Avoid. They act earnestly to get your business but if anything is needed beyond taking your money,…read morethey just refuse to contact you. Will not return a call or email to correct anything. Shameful. Glad I found out early and not when there was an urgent need.

I didn't plan on being left stranded on fixing our house for the holidays by State Farm but that is…read morewhere I currently find myself. I've had State Farm insurance since I moved to Georgia in 2011 and have always paid my premiums. Recently I have had two house incidents with plumbing that have left us with major repairs needed in 3 rooms in our house. The first incident was a tub cracked that flooded down into the downstairs bathroom. The claims person from state farm, Anthony Veilleux, said I would be able to get the tub ripped out, the floor ripped out, the walls repaired, the ceiling and the insulation repaired downstairs, and everything new put it for $2808.67 (minus my deductible State Farm gave me a check for $1808.67. I had just started the process of getting quotes when the next day something else happened. The day I got the check the cast iron drain line running from the upstairs bathroom ruptured, flooding the basement. This was discovered late last Wednesday night and Streamline Plumbing & Electric, Inc. came out and were super courteous and helpful at finding the leak at 8pm in the evening. I started a new claim with State Farm and had Servepro come out to handle the drying out process and water damage. Servepro were extremely professional. The pipe was fixed on Friday and by Sunday we had it dried out downstairs. Now the new claims agent, Josh Mershon, showed up this morning and looked at the flooring missining downstairs, the walls missing downstairs (if you look at the pictures the downstairs bathroom is the one with the ceiling missing, the playroom is missing most of the carpet and parts of the wall, and the mainfloor bathroom has the tub ripped out). Now I need to fix 2 bathrooms and a playroom and the new estimate that was just handed to me by Josh (minus the deductible again because you get to pay that every time is for $1525.56.) So I have $3334.23 to try to fix 3 rooms. I've already had quotes and this doesn't even come close. So now its two weeks to the holidays, two young children, and I am having to deal with this. A similar thing happened last year but I was trying to chalk it up to a bad adjuster because we had large limbs fall on the roof which knocked off quite a few shingles and the adjuster said they would give a $1000 ($2000 minus the $1000 deductible) towards the fix only to change the amount and offer nothing a week later. It seems the problem is more instutional than I thought. If State Farm does something to fix this situation I will let you know otherwise don't choose State Farm for your insurance provider because they will definitely leave you stranded.
