This isn't one of the warehouse stores, so it's not as huge as the one down in Mile End, for example, but it does have a great range and huge variety. While the price of pots is rather steep, the price of seedlings is fabulous, and the choices for plant care are almost endless. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, and quick to help out with your needs. Great store.

The rot started when it was bought by Woolworths (they have since sold it on). Now they are staffed by retail hacks who are not interested in helping, don't really know the stock. There is something about the stores I now find frustrating, and the Ingle Farm one is no exception. Walk in and the staff run like you have ebola, only to emerge when they hear the credit card sliding from your wallet, and the store doesn't seem the carry the full range of anything. If you do manage to buy anything there it is very expensive. You want Uncle Jamie's advice? Buy over the Internet. There are now plenty of Aussie companies offering the same stock at a better price online. I only go there now if I am desperate to get something on the same day.

No staff offered service even when I went to counter and waited - "we'll be with you in a moment", "can I help you" = a couple of phrases worth teaching your staff. There are far to many other places I can get the same thing from to bother standing around waiting for sub par service
