The owners wanted to create a store within their community that supports businesses. Amber Said that " you shouldn't have to choose between doing good and looking and feeling your best." That's why they offer you style with a story! I came in and I was greeted right away by one of the owners Amber she was so nice! She showed me around the store and told me the story behind the business and the venders she supports. She also shared the range of price points on items in her store. The clothing range from $30-70. There were only a few pieces over $100. They also carry jewelry ranging from $16-$80 dollars. I know what you might be thinking kind of pricey, but the brands of jewelry they carry are empowering others. The brands restore power and offer outreach to women who have experienced challenges. IE: Addiction, homelessness or have been victims of human trafficking. You can purchase everything online and you can find out more information about the brands on how they give back on their website! You can also book a giveback gathering via there website. Downtown Apex fascinates me. For a small town, there's an amazing array of retail stores and shops…read moreall focused on keeping the money stream in the community and away from the box retailers. Southern Home Crafts takes that idea to a different level. It's an entire store of locally made goods. There's nothing quite like a home-made item, whether it's a candle, soap, buttons, picture frame, serving tray, or children's clothes. Lacking the cold perfection of similar mass-market items, things here are unique. The soaps, made in Raleigh, had some interesting scent combinations. The mugs can be special ordered, as can the paperweights, but if you have a favorite picture of your pet, you can have a paperweight made modeled on your pet. There are ready-made gift baskets or empty baskets to create your own. There are business cards near each grouping, and notes to contact the person who created the item directly for any special orders. Although there's a decent selection of things here, it's not crowded or overdone. It's nicely done.

Nope. When I got home and cut into the honeydew, the bottom was badly bruised and starting to go mushy--clearly not fresh. Then came the pineapple... completely disappointing. It looked fine on the outside but had almost no juice and barely any flavor. It's frustrating to spend money on fruit that should be fresh and ready to eat, only to end up throwing a good chunk of it away. Feels like no one is paying attention to the quality of produce here.
