a pulled pork sandwich in a paper bag
Korey H.

I had no issues with quality, how the food was prepared, or the temperature of the food. Even for delivery. My over all personal opinion is that this place just does not have good tasting food, and their meat portions are very small. The "loaded baked potato casserole" tasted like slightly under seasoned mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was decent. The bread was decent. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was greasy and tasted like something you could get from walmart and they just threw on the grill. The brisket was incredibly dry and was so salty that I couldn't taste any smoke flavor at all. The pulled pork was actually very good. Moist, tender, and decent smoke flavor. The Carolina BBQ sauce tasted store bought. The spicy BBQ tasted like store bought with ALOT of hot pepper flakes added (I actually enjoyed this). 2 outta 5. Wouldn't return.

The tracking app - didn't work for us however

We placed an online order while at work, and it was a rough experience. The ordering process online was pretty clear and concise. No troubles there. But it does allow you to track your order and ours never left from the initial stage of "Order in the Cue" I placed the order for us 3 workers and was sent a confirmation to my email at 12:46 pm to be ready by 1:30pm. The person picking up our food got there around 2:00pm and it still wasn't ready. I had been using the tracking link to keep an eye on the order so we didn't go before our 1:30 pick-up, then we just decided someone to go and see what was up. I figured they might be busy. Our orders were all wrong. The person making the pick-up is also our flower delivery driver, so he just grabbed the food and left. He was one of 3 people picking up food. My loaded potato was missing items that were an additional cost, my potato was cold [and they were just putting it together when he got there], one of the meal plates was missing items. We don't work but a few miles away, but it's still irritating to have to stop your work and fix mistakes. I was going to call and just get a refund, but decided to just go and get what wasn't given. The girls working were all nice and were able to give me the items that should have been on the order without a problem. But when you're paying 16$ for a plate of food, I don't want to have to make more trips just to get it sorted out. One of the girls did say that they were slammed around lunchtime, but since our order was being packed up at 2:15 and there wasn't much going on, I think they just didn't read tickets properly. Another issue I had was I specifically asked for NO green onions, I have gallbladder issues and red meats and onions set it off...so I had to pick through my order because.....you guessed it! There were green onions all over the damn thing. I was missing a total of 3 things from my order [all toppings that I paid for afditionally], one plate meal was missing an item and the third plate meal- the Mac n cheese lid wasn't on al the way so it busted all over the bag. This whole experience wasn't worth the nearly 60$ that we paid. But hey, they got our 3 drink orders right! *Please keep in mind each review I make is based on that exact transaction- not previous and/or future opinions.

Let me just say Clarkesville does not need another barbecue place and it doesn't need Dickey's barbecue pit. We came to Dickey's after church at about 11 o'clock. There was no one inside but the place was definitely open however all the food was not ready. When we were told that the ribs were not ready we decided we'd order something else. I ordered a sausage plate and my daughter ordered the chicken plate. I got the onion rings, macaroni and cheese and she got the waffle fries and green beans. The staff looked very unclean and unkept. As best I could tell, there were only three employees there to open up. Since everything was not ready we considered leaving at this point but while waiting we decided to look around. I looked just over the counter where the macaroni and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes were uncovered. The food looked like it had just been taken from refrigerator. Since the food was uncovered, flies were about the food. The pictures will show what we found. The majority if not all most all but about three of the barbecue condiments had not been filled. The soft serve ice cream had yet to be started. Finally there was no ice in the ice machine. As a result of what we found we decided we take the food home rather than eating in. We are never going back I could tell you more but U get the point.

Why are so many menu options unavailable lol

I looked up the Clarksville location to order online and many of the menu items are marked "unavailable".

Do not get the brisket. Tough and dry. They open at 11 clearly not prepared for the people to show up at 11. Tables not out. Buns are cold and stale. The pork is def the better meat. They need to try harder I won't be back. BBQ places are not scarce

My son wanted some bbq and I suggested Dickey's. The staff was super helpful and really sweet. I had to give my review before I even left the parking.

