I did go to Yelp to see what other patient's families had to say and the Yelp reviews were all great so I decided to give him a try. It did take a bit of phone tag to get the appointment scheduled, but I'm glad we were finally able to get her an appointment and fortunately it wasn't booked too far out either. They were able to get her in the following week at a time that worked for us. There is both street parking and a private lot across the street for the building, both are easy and convenient options. The office is a little hidden in the back corner of the courtyard, but overall it was easy to find. We were greeted right away and all of the staff members we had contact with were nice. This helped keep my daughter relaxed. We were taken back fairly quickly and met Dr. Valdez. Dr. Valdez was very kind and professional. He has such a nice way about him and my daughter felt comfortable and calm during his exam, X-rays and cleaning. Dr. Valdez also mentioned that he treats special needs adults, and based off of the gentle and patient way he treated my daughter, I have no doubt he treats all of his patients with the same level of care. I am so glad we found him and his office, my only regret is that we didn't find him sooner!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because, although we were seated quickly, we weren't seen for 45 minutes. It seemed like there was only one dentist on staff. Once we were seen, the dentist was great, but expecting a toddler to sit still for 45 minutes is difficult. Also, the back area where we were seated was very hot. The air conditioning wasn't working, and we were back there for over an hour, which made the wait even more uncomfortable.
