One of my favorite reasons for coming to Malibu is stopping by this chocolatier, I can never get enough of the great package to goodies in my favorite of course it's a long milk chocolate bar, they even have a sugar-free option which is amazing you won't believe how Amazingly affordable this wonderful handcrafted chocolate with a story related to the very own community of Southern California can offer you such a wonderful deal for only $10... You're practically stealing it! But small businesses like this are going to need some of us to come out there and sure 11 more than just post and lakes and for showing love to this chocolate store in person you will not regret it you will show lake and receive love

I hate to go against what the last several reviews have put as an overall rating. First and foremost, this place is a cute little trendy shop located at Malibu Country Market. Person working was extremely friendly and helpful to all employees that popped in to check out what this place was about. A pretty good selection is available and not just chocolate bars/bites. They also have some hot chocolate that was pretty intriguing. Now, for the three star part. I would say that $15 for basically a king size candy bar (maybe slightly larger) is expensive, but if it sets the gold standard for a chocolate bar, it's an indulgence I can live with. That being said, it was a good candy bar, but nothing to write home about. The Earth, moon and sun didn't come into alignment as we bit into a magical creamy milk chocolate bar. $15 for something that sets the gold standard wouldn't be horrible, but for something that is basically similar to what I've had at a far lower price. I would come here again, I wouldn't go out of my way, but I'd stop back by here. If you're in the area you should try them out, you may think differently than I do with regard to it being the best chocolate you've ever had.

Cute little boutique in Malibu Cross Creek area for some of the very best chocolates. My favorite is the chocolate truffles - so creamy, chocolatey but not overly sweet. What a treat. The pecan crisps and snowballs ( chocolate and chopped hazelnuts) are new items and so so good! The dark chocolate cherry and chocolate blueberries are also newish items and equally delicious. Another favorite are the chocolate teddy bears! The chocolates are pricey- but make a great gift for someone special and more of a special treat for me. Definitely stop by- the service is great- Jane helped me and she's super nice and helpful!!

Cute little chocolatier spot in Malibu. I sampled the dark chocolate covered rice bears and truffles. Wow! Smooth and creamy! $40 for the chocolate shown.

This shop is tiny, but it's packed with delectable top quality chocolates. If I were a chocolate connoisseur, this is where I would go. K Chocolatier focuses not only on quality, but on presentation. It sells tiny hand made flower boxes with small amounts of chocolates in them for $12. It also offers drinkable chocolates. There was one girl in this shop, and she was fabulous! She had a delightful personality and had outstanding p.r. skills.

Located at the Malibu Country Mart, they sell chocolates as the name of the store might suggest. They offered us tastes of anything we wanted to try, a nice gesture. We tried their signature "bear," which is essentially a piece of chocolate with rice krispies in it. Eh. Not my thing. We also tried one of their alcohol-infused chocolates..... I tried one with vodka. It definitely tasted like vodka, and supposedly, each chocolate is filled with the equivalent of 1/4 of a shot glass. To be honest, I MUCH prefer the alcohol infused truffles at Teuscher....... those are divine, whereas these were only good. Just nothing to rave about in my book, and for the price, they'd better be amazing. The most impressive thing about this store is their gift wrapping/packaging. Very pretty and colorful.... but you know the saying, you can't tell a book by its cover.

Tasty chocolate but certainly not worth $45 dollars a bag! I stopped by this place on my way out from urban outfitters, I am a chocolate lover so I had to give it a try. On the day of my visit they had complimentary samples of the milk chocolate covered puffed rice which was ok. I walked out with $45 bag of kokonuts instead. Their presentation was certainly worth the $45 bucks but the actual product was just average. I would come back here only if I had to buy and impressive gift for someone.

I get a mini bouquet each Mother's Day from my hubby.

This was the closest location, and a perfect spot to hang out for a while longer. After scoring our small gelatos, we headed out to sit in the sunshine adjacent to the fountain out front. It was just warm enough to be pleasant, and the wind mostly behaved by not chasing napkins away on the breeze. Since I had to give up dairy a few years ago, it's such a pleasure to be able to count on Tifa for having three to four flavors each day without it. The little tea wafers they add to the gelato are delightful for their delicate flavor and flaky texture. Whoever does the hiring for their shops seems to do a great job of finding friendly employees who display warmth in their welcoming greetings. I understand that the real estate prices at this center must be expensive, but it's a shame that the indoor space here is very tight. A number of the other Tifa locations have more elbow room, and encourage lingering by offering games and puzzles to keep the young and young-at-heart amused while enjoying their gelato and chocolate treats. That's the only reason for four stars instead of five here.

