This small shop on the Appleachain trail and near bike path had a great soft serve. It was creamy and delicious.

Grassland Dessert Cafe is more than just an ice cream shop -- it's Lakeville's new heartbeat…read more Owners Bill and Lorna have lovingly brought back to life the old Lakeville pharmacy, transforming it into a vibrant, joyful gathering spot that captures the spirit of small-town magic with every scoop. Step inside and you're greeted by the warm smile of proprietor Bill Colgan, whose boyhood memories of the Skipper Dipper on Long Island inspired this delightful adventure. He's recreated that nostalgic charm here -- with a twist! Craving a classic? The Orange Freeze and Root Beer Float will send you straight back to summer afternoons gone by. Want something modern? Don't miss flavors from Gifford's Ice Cream, like the rich, espresso-swirled Campfire S'mores, or the wildly indulgent Sea Salt Caramel Cookie Crunch -- the kind of flavors you can't stop thinking about. And if you're celebrating -- or just feel like going BIG -- order the Everything But the Garage Sink: a jaw-dropping creation with 20 scoops of ice cream, piled high with toppings. It's perfect for birthdays, school advisory groups, or a spontaneous family feast. This isn't just a dessert stop -- it's a place where memories are made. Whether you're a local or passing through the Northwest Corner, Grassland Dessert Cafe is a must-visit. Grab a cone, say hi to Bill, and feel the joy of community, one sweet bite at a time.m

Krispy Cones in the heart of the Berkshires is more than just great ice cream options…read more It's a local feel good stop that offers an assortment of things: hot/cold food, 24+ flavors of ice creams - soft/hard, a playground for children of all ages to sit back and relax while experiencing a taste of something familiar or new. Not being a local, but relaxing to take a hike or ski vacation in the area, this is a true treat to schedule in. On this most recent stop late end of the night stop of mine I was excited to order up some soft vanilla with peanut butter cups in a small cup all whipped up..."Blizzard" or "Friendz" style i suppose some would say. In addition to snatching something similar for my sister in law. Upon returning to my car to eat it since it was sorta chilly, I noted on a turn of the key...no start...Ahhh no way!!?! A dead battery it had to be...so ice cream sitting in the cup holder waiting for me to enjoy i quickly popped the hood to check it out being prepared to call AAA for a jump...but wait...owner of Krispy Cone John to the rescue! He pulled his truck over and whipped out his jumper cables and connected and viola! Thank Goodness it started right up and I knew I could at least get it back to the rental to then decide my options on where I was going to score a new battery locally. Not being from around here, no worries John not only got my car started and stomach filled with great creamy ice cream, but a tip on where to go the next day. All in all a great local business owned and run by a stand up fella that i recommend to all because not only do they have good eats at good prices, but is run by good friendly stand up people who truly care. Thanks again, I will be back again and again for sure, remembering all the epic moments!
