Lovely spot for ice cream, cheese, milk, frozen pizza, etc. Load up! On the way out we pulled over next to their cows that were grazing and one came up and said hello and enjoyed our petting.

Is there anything more perfect than eating fresh ice cream next to the cows that provided the milk overlooking a picturesque farm? They offer seasonal ice cream flavors like pumpkin pie and apple cider donut that are unbelievable. My pumpkin pie ice cream had the perfect pumpkin fall taste with marshmallows and pie crust mixed in. The prices are also surprisingly reasonable. The grilled cheese looked so good so we will need to come back and give that a try next time.

Really cute little farm, definitely helps get into the rural/farm vibes of the area. We came here for the cheese of course. We did the cheese plate (choice of 3 for $30). I let GF take the wheel with the choosing. We had 2 soft cheeses and one semi hard cheese. They were all really good. They threw on a few other things on the plate, sweet cubes (quince paste?), crackers, and those lil baby pickles. There were a bunch of cows relaxing nearby which really added to the ambiance. Only thing was that there were a couple dark hairs on one of the cheeses. Is that a farm thing? idk

High Lawn Farm was a wonderful find on our meandering back roads of Lennox and Lee. We went for some ice cream and then loaded up on cheeses, whole cream, jam and fresh butter to take home. Really wanted to buy steaks, pies and more but only so much room in the cooler. It's such an authentic place to visit with the cows outside and in the front barn. It's open till 7pm which is fab for us slow traveling tourists. Delicious ice cream with many friendly customers to chat with in line. Oh the ice cream Mint chocolate chip was out of this world creamy and minty and chippy, delicious. We ate with a view of the cows to enjoy the authentic nature of the farm. A must visit in this area.

This place is great. Visit the cows, get the grilled cheese, and eat some ice cream. Nothing bad about that. Highly recommend the seasonal ice cream flavors., like the apple cider donut ice cream. I'll be back tomorrow to pick up some cheese and meats before heading back to New York.

I was staying at Canyon Ranch and two people suggested to go here for the incredible ice cream. Purple cow flavor to be specific. They also mentioned the flight of ice cream. And cheese was also recommended. I got the van to shuttle me over. You enter through a cute little shop that has things like jams, candles, maple syrup, etc. kind of like what you would see at a farmers market. There was a chalk board with options for the grilled cheese. I just came from lunch or I would have had the grilled cheese- next time!! I asked to try the purple cow. Wow! The ice cream was incredible. It was so creamy. And the blackberry and blueberry in the Purple Cow was a flavor explosion. Lots chocolate chips in it too. I didn't bother trying other flavors. I got one scoop in the waffle cone and it was crispy. Highly recommend this as a stop.

We visited High Lawn Farm on a hot summer day and we had a fun time looking at all the cows and having ice cream. These cows live in the nicest barn I have ever seen. The aesthetic is fancy farm, for sure. We got the ice cream flight. It was fun to try the different flavors. We also tried a grilled cheese sandwich that was really good. The ice cream stand was separate from food area which made sense, because most people were there for ice cream on a hot day. I would suggest bringing your sun block or a parasol because there wasn't tons of shade with the large crowd.

Such a fun place and delicious live cream. We all enjoyed the variety of flavors and is homemade on site. People line up at the stand and enjoy the amazing flavors at picnic tables on a beautiful dairy farm. Cows, greenery and ice cream. Fun

We came here to check out the farm and of course taste their ice cream. They make their ice cream from milk from their cows. I love their unique flavors. I had a scoop of purple cow and strawberry rhubarb which was delicious. They have a small store that sells cheeses and other dairy products. They let you taste their cheeses but not cheeses that they sell from other Farms.