Apparently, it can be so rich and thick (European Style) that it is part healing warmth and the other part just wildly delicious. So I decided to go ahead and find a cup of thick, and rich cocoa to hit me with holiday splendor, the kind that can re-assemble Frosty after his final melt. My friend Conrad and I were the duo who ventured to ChocoVivo to try chocolate, on chocolate, on chocolate, with some water on the side. ChocoVivo is in Culver City. The place itself is on Washington Blvd amidst some bars, and eateries. This place lends itself to be a dessert spot, an experience for chocolate lovers and those who are not, and anyone who just wants to experience the taste of chocolate in-depth and in odd luxury. As soon, as I entered, I made a beeline for the counter. I was overwhelmed with all the chocolatey choices: pastries, drinks, squares, with the list continuing exhaustively, it even included a chocolate skull that might serve better as decoration than a treat. I excused myself and went to use the restroom, I dared not ask questions to understand my options, when my bladder was full. I might make rash decisions, due to my inability to focus. And with so many options in front of me, I wanted to sample what was right and balanced for me. I wanted to sample chocolate, I just did not just want to taste chocolate. My trip to the facilities was a small adventure in itself. I passed a room with a man working on his laptop. But the room, seemed to be, like a Sultan's rest-room. It had pillows, hanging lamps, and a cream like colored that reminded me of sun-kissed sand. I clipped the room. There is a Minion (from Illumination fame) chilling in one of the couches. Another picture shows, a fishing net (maybe) with make-shift clouds pouring out of it, also leafs and butterflies. It seemed to be the remains of a shipwreck but it also held decorations that could have made the space more beautiful. I believe, and I could be wrong, of course, that this room used to be functional. A place to lounge, and see beauty, while enjoying chocolate. Now it was a forgotten room, whose purpose never fulfilled, and thus had stuff scattered around. I am sure, everyone can relate to that feeling, of getting stuff for an imagined room that never quite materializes and thus the room becomes storage, more than anything. Kondo deliver us! After, I came to the cashier, I ordered a hot chocolate. Conrad made a point, that the hot chocolate I ordered was not the European sipping hot chocolate that I had talked about on our car ride there. He then. made a point, that I should read a menu and then ask questions. I ask questions, as I read the menu. I eventually, ordered two hot chocolates, (one for him and one for me) and then we sampled 12 chocolate squares--- a sampler. The total was close to 60.00 dollars so this is an experience that is not going to the local mart and buying a Hershey's bar. The 12 chocolate samples were just great and enough, there were bigger samples, which I considered buying, but the price deterred me. The one that I got was super appropriate for both of us, by the end I was enjoying slightly by force, I mustered the strength to finish the half marathon. The full marathon would have tapped me out. The samples came with a card. Conrad was the one who was consulting the card, so we could not what chocolate we ate. It was truly fun, to be with someone who read of the information of the card, and then we tried to identify the taste as the card described. I wish I would have taken a picture of the card, but honestly, I am more of a determine by taste taster than a person who wants to be informed of what he is tasting, to know what he is tasting. I do remember the worst tasting chocolate we tasted--- it had black tea infused into it, I do not remember its cacao percentage, each chocolate had a cacao percentage. The hire the percentage, the sweeter the chocolate. The black tea had this earthy and tea taste that was profound. I guess imagine tasting. a black tea without sugar that is kind of the taste I struggled with. I am glad I tasted this chocolate, however, because it was part of the whole experience. I did not drive to the beach and endure a pothole, I drove to the beach and was both intrigued and jolted by the bounce that the pothole produced. Some chocolates I really enjoyed, the hot chocolate was goodness in a cup. The chocolate sampler also came with an espresso that was split into two cups. I was provided a knife to cut each chocolate. I put the knife in the center with one arm, and use the other hand to pierce the chocolate. My halfs were not perfect. Sometimes Conrad got the bigger half square, sometimes I did. I annotate all this so one knows that when you visit ChocoVivo you will need to work, if you want to split those chocolates, but the work was part of the fun!

I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item.
