 5 days later or maybe 4. Good that they promptly boxed it up and shipped it out to be out here in Southern California. I ordered a racquet from PIAS in North Carolina but and received the same great service and answers to my questions when I called them. I wanted to leave a positive Yelp review for the NC location but I didn't see a Yelp review page for them so I couldn't leave one. There is a local PIAS in Pasadena that I went to years ago and visited again a couple days ago to check out the tennis racquets. They have a nice selection of racquets there but not one I was looking for. I'll keep my eyes open for that location for racquets. I am an avid tennis player and like to try different racquets out of curiosity and PIAS usually has a nice selection to chose from. Actually the one I bought from the NC location was the first racquet I purchased from PIAS and it won't be my last. Well it wasn't my last because I got the one from the Ohio location but what I mean is I'll continue to buy from them as long as they have good selections and reasonable prices. I prefer to find it at the local location as not to pay for shipping but it's okay if I have to pay for shipping if I really want it but my first choice would be local. Actually the first racquet I bought from them was a Wilson Pro Staff 85 because I saw it and wanted it because I had one in the 90s I sold and wish I hadn't, so now because I was able to buy it from PIAS I now have a replacement for a very special racquet I used to own. I may not play matches with it because tech wise it's no match with my opponents but I will keep it for sentimental reasons and sometimes I'll rally with it. The Head Radical I bought from the Ohio location is really nice and I will be playing matches with it. There were a few scratches and scuff marks on it but that is to be expected with a used sports item BUT it was still in good condition and very usable. Great shopping chain.

I don't recommend supporting a business that puts policy ahead of good old fashion customer service.

I went into Famous Footwear in Stow on Thursday, January 13th and tried on boots. The cashier was…read morevery helpful and put the boots on hold for me to pay and pick up on Friday. When I went in to purchase the boots on Friday, a different young lady checked me out. She too was polite and helpful. When I got home and tried on the boots to show my husband, I wasn't sure if they fit right or not. (You see I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet. If a shoe/boot doesn't fit right, it's not good.) So I headed back to Famous Footwear about 2 hours later. I took the boots I had purchased with me so I could compare. When I entered the store, the cashier who had JUST checked me out as well as the one who helped me on Thursday night asked what I was doing. I shared that I wasn't sure if I bought the correct size and needed to compare with a different size boot. They said that they had to keep my purchased boots at the register- store policy. I said I needed them to compare sizes and my receipt was with the boots. THE CASHIER (associate #300423) THAT HAD CHECKED ME OUT JUST TWO HOURS EARLIER, TOOK MY PURCHASED BOOTS FROM ME. YES TOOK THEM RIGHT OUT OF MY HANDS! I was so taken back! I went on to try on the new size boots and walk around the store. Anyone who tries on shoes knows you need to know how two different sizes feel. So after trying to GUESS if I needed a different size by how the new ones felt, I finally went up to the desk where MY BOOTS (I had already paid for them) were and took one to compare with. After 5 minutes of walking around with two sizes on, I decided the ones I bought were probably the right ones. I then went and got my other boot. I walked around with them on and decided I would not be exchanging the boots for a new size. I then took my boots and my receipt and left. Let me clarify a few things, it was MY CHOICE to leave my boots at the register. Since only one other customer came in during the entire time, I would have thought those young ladies had plenty of time to help me, not make purchasing a new pair of boots of very negative experience. I also feel like the pricing is so inconsistent. For example....today I was looking for glassware. They had crystal bowls prices the same as empty tea canisters....
