But when my BF showed me this, I couldn't help but laugh and I thought of Yelp. A quarter of a slice of processed cheese? I guess that's how they keep prices low? Or did they run out of govt cheese? If you're a trucker or traveling with one, avoid this Pilot in Tucson…read more I was with my boyfriend when an employee named Isaac came up to him out of nowhere and told him he had to leave , with zero explanation. No warning, no conversation, nothing. Just attitude and rudeness like he owned the place. When my boyfriend calmly asked why, Isaac kept repeating "because I said so." That is not how you treat customers, especially people who come in every day on long hauls. We both felt uncomfortable and disrespected, and the fact that nobody else stepped in to explain anything made it even worse. If this is how they handle guests, I'm honestly shocked the place is still running. Pilot needs to retrain their staff immediately because this was embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary.

So, I realized I had a large bill to break and planned to hit bank after gas to break it up for lunch today. Thought- why not ask this gentleman taking my cash for gas instead? Went up there and asked him if I put gas in- it should be at least $20- would he have the change or do I need to use credit?! He kinda had the look of someone who was never asked this before- he did tell me "you know that most people do not ask and just assume that we always have the change? At least 1of 4 people just hand over large bills and never ask first. Thank you for asking! Very kind of you. Just being kind and understanding toward each other. Thank you nice older gas station guy- appreciate you!

I live 2 hours from Tucson and drove down for the day for work. On my way home, my battery died on…read morethe freeway. I managed to get off the road and pull into the nearest gas station. I Googled the nearest mechanic and Desert Auto Doctor came up. I gave John a call and he immediately headed out to my car to see what the issue was. After hooking up my car, he discovered the issue was the alternator. The battery would not charge long enough to drive to his shop, so he removed the battery out of the car, took it back to charge it, and brought it back to install. He also replaced a fuse at no cost. I decided to go to PepBoys for a new alternator (where they charged an arm an a leg!) because if anything were to go wrong, there is one nearby my house 2 hours away. Instead of John just leaving, we drove 4.5 miles out of his way, on his own time, to make sure I got there safely. John is amazing! The most honest mechanic that I have met, as well as very nice and caring. He went above and beyond! If you are local, I suggest you make Desert Auto Doctor your regular mechanic!
