I had my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe towed here the Sunday after July 4th. My problems began on July 4th,…read morebut traveling out of state over the holiday weekend prohibited me from getting my vehicle looked at sooner. Fortunately my breakdown happened less than 50 miles from home. Despite not having had an appointment, my car was checked-out the first thing the next day, on Monday morning. Awesome. Jay (service advisor) called to tell me how much the shop charges per hour before the mechanic ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle: $115/hr., but I was fine with that. At that point what was I going to do? Find another mechanic? No. I live an hour away from Brian Bemis. Jay called throughout the week to update me on what was going on, which I appreciated. A couple of small repairs (ultimately no major problems) turned into about 6 fixes, so the bill added up quickly. I picked my car up on Friday, July 11th and it's been running just fine since the repairs. I was a little bummed it took 5 business days to fix only minor issues, but this was primarily due to the fact that they don't have all car parts in-stock (at least not mine). There were about half a dozen things to be repaired and my total bill after tax was about $1800. Yes, going to a dealer is expensive, but they also work with my specific car day in and day out; Jay even told me about an ongoing recall (ongoing since 2006!) with the subframe of my car. No other mechanic had ever mentioned this to me, but any non-Hyundai certified mechanic presumably wouldn't have know about this. My car is only worth $2500, so I likely won't continue to dump money into repairs. However, this dealership's body shop is fantastic, top-notch and professional. I have zero complaints. They even vacuumed out and washed my car. My tires are still shiny almost 2 weeks later. A little 'thank-you' for the $1800 worth of business? Probably.

By far the worst experience I've had with any mechanic. I took my Datsun there to get the frame…read morepatched and floorboards repaired. The initial estimate I was given in June was $800-1000 and they said the work could be done in a day once they could fit me in. My car continued to sit at their shop for the next 6 MONTHS while I continued to get excuses about being busy and employees leaving. In November they finally left me a voicemail saying the work was done and I could pick it up any time. Before I had a chance to call back, they reached out a few days later and said they would start charging me a $20 a day storage fee until I picked it up. When I came to pick up my car that weekend, it wouldn't start. I had asked them to fix the starter and although the issue was unrelated it was still very irritating. Almost three weeks later they fixed the worn bushing and I picked up my car. To make matters worse, I also discovered a large scorch mark on my window and later I found they had replaced my working automotive battery with an old marine and RV battery. IN SUMMARY: The work they did on the frame and floorboards seems well done and I realize that jobs like this can turn into more than expected. However, this does not make up for the fact that a $1000 one day estimate turned into $3000 6 month job, new window tint and a new battery. Thoroughly annoyed and will never take my car there again.

My 86 year old Mother took her dream car, a 1973 Super Beetle convertible into RPM Restorations and…read morethey agreed to do a restoration project on that car. The car was supposed to have body work done, some new interior carpet and minor detail work on the inside, a paint job and be mechanically safe to drive on the highway when they were through with it. This restoration was supposed to take 6 months or so to complete. After 15+ months in their possession, we got the car back and the electrical system wasn't wired properly, the engine died EVERY time the car idled after it warmed up, the timing on the engine was incorrectly set, the gas tank was just setting unsecured in the trunk & leaked terribly when it was above 1/2 a tank, the heater to the car was not hooked up, the trunk cable was locked up, the electric choke was not functional, the carburetor was shot, and the front end was so loose that it wasn't safe to take out on the highway. When we objected to the finished product, we were told that they were done working on the car and we needed to pay up the balance or we would be charged storage fees until that balance was paid and the car was gone. Instead of the restoration that we had agreed upon and paid a lot of money for, what we got was some new parts (some of which had been supplied by my Mom) and a very nice $12,000.00 paint job. The car is still in another shop having things fixed that RPM Restorations either didn't fix or things that were improperly repaired/installed by RPM Restorations. Don't waste your hard earned $$$ on this place folks, keep on looking for a reputable shop that's not run by con artists.
