My check engine light came on which is what brought me to the dealership this morning. Fortunately my truck is still under warranty so I won't have to pay anything to get the issue resolved. The staff has been very friendly and attentive. Leonard initially helped me and made sure I was taken care of in a timely manner. My vehicle will need to stay here for a few hours so I will be utilizing the free shuttle the dealership provides to take me home. So far this has been a good experience. The waiting area is very nice with a tv, reading material and free coffee available while you wait. I've heard good and bad things about this dealership but so far my experience with them has been great from the day I bought the vehicle 2 years ago up until now. A Frustrating Witness to Broken Promises, Questionable Excuses, and Zero Customer Care I went with a friend to Dick Poe Dodge, and watching how they treated a "loyal customer" was completely eye-opening--and not in a good way. My friend brought in their 2019 Dodge Challenger--a vehicle in pristine condition with only 22,000 miles--for a routine oil change, an emissions test, and to check an AC issue that started right after the battery died. The car initially failed emissions (resolved after driving it 50 miles), but when my friend asked if the AC was good to go, the service advisor assured us everything was fine. We barely made it off the lot before realizing the AC was blowing hot air. When my friend called back, the advisor admitted "that was weird" and told us to bring it back. On the second visit, they claimed the AC evaporator was leaking. However, the advisor provided zero documentation or diagnostic paperwork to prove it--we were expected to just take his word for it. When I asked how an evaporator fails on a pristine 22k-mile car, his excuse was simply that the car "wasn't driven enough." To top it off, my friend was initially quoted $3,000, with promises that they would seek assistance to get the price down or practically eliminate it. The absolute best Dodge offered was $1,800. Meanwhile, dealership staff made multiple attempts to buy the car off my friend instead of genuinely helping fix the issue. It's easy for a dealership to call someone a "loyal customer," but throwing that loyalty out the window--and offering paperless diagnoses and absurd excuses--says a lot. We have been calling for four days now to try to get a hold of someone in service. We've been asked to speak to a supervisor and no one has called us back. Very unlikely that we will buy another vehicle from here again. Some of the vehicles on the lot are way over, priced with hugemark ups. Why buy another vehicle from RAM if the service is very slow? The next vehicle we buy will have to be from a place that has exceptional service. It's all going to be based on the type of service that people say they get from the dealer. read more

Horrible customer service! First few times were ok. They did the basic and I was out of there (brand new car didn't need much). Then I asked to get a quote for new tires after my oil change. They tell me I'm going to get an email because it's all digital now (never got anything). I called yesterday and asked how late I'd be able to bring my car in for an oil change (I made sure I was talking to someone from the service department). She tells me 4:30 pm. I get there at exactly 3:35 pm for some guy to tell me their deadline is 3:30 pm. I communicate the details of my phone call with him so he goes to "ask for permission" and then told me they won't take my car. I called after leaving to ask a manager why there is false information spread on the phone and 0 exeptions for their mistake. He said if I'm willing to wait extra they'd take me in. If only they coukd stop wasting people's time and tell them that before shutting the door on them for a mistake they're the ones that made, that "business" would have a lot of potential, but this is just the perfect definition for the word "unprofessional". I stopped having my truck serviced there because of the numerous issues experienced there with service staff i the part. Unfortunately my key fob went bad and called them to find out what I needed to do since it was covered under warranty. Spoke with one service person, transferred to a second service agent and then transferred to a third. Each time I had to repeat the issue. Third agent said I needed to bring truck in, leave it and they would write it up and check if parts in stock. Asking them if they could check and was told no because they had no access. Transferred to parts but no one answered. Called back again and spoke with an agent who checked and informed me all parts staff were out for breakfast. Looks like i'm taking my vehicle to another dealer where I know they value service after the sale. Recommendation: go somewhere else for service and car/truck sales. read more

