I looked up local towing places, thinking that I needed to have the car towed to the dealership, and found that Empire Towing was the closest. The guy that was on call, was right next door to my Tops job at Lowe's. His name is David. He suggested that I just have him change my tire, rather than take it to the dealership. He said it would be cheaper. He also suggested me just getting a tire from Reid's rather than going to the dealership. He was quick with his response time and with how quickly he put the donut on. He was very helpful with his advice too. I was charged $106.00. If I needed another tow, I would definitely use Empire Towing & Recovery.

They have even fixed minor problems, and refused any sort of payment multiple times. My car battery tested unusually low during my inspection, I was asked to come back to double check as it was extremely cold that day. I stopped by a couple weeks later. They are too booked to do, it. Isabella tells me to bring it back Thursday morning. Bring the car back Thursday morning. Patrick clearly annoyed with the fact I was in the shop. Not sure if I wasn't put on the schedule appropriately, or just having a personal bad day. Car battery gets checked. Patrick has battery tested "it's at 56% you're good to go." I inquire if that is normal for a battery I believed to only be a year old? "Yeah new batteries can test as low as 80% in this weather, so 56-80% is acceptable." This was said in front of a full waiting room. I inquire with friends more mechanically inclined than me. I am informed yes l, weather will affect the test but, that's testing at a 2 year old charge. Patrick couldn't be bothered to look up as to when the battery was replaced for me to confirm the date. Didn't discuss how the warranty would be determined. A 24% margin of error seems pretty high for a determining factor on a warranty. Didn't tell me what determines an under performing battery, and what would qualify for replacement. Nor tell me when the warranty expires, to potentially bring it back in warmer weather to test again, before the warranty is null. Very disappointed, this is not reflective of brand and service I have become accustomed to, glad they have a second location. I will be avoiding the Transit location.

I first went to them when one of the car dealerships said that the computer on my car needed to be replaced.. NOw any other place you would go would say oh yea you need that.. 2 hours after I dropped my car off I received a call from Scruggs telling my car was ready.. Said that I only needed an inspection and a new battery... nothing wrong w/ the car.. then i took my newer car to Scruggs on transit for an oil change.. i get a call back that i needed a lot of work done.. head gasket etc.. something you would think that the dealership would've taken care of...once i received the cost i was ready to cry.. they offered me a 3rd party lender.. YAYYYY!! that was awesome.. the people there are the greatest..Henry, Patrick, Carmine (he did the work on my car), Isabella.. I was treated like one of the family.. i will be going there anytime i need to have something done on the car.. you should go too.... THEY ARE THE BEST!! SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE REST!!

I start calling to get an appointment.first the dealership I bought my car. Three weeks. Second , i won't mention but the guy in on the phone, and I quote, " you're a funny guy"!! Really? That's how you treat your customers? Guess who the funny guy is? And I'll never recommend your place, ever!! The third wielands on transit near Clinton. The voice on the phone was extremely pleasant and said the best she could do was Monday at 12:30 I said ok. She said if you can come in early sometimes we can get you right away. Monday came. I did as she said. Was welcomed by a very pleasant man. Told where to pull my car. I got out and soon , like 5 mins my car was getting inspected. The mechanics were pleasant and didn't try to upsale anything and just did the inspect . It passed and I was out before my 12:30 time. I paid and I would be recommending their business. So if you want to be treated like a moron, go anyplace but Wielands. Because here you're gonna be treated with respect and know that you vehicle is going to be treated with utmost care. So..... 2nd time something went missing from my car during a service call. Also, have issue with…read morethings not put back as they were. Took my car in for oil change, regular maintenance, etc. Tech had to replace the SD card and something that was behind the glove compartment. In the pocket where the SD card is I have/had a couple pens, a little notebook, couple papers, small lotion and lip gloss. In the arm rest I had my phone charger. Attached and kinda glued to the inside of the glove compartment was my trash bag. Tech removed the charger and it ended up on the passenger floor. The trash bag was torn/removed from the glove compartment and left like that. He removed everything from the SD card spot and put everything back except the lip gloss, which is nowhere to be found. So this is the 2nd time an item went missing from my car during a service call. A big gripe: why don't they put things back the way they were after pulling things apart? It's not hard to put the charger back where it was, put the trash bag back on the glove compartment door like it was, and put everything back in the SD card spot. Why do they pull things apart and just leave them like that? Again, it's not the missing lip gloss (which was new and I paid $6 for) which is the main reason for this post - it's the principle. Once more, an item is missing from my car. Thought I would be a customer for life, and indicated that to them, as they treated me great when I bought the vehicle in 2024. Apparently the techs, though, are different. Last year an item got stolen - yes, stolen. It wasn't "misplaced" or "it just disappeared" as they indicated. "Misplaced" means it's somewhere" to be found. And nothing just "disappears" without it being taken. And this year another item isn't able to be found. I'm sure the tech had no use for lip gloss and I'm not saying he took it, but where did it go? Searched the car - every crack and crevice - and it's not there. $6 is a ridiculous price to pay for lip gloss anyway, but such is the economy today, so having to spend another $6 to replace it is just aggravating. Plus, whatever was done to fix that SD card issue wasn't fixed. So now I have to take it back again to hopefully get it fixed. Don't they test this stuff to make sure it's actually fixed???
