Facial hair or body hair can be emotionally overwhelming. Imagine having to shave every other day or waxing every 2 to 3 weeks. Being a woman is not easy!! I have suffered from excessive hair growth after getting diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 21 it surely caused me to have hirsutism. The hair growth was brutal on my arms, face (especially the chin), legs, and back. I cannot even describe how it was to live with those hair shaving almost every other day and not be able to wake up and wear whatever I liked. As a desperate person trying to get rid of these hair, I have tried to get laser treatment on my face from American laser hair removal which was nothing but a rip off for $1200 just for 6 sessions. Then I tried another place velvet laser which was pricey but I was able to get my chin hair removed. I still struggled with body hair and thank goodness I found Sonia through a friend. She has honestly changed my life for the best. I purchased 6 sessions for armpit initially to see how it works out and I was impressed with the results. After the initial sessions, I purchased 6 sessions for full body. The previous laser treatments, I have received were gel based. A layer of gel was placed on my face and laser beam was passed through it. But Sonia uses a direct skin laser technique which did wonders for me. I have been getting full body laser treatment for a year and honestly I can wear whatever I like without having to worry about my annoying hair which barely even exist now. Sonia is highly professional and her prices are affordable. Considering my PCOS, I still go for touch ups like every 2-3 months. I am able to have confidence in myself now. I still recall those days when I got called out for my hair and some even made rude remarks like oh you are not a woman. But I am grateful that Sonia has made it a living possibility for me to be confidence. I definitely recommend Sonia to anyone because you won't find a better deal anywhere else. It's always great to be working with someone who truly treat their customers with respect and love. As for laser it surely going to hurt well more so like a pinch or stinging. I have never experienced any form of reaction and neither do I ever use aloe Vera after the treatment. After the laser you are encouraged to shave don't tweeze, wax or use any hair removal products. Also if you are on some acne treatment like vitamin A derivatives then the treatment for laser has to wait 6 months until the completion of your therapy. Laser along with vitamin A can lead to serious skin reactions and is not recommended at all. read more

A little notice here - l have white skin and black hair, so I'm ideal patient, maybe that's why the result what so fast. My experience with Sonia is as others have said, was nothing short of spectacular. Even though I have darker skin, the laser was perfect for me. WOW! I just left Sonia and I'm still in shock. Today was my first time every trying laser. I will NEVER go back to waxing. I have a very low tolerance for pain and I'm the world's biggest chicken. At the time I had already bought a Gilt City coupon for laser for a different area, but figured for Sonia's reasonable prices, I'd go to her for my underarms. She is clean, quick, efficient, and such a sweet woman to work with. She doesn't try to upsell you, tells you how it is and is almost prompt if not early. Sonia is very kinda, informative, and professional. I've done my legs with her for two sessions and since my first session I rarely have hair growing back. I've also got my hands done as well; I don't see hair growing back at all and if it does it is very thin. I cannot say enough good things about Sonia! I was skeptical of going here since the prices were so reasonable but I had absolutely no reason to feel that that way after I went. Sonia is very nice, honest and professional. She makes sure you are comfortable and answers any questions. Also, she will actually be honest with you and is not just trying to increase her sales when its not in your best interest! She has actually discouraged my from doing some areas based on my skin/hair type there because she knew it would not give me very good results in that area (she easily could have just taken my money for those additional areas anyways). She really truly cares about her clients and wants them to get the best outcome possible. Also, be careful with other salons/spa with groupon or other deals, they often use a lower strength on the laser so that you will come back for more sessions at the full price afterwards, but I can vouch for always getting fully effective treatments when I've seen Sonia. I think this is because this is an independent business and isn't limited by a bigger salons overhead/policies. Most importantly, IT REALLY WORKS.