Took my minivan in two years ago, yeah two years ago. It was under warranty (lifetime). Dick Poe dodge said that I needed a new engine. At the time it had 148,000 miles on it. They said they did a compression check and I had 3 bad cylinders. We went back and forth for a year and half. They refused to fix or replace the engine unless I canceled the remaining warranty. After having my minivan for a year and a half, I had to have it towed. I got a second opinion from another shop. Turns out there never was an engine problem, it was all electrical. Now they refuse to pay for the repairs after offering $9100 to replace the engine that didn't need to be replaced after all, even though all the repairs came to a lot less than $9100. Stay away from Dick Poe Dodge. They lied to me. I will never by another Dodge again. Buyer beware. Don't trust them or their warranties. read more

Roger is the worst service advisor ever. Let's start there! I have tried calling twice and this dude doesn't ever call back like they claim he will; nor does he reply to the text message system. I was forced to drive 40 minutes just to get an answer on my vehicle that they have now had for 5 days. I had my vehicle oil changed, inspection completed, and a complete transmission service due to being at 125k miles at Poe Dodge with Roger as my advisor. That was roughly 3 weeks ago. That vehicle has since then been driven almost NONE as it's a 2nd vehicle for road trips only. Anyways, all of a sudden -- it springs an oil leak, so I take it back in thinking they would fix what they clearly did wrong.... how naive of me? Instead, now I should do $2,000++ in repairs on a vehicle that prior to bringing it in wasn't leaking whatsoever. Avoid this scam of a dealership at all costs. read more

I visited this location on airway to attempt to trade in my vehicle the salesman Brandon was fantastic. as soon as they tried to test drive my vehicle the man who was appraising my vehicle put my vehicle in reverse and floored it with the parking brake on which made my car jolt in the worst manner possible, with no regard to the transmission. I rushed outside to tell the salesman to get me someone else to appraise my vehicle. The man that was appraising my vehicle sped into back into the parking spot slammed the brakes and rushed out of the car SLAMMING the door. Making some bad comments towards me. Customer service was horrendous from the man appraising my vehicle. I wouldn't let that man near my car with the way he acted. He was purely trying to take my car in a joyride knowing the car was modified, and turned into an embarrassed little man when I told him to remove himself from my car. Disguising! If there is one thing you _can_ expect is to be given a run around treatment. It's their goal to charge you an extra 100 instead of actually working and fixing the issue. When the customer comes in with an issue the root cause needs to be determined and fixed! Not just the superficial details. For me they never bothered to even look at that but rather went straight to charge/perform unnecessary work so that they could charge me $$. Needless to say the issue wasn't corrected and I don't even expect a refund. That's three times driving across ELP and 100+$ that didn't have to spend; just to have some greasy manager point a work order to me and try and use verbal tricks to get out of taking the responsibility for not having done the basics of troubleshooting and using amount of sense that small children have. read more

Walked in and asked specifically for a V8 4x4 Assuming this was an honest dealership i assumed they'd have show me what i asked for I assumed wrong.... now I'm stuck with a car payment paying for a truck i don't want When i went back and brought it up. I was told the salesman probably just assumed you knew I was then told to trade in the truck i just paid 31500 5 days ago for the trade in value of 26k .. i almost lost it They then said, just pay it for a year and trade it in "Sometimes you have to just pay for something you don't want" No no i don't if i was showed exactly what i asked for... I know i should have checked to see if it was a V6 or V8 myself. And I'll take my responsibility on that. But an honest dealership would at least show you what you asked for... or at least disclosed that it wasn't a V8 I feel wronged.. lesson learned though... don't trust dick Poe dodge.. make sure you are getting what you asked for read more

My experience with Dick Poe started a year ago when I wanted to trade in my 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. I just wanted to trade it in real quick and go on about my business. I stood outside with two salesmen, one was on the phone and the other who didn't bother talking to me but I approached him because I dealt with him from Viva Chevrolet, he sold me a car. He said he was going to call after a day but didn't so I bought a new truck from another dealership. A year past and I went to this dealership because it's only 10 minutes away for a warranty repair. I was told by the Service Advisor that they were going to order a part for my truck and it only should take 3-5 days, I take it business days. 10 business days later, I called and asked for the Service Advisor. Phone representative said he wasn't around so she'll leave a message. A day later nothing happened, so I went to the dealership to ask if the part came in. Low and behold, he said the part was cancelled because there are certain number of parts ordered (for warranty purposes) and they had to cancel mine, they're only allowed ONE per month. I wasn't notified when it was cancelled, I wouldn't have known. The Service Advisor said he's going to put on his reminder to order it, I doubt it. I will update this review once he notifies me. He was up to date with me with text messages for a day about Stellantis might send a survey, it didn't happened either. I wish they did. read more

