I was looking to buy a gen 2 pencil for my I pad pro and went into the Mac centre Norwood to see if…read morethey had any in stock. There were two staff working one of which had a laptop running through an update with the client, and was mostly messing about with a screen saver on an iPhone. I had waited 15 minutes and tried to ask if they had any pencils, and was shut down and told that he was busy and should wait my turn. Really disappointed if he had just said yes we have some in stock but I needed to wait that would have been fine, but to be shut me down before I could ask was disappointing and rude. I eventually left and ended up buying from Officeworks. Will never go back to that shop again.

I've long been a PC person, and my experiences with operating a Mac frustrated the shit out of me. But for a long time I'd been hearing of Mac's stellar customer support, and I needed to see it to believe it. The customer service provided by the people at the Mac Centre alone has swayed me in the direction of Apple products. I'm sure anyone with a PC that has been prompted to send an error report to Microsoft has long given up on any prospect of getting decent solutions. Mac, on the other hand, really cares about their customers (despite screwing them over with yearly releases of updated products and OSs); and this becomes even more evident when you're receiving help face-to-face. My girlfriend was having issues updating her iPod and failed to find any solution online. We decided to head into the Mac Centre, and shortly after explaining the problem to the people behind the desk, they told her to leave the iPod with them and return in 15 minutes. When we returned to the store, the problem had been solved and the iPod was as good as new. They didn't request any sort of payment, and were extremely polite and helpful. This is the kind of customer support that other electronics companies should be taking lessons from!

The selection of products is consistently good, and the staff are friendly. My only concern is that the staff seem a bit too keen to sell products quickly. Other than that, everything meets the expectations of a large electrical store.

I am beyond disgusted with Harvey Norman's appalling service. After paying a premium for a product,…read moreI received a faulty item and was met with nothing but incompetence and disrespect. I called their team five times, provided every document and photo they demanded, yet got zero communication, transparency, or resolution. To make matters worse, I had to visit the store myself only to learn that their warehouse knew the inventory was defective before it was even shipped to me! They had already ordered replacement parts from China yet still sent me a broken product. This isn't just negligence--it's a shameful betrayal of customer trust. Harvey Norman's complete disregard for accountability is infuriating. Their so-called "service" is a masterclass in frustration and inconvenience. I'm escalating this to senior management and consumer affairs media because no one should endure this kind of treatment after spending their hard-earned money. Avoid this company at all costs--unless you enjoy being ripped off. "Harvey Norman"? More like "Robbery Normal."

Okay, I may be a bit dramatic about this but I am just sick and tired of whoever I ask, no-one knows how to fix my cracked mobile screen. This is simply what happened: 1. While running, I dropped my phone and upon impact with the ground, cracked the screen. 2. Luckily, I had a friend that knew you so I took it in for repair. 3. You said it Android mobiles were too complicated and you weren't able to do anything for me. 4. You said you don't know which screen to pick to replace this screen. 5. I was told to try my original phone shop, as they would know how to repair it better than you. Better to be honest, than to promote your own business, right? 6. Vodafone was more than happy to repair my phone screen for AUS $250 upfront. Are you joking?! Gimme my phone back. I'll live with the cracked screen for the next 12 months. Thumbs down.

I was pretty disappointed, annoyed and worried that I'd have to deal with a dodgy phone repairer. The kind who would take weeks to get my phone back to me citing excuses like 'the parts haven't come in yet' when I know the truth is 'I've been watching cat videos on youtube for the past two weeks and haven't got around to fixing your pathetic phone'. Luckily a friend put me on to the folks at this fast and effective repairer, Psytech. They're based out of a second storey suite on Hindley Street, and the place looks a little odd. There's a waiting room with MC Escher paintings on the wall and a bloke who is presumably a massive fan of Doctor Who behind the desk. However, they're kind and patient about explaining what needs to be done to fix your phone. They gave me a free quote, my phone came back within a week, and even though electronic repairs can be notoriously expensive, I didn't feel like they were pulling my fillings to line their pockets. All in all, a great little business better than the big boys.
