They always go an extra step to make sure you're comfortable and they've never tried to sell me on a procedure that I didn't need. The facility is out dated compared to current peers, I suggest you look in to the big chain facilities as they will get the job done quicker and cheaper, and will be friendly. This is the worst dental office I have ever been in. They built me out of over $1,000 and refuse…read moreto pay it back. My insurance company has called them multiple times but they just refuse to act on it. They even billed me for a $200 procedure that I never had done. I turn this into Medicare and Medicare responded back. They awarded me the $200 plus interest which came up to about 269. They also build me $60 for two periodontal cleanings. My insurance pays for this but they build me for this also. I also gave them over $1,000 for some other dental work. A large part of this I have never seen again. When I tried to call and get things straightened out they just hung up in my ear. They will not talk to me or give me any resolution to this dilemma. Do not waste your money here because the work is shoddy at best. I had my two front teeth ground and they came back yellow. I do not have yellow teeth and it took a while for them to write this imperfection. I am just so done with all this wasteful spending! The front staff can be quite rude. I don't have to be talked to like this and degraded. All they want to do is take advantage of me. They will bill you for procedures that you never had done. Believe me I know I have been there and they have a whole lot of my money to show for it. if Medicare excited against me and sent a letter ordering them to pay me my money and they still have not paid it it has been now probably around 2 years that I've been waging this war with this avenue dental If I could give it a negative 10 I would. They're doing a whole lot of procedures that are not necessary but they make you believe that they are. Do not buy into this racket that they are running. Have an appointment? I did indeed ponder not fixing it, even thinking of an elaborate back story involving me winning in a fight against some tough bikers, but eventually settled on getting it fixed. The office is lovely and all the staff are warm and friendly. I was amazed of not only how quickly my chip tooth was fixed, but I had no discomfort in the process. My tooth looks like I never even chipped it! Dr. Katranji is very nice, knows her stuff, and you almost feel like she has been treating you for years the first time you meet her. Kinda geeked to go back, which for me is saying something.

I've had a few fillings chip, not be filed correctly, or otherwise need secondary work done to them. I no longer felt welcome and consistently received an attitude from both Dr. Florkowski and the reception staff. It seems the sooner you're out of here, the better. Not at all the kind of attitude or business mentality I expect in a small town like Garden City. Appointments could never be made within an appropriate time window and they are closed most Fridays and weekends. Unless you like getting you teeth drilled multiple times for the same issue, find another dentist.
