I had my wedding at Stage 6, so was required to use one of their recommended florists. I'm sure we would have been able to find a florist for cheaper had we had the choice, but Alison at Diana Gould was great. I met with Ali and we talked about my ideas and what I liked and didn't like. She translated my views perfectly. I went in for a sample of my centerpieces and she was very accommodating to some tweaks I had. She even emailed me pictures of the bouquets the day before the wedding and again I gave some feedback and when they arrived on the day of they were gorgeous! I loved my flowers and got so many compliments as to how beautiful they were. The church flowers were stunning; I couldn't have imagined anything better. I will be having a wedding at the Lighthouse, and as per their recommendation list was Diana Gould. We've heard great things about this place, but our experience has been anything but. We made our first appointment with her which took several weeks. However, the day before, she calls to reschedule, claiming there was a "mix-up" in her scheduling. Already kind of agitated by such a foolish mistake, we decided to give her another chance. Fast forward to the following week; the day of our rescheduled appointment. We call her office to find out the exact location of her office, but her receptionist tells us that "her car broke down" and we would have to reschedule. And WHEN was the receptionist going to tell us this? Had we not called, we would've went anyway, only to find out that she wasn't there. The fishy part of the story is that the receptionist wanted to know if we can come in several hours EARLIER than our appointment. That does not make entire sense if someone is RUNNING LATE, to have an appointment EARLIER. DIANA GOULD CANNOT BE TRUSTED! I was so blessed to have Diana Gould and her team do the decor at my wedding. Her and her team were so fantastic in every regard. When I arrived at her beautiful showroom in Elmsford, I brought lots of pictures and ideas along to make my wedding dream a reality. At first, it seemed I would have to go to another vendor because the quoted price was a bit much (I had big dreams and had already run over budget), but they made sure to make it a reality within my budget and even threw in little details that I hadn't asked for that were so cute and just made it phenomenal. She listened to what we wanted and made incredibly innovative and creative suggestions. She makes herself very available and treated my daughter and family like family. How many ways can we say that we LOVE Enza A. And Diana Gould LTD!!!! I was married on July 2014 in Tarrytown NY. Enza was professional yet personable and she or the team did not hesitate to answer any question that we had or make any changes ( some last minute, sorry Enza!) that we needed. And everything was simply gorgeous!!! With rave reviews from all the wedding guests. We even had a small issue with the flowers on the day of the wedding and Enza went in her car to the nearest store to fix the issue! Now that's service. They worked with us to stay within our budget but at no time did we feel that we were getting less or that they could not accommodate our requests. We would not hesitate to use them again! We are planning our wedding at Tappan Hill where we are required to use one of their 4 florists. We opted to visit with each one to really get a feel of what they could separately bring to the (reception) table and obviously to get an idea of price. We visited Diana Gould last mostly because it took them 3 weeks to give us an appointment and kept mixing up the times when they would call to confirm. We showed up right on time for our early morning appointment and were ushered into the main room where 4 other brides were meeting with sales and were left waiting for about 20 minutes. The woman that finally sat down with us was far from interested in hearing what I wanted for my own wedding,when taking down our info she basically blew off my fiance who is very involved in the wedding planning process and was also my voice being that I was sick. When he insisted that we knew what style we wanted she continued disappearing to bring back photos that hardly related to what we were describing. Not only did they never call to follow up on our visit but it took them over 2 weeks to send us a proposal that was significantly more expensive than any of the other florists. I've been informed by people who work in the wedding industry that they are known for taking on too many jobs, delivering wrong or broken arrangements and having to be called back multiple times before the wedding even begins. DO NOT waste your time with them, they are rude and expensive and a better florist will be booked while your waiting for your estimate! read more

Diana Gould was a recommended vendor for my upcoming wedding. We scheduled a weekend that worked for me, at their Elmford location. (they have a townhouse in Manhattan as well). Unfortunately, I have not had a positive experience with Diana Gould. In person, they were overly sweet and seemingly accommodating! On the day of our appointment, they showed us a sample centerpiece, which was simple and close to the concept of my wedding. Everything seemed fine and promising. After a few weeks, an itemized proposal is sent to us, which to their credit is fantastic. But our flower budget was doubled.The costs were so above and beyond our means that I could not believe it. We're asking for simple centerpieces, not a rain forest of flowers!!!!! We exchanged a number of emails to re-work some of the proposal items. Some emails were nicer than others, but generally speaking all I got were snotty remarks. Pardon my little experience with wedding flowers, but I should NEVER be told to "google [seasonal flowers] because its easier that way" a la Diana Gould. No. Just say No. Save yourself the headache. read more