My recent experience at Dick Poe Dodge Ram should be made a case study in "CUSTOMER SERVICE and INEPTNESS." My truck set at Dick Poe Dodge Ram for 2 months, Oct 22 - Dec 19, waiting on a brake line part coming from Denver (Mopar), they say. First, the service advisor ran me in circles trying to secure a loaner vehicle. I 'm using a car rental, Uber, ect.. He called me at work to come and pick up the loaner. When I arrived, he told me the loaner was just given to another customer. What! Now I have to call Uber to transport me home. Days later I received the loaner. Next, the service advisor tried to upsell me on parts and services that I didn't need ($789) but we settled on ($256). Next, I called every week to check on my truck. Part still haven't arrived. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. On Saturday Dec 17, I called the service advisor and he was startled, as though saying "Oh shit I forgot about your truck. Let me call the Parts Mgr. I'll call you back." On Monday Dec 19, the service advisor called and said my truck was ready. When the porter drove my truck around front, he stated "Go easy on us in the survey!" $2,000 later! Can't make this stuff up Folks! I rate this service a 1* for the loaner car alone. Never again will I use this dealership. I'll drive to Las Cruces, NM for all my truck service needs. read more

I had two of my wheels separated from my Ram 3500 as I was driving on the highway. The wheels separated due to a RECALL on the wheel studs. I had my truck towed to their location. When I had my truck dropped off I was told I would get a phone call in 15 minutes about my truck. I called them 5 hours later and they told me they don't have any information on what they going to do to the truck and will have to call tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and and they quote me a price and then tell me that RAM is going to foot the bill because the wheel studs are on recall. Two days later they call me saying my truck is Rady to be picked up. I pick up my truck and they made me pay $700 over the price they told me even though it was recall work. When asked how to get reimbursed for the recalled work, I was told to call Ram and basically figure it out myself. As long as they got their money, they don't care about their customers. When asked if they replaced the other wheel studs, I was told to bring the truck back if the other wheels fall off... despite there being a recall on the studs. Horrible customer service and charging way more than what they told me, even after the work was complete will ensure I never work with Dick Poe dealerships again. read more

Dropped off my truck and again told the service rep here for oil and fuel filter change and car wash. The rep told me it would be at least 2 hours with a wash. Was called at 1100 to let me know it was ready. Arrived to pick up but no wash. Asked the service advisor and at first he was surprised it was not washed. Then took it around and came back and told me usually they do not wash customers vehicles. I told him it was an option on the website. Then he said it was due to covid. Then told me it would be another 1.5 hour wait. Will drive as far as I need to for my next service. read more

I purchased my pre owned 2016 Charger RT from this dealership! Shortly after i purchased the vehicle i started to notice my brakes would squeak when i had been driving for at least 20 minutes (until they were warmed up). They did not squeak at high speeds but rather moving 5mph to a stop sign or even in a parking lot. I called up my awesome salesman and he said to bring it it in first thing in the morning and he ensured me he would have the service department look at it! Given i had recently purchased the vehicle i was a little angry because i was under the impression they did not put new brake pads on the vehicle when it had its initial services done before handing me the keys. When i went to pick up my vehicle up, the SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE told me my brake pads were brand new and the noise was simply caused from brake dust build up. So i took his word for it because as i left i no longer heard the noise, (because the car hadn't been running long). Well, 2-3 months had passed and i noticed the brakes began to make the sound but worse! So i took my vehicle to another shop that my friend referred me to to let them take a look at it. Turns out my rotors were slightly warped and have heat spots, which are very visible! In addition to said conditions it was also apparent that the rotors had been turned and re-surfaced in the past due to the thinness of the rotor. Upset i took my car back to the service department and asked why they didn't put new rotors on and also to get my vehicle serviced for its 35K services. The service tech told me he could resurface them and do a brake tune up service but i would have to pay for it!!! That is ridiculous. Irritated I paid for the services i only intended on getting and told my salesman what had actually happened... which essentially led to me just leaving the dealership after receiving the bad news! I love the hospitality of the salesmen here but I'm furious that the SERVICE DEPARTMENT lied to me and will not TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for their claims! read more

