I had smelled a skunk smell coming from my basement and had called my "former" plumber and told him…read moreabout the smell. He came out and turned off the gas to my heating system. The smell was completely gone when he arrived. His conclusion as he left was I needed to replace the heating system. When I returned I called Valverde/Bond Plumbing and spoke with Lacey and asked if they might come out and look at the system. This was on a Friday and they were booked but Lacey called me back several times that day to say they were trying to get to me. By 5pm the service Tech John Montoya was at my house. I told him about the skunk smell the week before and he thought one probably sprayed near the house and the smell came into the basement from the vents. He turned the gas back on and spent an hour checking all the gas lines, thermostat etc. and said nothing was wrong with the boiler. He turned the gas back on and installed a carbon monoxide detector I had purchased. This was a month ago and the boiler has been working perfectly so no new Heat system needed after all. Thank you Larry Mapes owner of Valverde Energy/Bond Plumbing for hiring hard working, caring and skilled people.

Uriel happens to live next-door and he has stood behind the workmanship. He's been very helpful at connecting me with some of the subcontractors he used so that I could do a few little changes or upgrades here and there. I called and…read morewhile very briefly describing my issue got a rather snippy response: "We're 5 to 6 weeks out." Okay Bond Plumbing, sorry to bother you. Happily, my problem was not an emergency, but I will not be calling them again! Edit: 09/13/2022 As a result of a reply from the president and owner of this business within hours after my initial post, I am revising my rating from 2 to 4 stars. Being a former business owner myself, I understand the problems and frustrations of finding and keeping skilled employees. From the other reviews, this company may very well do 5 star work. However, I view plumbing as a service business, and a big part of service is providing it when the customer needs it. Who can wait 5 to 6 weeks if they have an emergency? My issue was not an emergency, but it was progressing, so I felt it needed attention before it became one. Although I had to get my problem fixed elsewhere, it is nice to know that the owner of this business is closely involved and concerned with its daily operation.
