When we arrived, we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked and that the wait would be about 45 minutes. There was quite a bit of back-and-forth with the host staff, and while I'm not sure if they were new, their demeanor and handling of the situation did not leave a good first impression. Having worked in restaurants myself, I understand how hectic things can get during busy hours. However, the front-of-house staff seemed disorganized and largely indifferent to the situation. We asked if we could be seated outside, where the majority of the tables appeared to be available, and were told the wait would be about 15 minutes, which was completely reasonable if they needed some time to prepare. Thankfully, our servers went above and beyond and somehow managed to work some magic to get us seated inside. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to help turned what started as a frustrating experience into a much better one. The 2-3 times that there has been an issue with our order, the waitstaff and management went out of their way to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Our group seemed to get a lot of looks from other customers, and at times it felt like we didn't really fit the typical crowd there. At one point a table nearby started loudly saying political phrases and making hand gestures, which made the environment feel uncomfortable. Another table even pointed toward our group and showed something on their phone to each other, which added to the awkward feeling. The restaurant itself was also very crowded with limited space between tables. At one point a child from another table kept bumping into me due to how tight everything was.
