Today, I had an old silver filling (left over from a hack childhood dentist) replaced. I didn't feel a thing and never have with Dr. Merkel. He's: - the consummate professional - he's thoughtful about his patients - his work is meticulous - he's a nice guy and he hires great staff including an outstanding hygienist who shares the same traits as Dr. Merkel I had to go see an oral surgeon once who commented on the incredibly work done on a gold crown that Dr. Merkel did. It completely destroyed my upper bone in my mouth and my front teeth. After a grueling year of surgeries and bone grafts, Dr. Lisa Powell as well as our close collaborator the oral surgeon, Dr. Alena Fear, restored my teeth and mouth along with a big part of my self-confidence.