I contacted Diana Gould to inquire about flowers for my upcoming wedding. During the phone consultation with Jen, I stated that we hoped to limit our flower budget to under $10,000, and she told me that their minimum was $8,000 but that I should expect to spend at least $10,000, likely more. Even though Jen was rather rude on the phone, I decided to make an appointment to at least meet with them in person (given that we have to use one of our vendor's "preferred floral vendors"). A few days later, after giving it some more thought, I emailed Jen and cancelled the appointment. I decided that I'd rather spend ten thousand dollars with a company who would appreciate the business, and also so I didn't have to worry about getting a low level of service because I didn't have an exorbitant floral budget. Less than a minute after hitting send to cancel the appointment, I coincidentally got a call from Diana Gould herself politely telling me that I should cancel the appointment because she "needs to make a living" which she can't do if I don't want to spend more than $10,000 on my wedding flowers. In all fairness, I can't speak to the quality of the floral arrangements themselves. Rather, I can only speak to their attitude and reluctance to work with me because of my apparently low $10,000 budget. If you have the money to spend, this may not bother you. If you're on the fringe, however, consider this story when making your decision. read more

This is a long overdue review. We got married at the Lighthouse which included Diana Gould as one of the required florists. I met with our designer in their city office which is basically just a rented space they use to talk to clients. After receiving their proposal and researching a few other places, we decided to go with Diana Gould because they seemed to know what they were talking about. It was a pain to make an appointment to see a sample of our centerpiece since their showroom is in Elmsford, NY and had limited availability for appts on the wknds and we work and live in the city, but we managed to make one. During this whole process, we were never asked where we wanted our flowers to be delivered but my event planner contacted them to confirm that we wanted our flowers to be delivered to the hotel we were getting ready at since we were taking bridal party and bride and groom pictures at unique locations around the city. To make a long story short, the flowers never arrived at the hotel and we rushed to take what we could at the venue before the ceremony started. After our wedding, I contacted Diana Gould to let her know what had happened and how disappointed I was that they didn't deliver the flowers to the correct location. Diana was incredibly rude and unprofessional, accusing me of not telling my designer in the "12 emails that you exchanged with her, not once did you mention where you wanted to flowers to be delivered." Excuse me, but have you not heard of a phone call?? She then proceeded to tell me that the whole situation sounded like "a comedy of errors" and that she heard that I had taken "many photos at the venue with the flowers." and asked me "what do you want? would you like me to send holiday flowers to your mother?" First off, we had a few special locations that we had planned to take our photos at so just taking photos at the venue does not make up for the fact that the backdrop was not what we had planned or intended. Second, having had my father pass away a few months before my wedding, I was incredibly offended to have her ask me if I wanted flowers delivered to my mother. Who speaks to their client like this? I have never felt so upset and insulted in my entire life. We did not spend $8K+ on wedding flowers to be treated in such a manner. Shame on you Diana Gould. The only reason why I give them 1 star is because the actual flowers did turn out beautifully. It was the lack of professionalism and service that was horrendous. STAY AWAY!! read more

My husband and I were married at Tappan Hill Mansion this summer and worked with Regina at Diana Gould. Despite some of the other reviews, we could not have been happier with her work. We met with Regina several times before the wedding to go over our vision for the flowers. She and the staff at Diana Gould are extremely knowledgeable and are very easy to work with. Everyone is extremely professional and genuine. I loved working with Regina. She was very easy to work with and hit the nail on the head with my flowers. You absolutely get what you pay for with Diana Gould - my flowers were exquisite. I found Diana Gould Ltd. easy to work with. Everyone at the office bent over backwards to accommodate our needs (emailing, calling after hours, etc.), and was really nice. Their showroom in Elmsford is really cool - about 8 weeks before your wedding, they set up a table with your flower arrangement(s) and you can go over what you like, dislike, etc. I found this extremely helpful. It can be tough to explain to a stranger exactly what your vision is, and I found that this step in the planning virtually eliminated any opportunities for you to be disappointed with the results. If you're working with a florist of this caliber, you clearly care about how the flowers look, and one of my most favorite things about working with Diana Gould Ltd. was that I got to see my bouquet (and the bridesmaids' bouquets) the day before the wedding. If you think you're too busy the day before the wedding to go check the bouquets, get up half an hour earlier to make time. It was absolutely worth the 30 minutes - they made me a beautiful and flawless bouquet, which I genuinely hated. Even when you work with the best of the best, opportunities for miscommunication abound. The first bouquet they made for me was perfectly round and too modern for my taste. Think large ball of roses - beautiful, but not what I wanted. While this seems like it would be a major problem, it wasn't even for a minute. I had a conversation with the woman who was actually making the bouquet in the design room in the back and within 15 minutes, I had the bouquet of my dreams. Diana Gould Ltd. is among the more expensive florists recommended by Tappan Hill, but I never felt that there were any hidden costs or charges that appeared at the last minute. The proposals they put together aren't intimidating like other vendors - they break each item out by cost (i.e., Bride's Bouquet - $X, Groom's Boutonniere - $X, etc.) and they're flexible about changes to the proposal. Best of all, the person you work with is on-site at your wedding, making sure the set-up crew is doing exactly what you discussed. My one and only complaint was that something (a stamen or pollen) from one of the dark purple flowers in my bouquet (and I still don't know what flower it was) rubbed against my dress and left a mark (that thankfully came out with soda water). I definitely advise every bride to double check that NONE of the flowers used in the bouquets have any sort of dye or pollen on them. read more

