Once again Yelp has never lead me in the wrong direction. Honestly can't say enough about this place. Richard and Tom were both friendly, nice, honest, and a pleasure dealing with. They took the time to figure out why my air conditioning wasn't working and fixed the issue the dealership cut corners on. This WILL be my go to place from now on! Except with any tire issues, only b/c their machine can't accommodate 22" tires. Both Tom and Rich kept me posted on their findings with a few phone calls which I appreciated. It does remind me of a mom and pop shop with their customer service. I would go out of my way to make my way back here with any future issues and maintenance of my vehicle. I highly recommend this shop. I am new in town and my car started to run louder than usual. They were very nice when I described it just didn't sound right. They got me in the day after I called, found the problem, found the part, and repaired it the next day. As a woman I felt they respected me and did not try to take advantage. I owe a huge thanks to Tom! I had my tire pressure light went on while out shopping. I happened to pass Dick Carroll's on my way home. I stopped and asked Tom to check my tires out. He looked at all 4. He found a huge screw in one of my tires. But he checked to see if they were still under warranty. Upon finding the manufacturer's dates my tires were not in fact new. 1 was 3 years old and the other 3 were 2 years old. I bought them new 12/12/2017! We have always felt good about the service and cleanliness of Dick Carroll's in Dunedin. They are local and generously support local organizations, which is what community does. When our car battery died, I called to see about a replacement. After a quick look, they determined it was under warranty. I then brought in the car and thought I'd need to pay for some part of the replacement, but was told I owed nothing. In fact, when I called initially, the service technician had been mistaken about the date, and the warranty had run out. I was told that, due to our loyal business, there would be no charge. I don't know of any franchise that can match the personal touch of this locally owned and operated company. The personnel are always friendly and the waiting room clean. My battery was replaced in less than an hour, not even enough time for me to finish the tv show that started when I arrived. :-) M. Belote read more
