Grown men (see the pictures) are swimming in their normal outside clothes. One man was wearing a full on button snap shirt, he looked like he was going to dinner after. There was one in jean shorts that I could not get a picture of. A lot of children are just wearing their underwear. I also saw a man, one day in underwear. These things are odd and gross and I personally think at a pool this nice should be enforced. The rules are very clearly stated on the front when you pay.

Nice baseball, soccer, and softball fields and general grassy areas. You can book the fields in advance for private games or for more recreational, group sports and there are bright lights in the evening to light up the fields (necessary when the day is 102!). No picnic tables or very much shade though, so probably not the best for just hanging out.

We've been to this playground a few times and the kiddos have a good time! I think there is enough equipment to keep the kids busy. I like that there is rubber ground cover on most of the playground. Some also has the wood chips. This playground is nestled in a sports complex so I am sure it would be great for other siblings not playing sports. All in all, a nice playground. We'll be back.

Miracle play equipment includes: 1 big slide, 1 little slide, 2 big kid swings, 2 baby swings, 1 saucer swing, a couple climbing ladders, those "weird 3 ball climbing thingies" and a "cat walk" type thing. I do like that the playground has that squishy rubber ground cover in case of falls. There are also some workout equipment for adults including an arm press, rowing machine, leg press and a "gazelle" type thing. A decent-sized walking track goes around the area as well. Not sure how long this park has been around but it appears that it used to have a bunch of trees here but the empty open squares throughout the concrete leads me to believe many of the trees died. 2 picnic tables and numerous benches are here as well. There is an older single soccer field here as well. Only 1 goal remains which leads me to believe they don't play real games here. A youth soccer team was practicing while my kids played on the playground. Usually there is no one here when we come. All in all, a decent playground to mix it up. Not the greatest but I like that it's usually just to ourselves.

If you're looking for real dive instruction and unforgettable scuba travel, Desert Reef Outfitters…read moreis the standard -- not just in West Texas, but anywhere I've dived. This isn't a "check-the-box" dive shop. The instructors here actually teach. They take the time to build confidence, solid fundamentals, and real-world skills -- whether you're brand new, continuing your training, or just want to be a better diver. Safety is never rushed, questions are always welcomed, and every student is treated like they matter (because they do). Training locations like Balmorhea / San Solomon Springs are used the right way -- not just to get certified, but to build comfort, buoyancy, awareness, and calm underwater. You can tell immediately that the focus is on producing capable, confident divers, not just issuing cards. Where Desert Reef really shines is community and travel. The shop attracts great people, and the trips are incredibly well run -- from logistics to dive planning to surface intervals full of laughs and stories. Whether it's a local weekend dive or a bucket-list destination, you feel supported, prepared, and part of the group the entire time. They're also phenomenal with families, youth divers, and anxious students. Patience, encouragement, and professionalism are the norm here -- not the exception. Bottom line: If you want top-tier instruction, a welcoming dive family, and scuba trips that actually deliver, Desert Reef Outfitters is the shop you want in your corner. I trust them with my dives, my family, and my travel -- and that says everything.

This Dive Shop is, by far. one of the most professional shops I've had the pleasure of going to. The instructor, John, is a former military diver with over 20 years of experience. He brings knowledge and professionalism that very few locations offer. The patience with new students is amazing. I personally witnessed him teach a new diver who had an extreme fear of water, due to a near drowning in his youth, and coach him to be a highly skilled diver who is now working his way up the ladder. His staff of Divemasters are all highly qualified and very motivated and his sales personnel are extremely knowledgeable in every piece of gear in their store. They dive a minimum of three times a month, not just for students but for former students who want to maintain their proficiency or even to learn new skills. They always have something going on, to include dive trips to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Come in and talk to them about the past trips (believe me, they have pictures and videos) or talk about upcoming trips. They are also a full service shop for servicing gear, DOT hydrostatic tests on cylinders, visual inspection, and air refills.

I even enjoy climbing up the main structure and going down the 2 HUGE slides! The kids appreciate that there are "different" play equipment at this playground... the wiggly/wobbly balance apparatus is really neat and the spinning "merry-go-round" is awesome! I like that there is artificial turf as a ground cover. (Not a huge fan of the wood chips under the swings... there always seems to be singing ants in wood chips). There is minimal shade here, mainly just above the large main structure. Another mother I was speaking to said she wished more playgrounds had cover/shade. There is a small pond with a dock next to the play area. That makes me a bit nervous as my middle child has no fear... I can just picture her wandering over there if I take my eyes off her for a split second! All in all, a solid playground. Hasn't been busy during any of our visits. We'll definitely be back!
