I had my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe towed here the Sunday after July 4th. My problems began on July 4th,…read morebut traveling out of state over the holiday weekend prohibited me from getting my vehicle looked at sooner. Fortunately my breakdown happened less than 50 miles from home. Despite not having had an appointment, my car was checked-out the first thing the next day, on Monday morning. Awesome. Jay (service advisor) called to tell me how much the shop charges per hour before the mechanic ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle: $115/hr., but I was fine with that. At that point what was I going to do? Find another mechanic? No. I live an hour away from Brian Bemis. Jay called throughout the week to update me on what was going on, which I appreciated. A couple of small repairs (ultimately no major problems) turned into about 6 fixes, so the bill added up quickly. I picked my car up on Friday, July 11th and it's been running just fine since the repairs. I was a little bummed it took 5 business days to fix only minor issues, but this was primarily due to the fact that they don't have all car parts in-stock (at least not mine). There were about half a dozen things to be repaired and my total bill after tax was about $1800. Yes, going to a dealer is expensive, but they also work with my specific car day in and day out; Jay even told me about an ongoing recall (ongoing since 2006!) with the subframe of my car. No other mechanic had ever mentioned this to me, but any non-Hyundai certified mechanic presumably wouldn't have know about this. My car is only worth $2500, so I likely won't continue to dump money into repairs. However, this dealership's body shop is fantastic, top-notch and professional. I have zero complaints. They even vacuumed out and washed my car. My tires are still shiny almost 2 weeks later. A little 'thank-you' for the $1800 worth of business? Probably.

We bought a 2016 GLC300 during May 2016. The product specialist, Josiah, was a good listener, very…read morepatient, and was very familiar with the car during the test drive phase. We had contacted no less than 7 Mercedes-Benz dealers to find a car that we liked. Some had a car we were interested in and some offered to order a 2017 or in one case one was able to do a dealer-trade on a 2016. This particular car at Brian Bemis was a service loaner with 777 miles on it. Michelle, the sales manager, was always easy to get ahold of either via email or voice. She even gave her cell number and told us to text or call her on the morning of Memorial Day if we were unable to make it to pick up the car. We showed up for the delivery and it went very smoothly. Our initial product specialist was unable to make it due to a military commitment on Memorial Day, so Terry was the product specialist who we dealt with on delivery day. He was also a pleasure to deal with. The dealership offered the typical "glossy clear coat", "glass protection package", "extended warranty protection", and all of the other high profit margin add-ons, which I declined. They never tried to pressure us into these after I simply stated that we were not interested. Having done our homework on financing, I knew that the lowest rate available anywhere was my Company's credit union. Lee, the finance manager, was able to magically beat that rate by 0.1%. The other nice thing is that we saved a bundle in taxes by purchasing at Brian Bemis over purchasing at many of the other Chicago-area dealers because of Sycamore's lower taxes. Your mileage may vary, but 5 stars in our personal experience with everyone at Brian Bemis. Everything was just real easy.

I bought a 2013 E350 convertible from this dealer ship in September of 2014.The deal was done via…read morethe internet and over the phone. I got a great price. But I was told the day before pick it up, "It has 1800 miles on it" this didn't concern me much. The day I pick the car up. It being a keyless ignition car the first warning the car gave me was "key battery low" I told the sales manager and the sales man this and they told me how easy was to replace the batteries in the key fob. Another salesman tried to say it was because I had both keys with me. I replaced the batteries my self at home. I parked the car and my wife and I went on a trip for a week. When we returned she was excited for her first ride in our new Mercedes. When I started the car it indicated that the car was 21 days passed service A. Thats not the exact wording but it was sold to me needing the first service. I called the dealership and ask about this and was told they would look into this. After two days and two calls to different people I called Mercedes USA. They were very helpful but also informed me the warranty period for this car started in February of 2013. Basically I lost a year and a half of the new car warranty. This is very strange because the service is calculated on time and not mileage. So why did the service indicator wait a year and a half to count 365 days. And also this was sold as a new car with a certificate of origin. I have received no answers to these questions from either the Brian Bemis dealership or Mercedes USA. I fortunately purchased an extended warranty but am not impressed with Mercedes at all. As far as the dealership I don't know if they are dishonest or just incompetent.
