Our second time using Smart Repair was when our daughter damaged the car. We contacted Shaun and within the day, the required part was located and ordered. The last time was not even for service but for information. Our son who lives north of Edmonton was looking for bumper covers for a 2010 Ford Expedition that he intended to replace himself. Shaun took the time to serch his own computer, looking all over North America for those damn covers. He followed all of that with great and freindly advice and refused any payment for his time. The work that they had done on the other services was completley unnoticeable. Thank you Shuan

I feel truly blessed to have grown up with the Banno family that owns and operates this shop. These…read moreguys have true integrity. Never too busy to explain things in greater detail. On days like today when it's -40°C and everyone has a broken car, they take time away from their lives and their families, working late, just to help make sure their friends and loyal customers are safe. And they do their due diligence to learn about your make and model of car, so they can let you know what are common problems to expect, and what may be needed in a month or a year so you're not caught by surprise. Best friends a gal could hope for, and added bonus that they keep me alive on the road every day. Great value, too. I was driving a lemon a few years ago, and Dave said, "I've run a cost analysis on how much you pay to fix your car every year compared to an average family. As your mechanic, I would love you to keep fixing this car. As your friend, please stop fixing this car." That's the kind of honesty you can expect at Banno Auto.

I arranged to have my brother do the work. Upon doing it he discovered the work was already complete. My brother called and confirmed that Dave Banno worked on my vehicle for free as a gift. He replaced three of my brakes and did an oil change and washed my vehicle. At first I was so grateful. I started spending time with him and gave him a Christmas gift. He was really nice at first but after five days of spending time with him, one night he slapped and choked me. I also recently noticed that he put a sticker on the back of my car that is very difficult to take off, advertising Banno Auto. He did this without consent also. I wouldn't put it passed him to say that I stopped spending time with him for a different reason other than the fact that he did things to my property without my permission, assaulted me, and has been trying to buy me, manipulate me and guilt me into spending more time with him. I really hate that I have to write this but I believe that if I don't he may do this and maybe worse things to other women.

On Wednesday September 2nd I had the worst customer service experience EVER!…read more First I drove 20km to the NE Calgary Store to buy a charging dock advertised in your online flyer. I searched the store and finally had to ask an employee where it was (showing him the device on my phone). He asked for the SKU # which I found and gave to him. He said that location didn't have it, but the South store had 18. WHY ARE YOU ADVERTISING SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T HAVE AT ALL LOCATIONS? We decided to drive to the south store, as we wanted to buy a couple. We drove another 20km + to the south store. I can see why INDEED.COM has so many negative employee comments. The first lady I talked to was terse and wouldn't even look at me (customers are an inconvenience I guess). The 2nd person said "I don't know where they are," and began walking away. I asked if she could find someone that did, to which she responded by going to a computer (in a huff). She asked for the SKU # which I gave her. She said they have them and they should be on the floor, but said she would check in the back. 10 minutes later she came back and said "I can't find them." Having gone out of my way to find and purchase the item, I asked for the Managers name. She said "Owen" but didn't know his last name. I went to the front till and asked another person, who also did not know (and also was visibly perturbed by my presence) and finally asked another employee who said his last name is Frank. Your inventory control is bad, but your customer service is even worse. There were customers AND staff that were not wearing face masks properly or at all. I can see why your reviews are generally negative and existing and former staff hate(d) working there. I have purchased a number of things from your store that I found on REBEE (online flyer)- I will never enter your store again. When retail in general is hurting so bad, AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS!? WOW. I will also encourage friends, family and others to NEVER shop at Princess Auto again. I am fiercely customer service oriented and this could/should have been easily addressed. So disappointed.
