Soccer is the first place I go for soccer gear and Scott is a pleasure to deal with. The only reason I can't leave a five star review is there are not always a large numbers of options in some categories.

As a soccer player, it's nice to have a place that actually focuses on our sport. With so few…read morespecialty soccer shops in Pittsburgh, parents and players are often forced to go to places like Dick's Sporting Good or Dunham's for their gear. While those stores are perfectly fine, they just don't carry an inventory that caters to players who are past the my-parents-are-making-me-play phase of their sporting years. That's where Soccer Source comes in. They carry a nice assortment of soccer shoes in every price range. While Dick's and Dunham's stop at the mid-level shoes, Soccer Source keeps going, offering the high-end cleats that some players demand. If they don't have what you want, they'll order anything for you that you need. Their pricing is fair, as well, keeping pace with most of the online shops, and any small premium you may pay is often worth it for the convenience of being able to get your gear that day and support a local business. If you're a fan of the game and support a professional team (especially the bigger teams in Europe), you'll likely find your team's replica jerseys and gear, as they typically have a decent stock of kits. Plus, you can usually find decent deals on gear that's leftover from previous seasons. For example, I recently found an AC Milan jersey that I had been looking for on eBay from the 2010/2011 season, as I'm not a fan of this year's jersey, and I was looking to replace my older Milan jerseys that were too large for me now. Much to my enjoyment, Soccer Source happened to have one in stock in my size (medium)! At 10% off, it ended up being a great find, and saved me a ton compared to what people wanted online for an out-of-stock jersey. While I don't have personal experience in dealing with their outfitting/screenprinting services, I know that my club team has ordered our jerseys for each team and had them printed up at Soccer Source, and from what I've heard from our captains, their crew at the store is really helpful and has reasonable pricing for outfitting your club. So if you're looking for the latest high quality gear (as well as the more affordable youth gear), team outfitting, replica jerseys, and any other soccer needs, support your local small businesses and check out Soccer Source. It's a little out of the way for me since I live downtown, but it's almost always worth the trip! One thing to note. They need a new web site with their correct hours and inventory. There was a weekend day when we looked at the site and it said the store was open until 6, but when we got there at 5:10, the store was closed. Their hours were actually only open until 5. Since the inventory isn't up-to-date on their site, it's not a good barometer of what's in stock, either. Your best bet is to call if there's a specific item that you're searching for. Hopefully, they update their site some day.

Awful customer service, rude and poorly managed. Never again…read more Will go to the one in Ross or order online.

I had such a pleasant experience at this store, that I had to review it…read more I generally like Gap for cheap basics. I don't care for their sportswear nor their fancier dresses--I don't think most of it is high enough quality to be appropriate for corporate or even business causal workplaces. But for t-shirts, button-downs, shorts, jeans, leggings, and other such items for playtime or to wear at my more causal workplace, it's perfect. I pretty much bought a new summer wardrobe for under $100 by going in on a days where most items were 40% and by using a TON of saved up rewards cards that I get monthly as a cardholder. Plus Tuesdays offer an extra 10% off for cardholders. Let's just say that I saved more than I spent. What stuck out to me was that the girl--I believe her name was Georgette--who rang me up went out of her way to make sure that I got the best deal possible with all of my promotions that I could use. It took three times as long to ring up me, but she was very patient and friendly during the process. I actually filled out the store survey when I got home because I was so pleased! Bonus, you can now opt to save a tree and get emailed receipts. This will also put you on the mailing list to let you know when the sales are so if you're thrifty like I am, you can save a ton.