A manager even came by to say hello and to make sure that we were being taken care of. Upon leaving, we had another manager step in to thank us for doing business with them as well. The rep. forgot to tell the employee driving the shuttle I requested a ride, I waited almost 2 hours for a shuttle ride home. The rep. Never told me my vehicle was out of warranty and wanted to charge me north of 200 dollars for an oil change and diagnostic which I believe was still part of my warranty. They almost kept my car the entire day when I specifically requested my car back before the end of the work day. No manager was aware of their employees horrible work ethic. Everything here is pretty decent. Second time I've been to this location. One star better than the other Dick Poe Service location. Nothing bad I can really say about this place except maybe some more comfortable chairs, so I can snooze in the waiting room easier. Also, coffee. I didn't see any, but there should be some for when I wake up after my snooze. I mean, if I'm paying about $70 for an oil change, a man expects some amenities. Would visit again. read more

Esteban is awesome. I'm new to El Paso and we needed a 2nd car ASAP. I looked around and out of all places this dealership seemed like their prices were lowest. So I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I went because my husband is an owner of a Jeep Compass for an awesome price. They even lowered the price more after the negotiated priced so we could get the loan! They got the parts fast and made everything right. They did not charge me for over looking the breaks before I bought it. They sold me a void extended warranty. I bought a car from them June 2017 and 4 months later the engine went out with no prior warning. All of a sudden their customer service declined. After over a month of paying for rental cars out of pocket they gave me a bogus diagnosis because they don't know much about boxer engines and they handed me a parts invoice for everything under the hood. Turns out when I took my car across the street to Subaru El Paso, the extended warranty adjustor came by and said that they would not cover the repair due to the aftermarket intake, which was on the car at the time of purchase. Why would they sell me a warranty that was automatically no good? I wouldn't have bought this car if they wouldn't have sold me the bad warranty and it would have saved me $10,000 for a complete engine rebuild and various repair costs. read more

I took in my dodge a year earlier to have some issues taking care of. One was the window side molding is warped and the a/c cycles off and on. When I left I was in a hurry since I am active duty military. They supposedly took care of the problem and did not , the molding was still warped and a/c with the same problem. I returned about a year later since I was deployed and left my vehicle. I left it all day and when I returned to pick it up nothing was repaired and informed my warranty was expired by 15 days. I informed them I had the same problem and it was never repaired and was told to speak to a manager. Nothing was repaired. I own 8 dodge vehicles and I will never purchase mine from any El Paso Dodge dealer , nothing but the worst experience from them. I am about to purchase a new dodge power wagon from Orange County dodge and they have given me nothing but the best experience out of Fontana Ca. Seriously, buy your vehicle anywhere but here. My husband went in to buy our next truck and the salesmen told him it came with two keys. Then when he went to leave after signing all the paperwork, they said it only had one. After arguing with the man, they gave him a second key. They had to drop the truck off the next day since the paperwork had to be emailed to me to sign before he could take it. (I'm in Tucson, AZ). So they had a little over 24 hours to clean the truck and deliver it and they couldn't even be bothered to get all the sticker glue off of the windshield where the pricing information was stuck. There was dust all over the dashboard and on the inside of the doors. I would think if I was paying 35,000 dollars for a truck, the least they could do would be to detail it for me. So then, 7.5 weeks later, SIX DAYS BEFORE THE TEMP PLATE EXPIRES, the tags/title department hasn't even sent off our paperwork to the DMV in Tucson, AZ. Never in all my car buying experience have I ever drove off in a car they didn't wash and detail for me as a courtesy, or did it take so long to receive my license plate that I had to call and end up needing an extension on my temporary plate.