I'm very surprised to see such negative reviews. Like so many others here, my husband and I were married at Tappan Hill, which has a small list of permitted florists. We visited them all, but really connected with Klavdia at Diana Gould. Our initial meeting was great because she really took the time to get a sense of what we wanted. When it sounded like something would be outside our budget (i.e. hurricane glasses, which were a staggering $800), she gave us a head's up, but then included them in the itemized estimate so we could easily take them out. As others have said, those estimates were great. It broke down exactly what each item cost, so when we were over budget (and we were, but like I said, Klavdia had told us we would be) it was easy to figure out where to make cuts. Personally, I really appreciated that when we did need to take things out, we weren't greeted with a snotty air. Instead there were a lot of "I agree, you don't need those" affirmations, so it didn't feel like we were "ruining" the wedding by staying in budget. The thing that impressed me the most was Klavdia's ability to take my ideas, expressed incredibly inarticulately (I really know nothing about flowers/design), and translate them into exactly what I wanted. A few weeks before the wedding, we were called to their showroom to see our tables all set up, and we were absolutely floored. I'm giving four stars instead of five because I do think they're very expensive. Part of that is just the way it goes in Westchester, but I can't give five stars for huge costs. read more

Used Diana Gould for my wedding. She set me up with "Peter". Well day of wedding came and Peter didnt do anything we asked and went over and paid for!! Petal path- wrong colors; wrong flowers in bridal bouquet; flowers specifically asked NOT to use- used in Chuppah. And day of my wedding after he did the set up- he dissappeared and neither I nor the wedding coordinator could reach him to fix what he screwed up. AND I supplied 15 vases for cocktail hour which he not only never used- but never returned and then lied and said he never received! ! I DROVE them up to them from Long Island! Glen Island required us to work either with Arcadia or Diana Gould for our wedding. Initially, we selected Arcadia. It needs to be said upfront that Sammy at Arcadia was wonderful and his work was absolutely beautiful, but for the type of decor that we wanted, we ultimately decided to go with Diana Gould because they were more extensive in their decor selections. Enza made us feel at ease right away. Throughout the process, she helped me stay on point with my budget and gave me a realistic perspective on what kind of decor I would need to create the vision I had in my head for our wedding. Their services do not come cheap, but trust me when I say you get what you pay for. Enza and Diana took care of us and made my hopes for a romantic and elegant setting come to life. Her high and low centerpieces for our tables (cherry blossoms with hanging votive candles and winding orchids in candelabras, respectively) were accented by the almost two hundred candles we had displayed throughout the room. Our already beautiful church was only accentuated by the incredible floral arrangements that flanked the alter. My bouquet had the perfect amount of bling without being over-the-top and the bridesmaids bouquets of purple flowers received compliments by our guests all night. I asked Enza very last minute for a Wishing Tree in lieu of a traditional guest book and got tons of compliments about it throughout the night. She checked in on me after the wedding to make sure that I was happy with everything. I absolutely loved working with her and was floored by the spectacular work her team did. read more

Diana Gould is on the list of my halls recommended vendors & a few of our family friends have used them so my fiance, mother & I decided to meet with them. We met with Klavdiya and walked out of the appointment extremely excited & hopeful that we had found our florist. She was very friendly in the meeting & had great ideas. I know Diana Gould is one of the pricier floral companies in Westchester but she assured us that she would stay within our budget ($7,000) which I thought was more than reasonable for flowers. When I received my proposal a few days later, I was astonished to find that the grand total was over $11,000. Hysterical since I specifically said in the appointment that I did not want to spend $10,000 on flowers. Were we not all in the same meeting? Guess not... I of course emailed her with my dissatisfaction in the proposal and instead of writing me back and trying to work with me, she never had the courtesy to respond. Unless you have a budget of $10,000 and above for flowers, don't even waste your time with this place. read more

