Ok fine. There were a few bulbs not working on the tent and they left the tables and chairs folded under the tent for us to lay out. It was raining. Ok fine. There was no communication about pick up. The scheduled time on the invoice came and went and I randomly saw them removing the tent a day later. Didn't even ring the doorbell. Got the job done, but definitely need to work on their communication.

He worked really well with us and our wedding planner as well. On our big day, he was very helpful, understanding and eased our nerves with how many unexpected changes that came throughout the day. He was also very understanding and accommodating with our family's cultural needs. The food was also amazing. He worked extensively with us to make the best menu possible for our guests. We were so impressed when we had our taste test it was almost hard to eliminate the options. Definitely go with the steak and fried onions! Also, the salmon with sweet potato was amazing and made me really like mashed sweet potatoes. One thing I was worried about was the smell of the fresh mulch outside during our visits but thankfully, that was not a problem during our actual wedding day! The venue came with my very own bridal attendant, Breanna who was very knowledgeable and learned how to bustle both of my dresses on her own without my asking, which i was very impressed with! I'm so grateful for her in making the day run so smoothly and someone to chill with when I had a moment to myself. Overall, the venue was amazing. Our guests loved the scenery and the venue was big enough to accommodate our nearly 400 party size!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would…read more Surf's Club was one of the most unpleasant venues I've ever worked at. The carpets smelled so bad that I genuinely started feeling dizzy while setting up for my bride. The loading dock is right by the dumpster area, and the smell back there is overwhelming. There was garbage juice trailing from the dumpster area toward the kitchen where they prepare the food, which was honestly shocking to see. The entire area looked neglected and unsanitary. The vendor entrance hallway had two fly traps that were completely covered in dead flies and looked like they hadn't been changed in a very long time. It was disgusting. What bothered me even more than the cleanliness was how the staff treated vendors. We were treated like second-class citizens. I was told I wasn't allowed to use the main bathroom and had to go all the way to the basement instead. I've worked at many venues and have never experienced separate bathrooms based on whether you're a vendor or a guest. I also got lectured for arriving 30 minutes late to set up, even though it had absolutely no impact on the event and the party wasn't starting for another six hours. Despite having plenty of time, we were constantly rushed throughout setup. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. They made sure to remind every vendor exactly where we stood. If you're looking for a similar venue, save yourself the headache and book Greentree Country Club instead. The staff is welcoming and respectful, the venue is spotless, the views are beautiful, and the overall experience is everything Surf's Club should strive to be. I won't be returning to Surf's Club, and based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

And, it's in West Chester! Food is better than many restaurants I ate at in Manhattan. Because, this is run by a catering master of a couple decades. This is the place to try her exquisite recipes. We keep coming back every couple of months to eat here. Never gets too crowded, but give yourself time. This is not a "rushed place". Wine selection out of this world. Spirits available. This place is about enjoying your leisure time. Some fast-paced folks need to know this: Take the moment to decompress. The seating, wine, menu WILL be offered. It is not that rushed kind of a place and is not towards you as you as a walk-in. Can make a reservation. It is old school. Relax, you will be taken care of 100%. Fabulous owner and chef is there all the time making sure everything tastes wonderful. That detail takes time. It is finally time to get back to having a relaxing, non-rushed dining experience. This is how a dining night out should feel, comfortable, slower pace, excellent wine, excellent food to savor, being asked how the food was, and being able to focus o each other and hear each other speaking.... !