Stopping here for supper, first there were the dark bathrooms that wouldn't light. Along with that electrical issue, an ear-splitting and head jarring smoke or other alarm went off every few minutes for about 15 minutes. Order taking was interrupted often when the counter employee shifted to incoming phone calls. That employee didn't know pulled chicken portion sizes in ounces and approximated with his hands. All of this created a dubious dining experience before we even finished ordering! This spot offers a variety of chicken recipes: roasted, BBQ, Caribbean, pulled, fried, and more. Sides includes Southern standards like mac and cheese, yellow rice, greens, coleslaw, and others. The pulled (shredded) chicken was overly seasoned with black pepper. Roasted chicken was a bit dry. The BBQ chicken laden with sweet sauce was the best of the chicken choices. Creamy coleslaw was 'meh' and lacked flavor. Rice, too, was just okay. Northern beans were nicely seasoned and well cooked. Pita triangles seemed an odd accompaniment since no sauce or dip was provided and they were too small to make sandwiches. Overall, the restaurant seemed understaffed, which could account for the messy tables and dirty floor.

The place has a casual, welcoming vibe -- clean, well‐lit, with a layout that works for both dine‐in and takeout. What I liked: 1. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful without being overly greasy. We got the Golden Original and Soy Garlic. The Golden Original has a kick to it but nice flavor. The Soy Garlic was a bit garlicky you can taste the powdered garlic. Nice balance of sweet, savory and salty. 2. The sides were fresh and well‐seasoned -- the pickled radish had a nice balance of tang and sweetness. 3. Staff were friendly and he was on his phone most of the time wasn't attentive at all. What could improve- the staff at the counter. There was a guy waiting on his food his food came out and was ready but the staff just stood there on his phone and didn't check. Good thing the guy was cool and didn't complain. Final thoughts If you're in the area and craving good fried chicken with a laid‐back feel, this is a solid pick. It may not be perfect, but it delivers. I'd go back -- and next time I'll try one of the spicier options.

At that time, the restaurant was located at the far end of the Kroger mall. The food was good--authentic Korean flavors I've enjoyed all my life. After they relocated to a freestanding building a few hundred feet away, my colleagues and I were excited to return. During the transition period, we had been visiting other Korean restaurants because the previous location had closed and the new one had not yet opened. When the new building finally opened, I was initially impressed by the interior décor and dining setup. Unfortunately, the quality of the food had declined significantly. During a lunch visit, a few colleagues and I ordered the Spicy Galbi Stew - SPICY being the key word. When the dish arrived, the stew was unusually dark, and we couldn't identify anything in it until we tasted it. The first impression was disappointing: it was extremely sweet with absolutely zero spiciness. It tasted like bland meatloaf mixed with an excessive amount of sugar, which explained the dark, caramelized color. After a few bites, none of us could continue eating. When paying the bill, I jokingly told the server they should rename the dish "Sweet, Sweeter, Overly Sweet Galbi Stew." Unfortunately, the worst experience came a few days later. Again during lunch, several coworkers and I ordered 되지국밥dwaeji-gukbap - a beloved Korean staple and comfort food. When the bowls arrived, the dish looked nothing like traditional gukbap. The broth was covered in pepper oil, heavily dusted with black pepper, and overwhelmingly salty, as if an entire jar of salt had been poured in. After one or two bites, we all looked at each other in disbelief. We called the server over to express our concerns. While speaking with the server, I glanced toward the open kitchen and noticed that none of the cooks were Korean. At that moment, it became clear why the flavors were so far from authentic. Anyone can cook, but mastering Korean cuisine - especially soul food, requires understanding, experience, and proper guidance. At the very least, there should be one Korean chef to train and guide the kitchen staff. That day became our last visit. A few weeks later, we returned only because we were invited by executives from another company for a BBQ dinner. We chose the full-choice BBQ set. The meats were bland, and the grill was so hot that everything burned quickly, forcing us to swap grills repeatedly just to keep the food edible. I've noticed many non-Korean diners praising this restaurant, but the dishes being served are not an accurate representation of Korean cuisine.