My husband and I got married @ Tappan Hill 1 month ago. Diana Gould is 1 of their required florists. (you get to choose from 5 or 6 florists). I thought that Diana Gould would be the most expensive by far. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were competitively priced. I worked with Charmaine. She really tried to work with me to keep me in budget from the get go. I had met with 1 of the other florists prior to sitting down with her. I was all over the place with regards to what I wanted. I came with a few photos and she IMMEDIATELY was able to figure out the look I was trying to create. It is difficult for me to visualize, but Charmaine really superseded my expectations. I have gotten about 100 compliments on my bouquet and centerpieces. Additionally, there were no errors the day of, (every bride's worst nightmare). After the fact, guests at the wedding had told me they used Diana Gould for their formal event as well, and everyone had always been very satisfied. If you are looking for a florist, I highly recommend Diana Gould for their professionalism, creativity & ability to work with any budget. read more

My wedding was January 18, 2014 at the Lighthouse in NYC. Our venue gave us a list of preferred vendors, and as this was an important decision for our wedding day, we took the time to meet with the majority. Let's just say not all of my experiences were so great, however the second we met with Enza at Diana Gould we new that this was going to be our florist!! She made our initial consultation so comfortable and exciting I left screaming to my fiancé...this is it! Enza took the time to listen to all of our ideas, and even dealt with with my crazy Bridezilla PowerPoint vision. She loved it and even got excited herself. Within days we received a detailed and organized quote from her. From there she even worked on a few conference calls with us to work within our budget, but not sacrifice the overall design aesthetic. The best day was when we visited the main office and Enza had our centerpiece and table set for us. It was so amazing I knew we made the best decision. The day of our wedding we couldn't even believe our eyes....Enza and her team went above and beyond our expectations. From the Aisle, Chuppah, Candles and Centerpieces...Total Perfection. All of our guests to this day still talk about our florist and decor. Enza we can't thank you enough for how special and beautiful you made our special day. Diana Gould was recommended to us by Lighthouse where we will be having our reception. My experience with them has been less than satisfactory. I initially called and spoke with Jen. She seemed rushed and annoyed and told me she was calling from her car and didn't have her calendar handy and would have to set up a meeting later (unprofessional). She made a point to tell me that each centerpiece is $250/$350 each but the entire package would be a minimum of $10,000. I'm having 25 tables (not a small wedding) so was confused how the costs could go that high given the cost per arrangement but foolishly decided to move forward. Setting up the appointment was not pleasant either. I wanted to meet after work if possible and Jen acted as if this was a major inconvenience to her. On the day of the appointment, we arrived at the townhouse for the meeting and there was no receptionist present. We stood on the 1st floor for about 10 mins while numerous people were walking around, talking to each other, and completely ignoring us. No one asked us if we needed help or who we were there to see. We finally emailed Jen and she came downstairs right before I was about to walk out. The appointment itself was pleasant but again, she wasn't very friendly. A few days later we still had no proposal so my fiance called her to inquire. Jen was rude, yet again, and seemed annoyed by the call. We then received the proposal a few hours later for over $14,000. The pricing is egregious and literally double what I've been quoted for less services (no candles over the dance floor....which Diana Gould wants $2500 for). I informed Jen that the pricing was double and we wouldn't be moving forward and received a one sentence reply telling me good luck. Obviously, they don't care about our business. I seriously don't understand why Lighthouse has them as a partner and I will be speaking with them about this. Just say no....many other options out there. read more

With a mood inspired by the south of France, The Great Gatsby and Miss Havisham's mansion in Great Expectations, we worked with the brilliant Jen Mirabella of Diana Gould Floral and Event Design to turn our vision into reality. We juxtapositioned the laid-back nature of an outdoor garden party at one's private home with the formal elements afforded by a black-tie dress code. Inside the dinner tent long tables were adorned with glowing candelabras paired with elegant linens and place settings. Cream, white and green floral arrangements overflowed in unique vessels made of antique silver and brass. One wedding element that really stands out was the wrought-iron arbor that was covered with roses to create a stunning Chupah for us to get married under that felt like it had been on the property for decades. The weekend was an absolute dream, perfect in every way, and we have Diana Gould to thank for making it flawless. I got married at Capitale in NYC in September with 270 guests. Jen from DG was our designer and was 100% committed to executing the unique vision we had for the wedding. Jen helped create an incredible large scale chandelier made out of antlers, crystals and candles that was the centerpiece to our large room- it WOWed the crowds! Additionally, she worked extremely close with me to ensure that the eclectic ideas we had for the tables came to fruition in the most sophisticated yet unexpected way. There was driftwood, flowers, pillar candles, votives, colored glass, crystals, feathers, turquoise, fabrics and so much more and it looked elegant yet fashionable. My husband and I are very very specific in our taste and Jen was AMAZING when working through the details to give us our dream wedding décor! No matter what your aesthetic Jen will work with you until you are 100% satisfied.