"Now, the first of December was covered with snow So was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston Though the Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frostin'" (James Taylor) High Lawn Farms and Ice Cream is nestled in the Berkshire Mountains and is universally loved on its Yelp page with a 4.8-star rating across 45 reviews. It was kind of a mixed bag for us, so let me break it down. GOOD STUFF The complex is gorgeous. Beautiful scenery, very cool buildings, plenty of cows and calves, a stocked country store that specializes in charcuterie and specialty foods. My ice cream was exceptionally good. I went with a small scoop of their Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip for $4.65. The scoop was pretty generous, the raspberry flavor was very good, the ice cream was smooth, velvety and excellent, but the thing that made my dish great was the extraordinary amount of yummy chocolate chips that made some bites of my ice cream resemble a candy bar. It was fantastic. THE ODD STUFF There is a very limited selection of ice cream flavors - only ten today. It's a very confusing layout here because you can actually order your ice cream at three different places, but the ice cream is served at one single place. You can order your ice cream inside the country store, outdoors under a covered walkway, and outdoors next to the pickup window. When it comes time to get your ice cream, that's also an oddity. Because ice cream orders are coming from three sources, there was little correlation between when you order and when you receive. For example, we ordered inside at the country store and walked over to the pickup window. New customers were also ordering at the same place, and they received their cones and cups before we received ours. I know its not the end of the world, but it felt odd to see people order and get their ice cream a few minutes after our order went in. I'll give a 5-star rating because of their legacy and how beloved they are in the area. And again, my ice cream was fantastic. Just be prepared for the limited flavors and idiosyncrasies in the ordering process,

This is a must-do when in the Berkshires. The ice cream is delicious and all of their dairy products are wonderful. We love their cheese and butter and the staff couldn't be friendlier. The cute cows on property are the icing on the cake!

Ice cream flight is basically a half gallon of ice cream hahah

Arriving 15 before they closed on a Sunday we weren't even sure it was open because of how dark the property was. A little disappointed we didn't get to explore the property because it looks beautiful in pics. We were still able to accomplish our main goal of getting ice cream tho!! I thought for sure the staff would be rushing us out but they gave us any samples we wanted and definitely loaded up our cups and cones! All the flavors rotate but the ones we tried were great - nice and creamy, fresh tasting. They offer an ice cream flight ! And it's insane haha just look at the picture I took of my dad's egg carton full. Hope to return in the daylight to see the animals and get more ice cream

Such a cute place. Got to see the cows and it is nice that it is dog friendly. We ordered apple crisp ice cream in a waffle cone and a pupcup. Love how modern their building looks. They had cute fall decorations as well.

Talbott & Arding was chosen as our first stop on our girls' getaway journey. Tucked in the Hudson Valley, just an hour from the Berkshires, it was a sweetly energetic beginning to our day. We each chose a sandwich from the counter. My smoked salmon on focaccia was a delight. The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle. It's on the small side considering where the liquor market is headed with Bevmo, Wegmanns and Total Wine and Spirits offering a football field of choices. They key to this shop is that everything is well organized and the selection is good for a shop of it's size. I met the owner who is very knowledgable in wine and what he has to offer. I believe he is French, which adds a bit of authenticity to browsing the Boudreaux section. I felt like I could trust his recommendations and he was honest and did not pull any punches. He gave me a few informed choices and let me make up my mind vs. pushing one particular bottle on me, which I like. I've been at some stores where the owner is more concerned about clearing out a certain brand or a new product, so I can tell the picks they offer are based on that. However, here, I felt that the owner was doing his best to give me several great recommendations so I would return. And I will. After I got done, another (local) customer asked the owner to pick a wine that goes with mushroom soup, so that is how specific the knowledge is here! The cheese case here is unreal ... there are plenty of great cheeses to choose from and I felt the prices were on par or much better than Guido's or Wholefoods. Don't sleep on the fresh baked breads. I bought what may have been the best fresh sourdough baguette I ever tasted here. It tasted like fresh charred pizza crust. I smacked on it all day. I buzzed the beer selection which looked like it had a lot of very unique picks and they even had cigarettes behind the counter. I did not see cigars but I'm sure they had them somewhere. The store is classy looking ... exactly what you'd expect to find in a town like Stockbridge. I recommend stopping by if you are in town. Each time I visit The Red Lion, I find a new great place like this!
