I had a FaceTime call from my daughters coach that I took, it was no louder than a conversation I'd have with my friend sitting next to me and she came over to me with her face all snarled up like a Pitbull demanding I take her off speaker, I said it's no louder than a conversation I'd have w my friend here next to me, she yells DONT ARGUE WITH ME! What a nasty person & horrible attitude to have with a CUSTOMER!!! I've NEVER ever experienced such awful, nasty, horrible customer service! This place won't be open long with that kind of behavior towards patrons! Take your money to a small business that cares about customer service and appreciates the business because they SUCK! read more

Ever wonder why there is such a problem with drunks and gambling addicts in Oregon? Go to Diamond Darcy's and you'll learn why. The last time I was there I was treated worse than I have ever experienced anywhere else for no reason. They have one bartender in particular that is perhaps one of the most pompaus people I have ever met in an establishment. The regulars are all gambling addicts with drinking problems. And they think this is a good thing..? This place should close down and allow a decent eatery to move in. One that doesn't cater to gambling addicts. It is no wonder that the quality of life in Oregon is so low and declining in quick order. This establishment contributes to that. read more

Awhile ago I came here to grab a pint while waiting for food to go from Vi Thai next door. Came in, greeted nicely by the bartender. She was super nice. Found out they had one of my favorite breweries on tap - Ninkasi (I make a conscious effort to not support mega-breweries or those who sold to one). Great price on the beer! Came again the following day and had a nice convo with the other patrons and Leo, the bartender. Now, I like to come here regularly, grab a pint or two (but only one at a time), and relax, especially after a Sunday workout. I really enjoy relaxing and meeting others...great conversations. Nice cozy spot, great prices, good assortment of spirits. Kind of wish they would carry a porter or stout from a local independent brewery...I get a little burned out on hops. read more

Diamond Darcy's is a really cool bar in Wood Village. They make great drinks, have a small wine selection and surprisingly really tasty food. During the winter, they feature a crab sandwich with clam chowder. They are both really wonderful tasting. It keeps us going back! The cheese burgers are also great. The couple that own the bar are almost always there,plus a couple of other servers that are very nice and want to please you. We really love it there! read more

More like diamond in the rough! Wow and more wow.. OK so the outside has "Lottery" on the neon sign and usually these places are divey, dicey and dark.. Not here at all. Extremely tasteful decor and very up-to-date kind of place. We only went in for a Bloody Mary as we were in there early enough that that kind of drink seemed the most appropriate. We got to talking to Darcy (yes there really is a Darcy) and she explained to us about her homemade Bloody Mary mix and how a wonderful patron had shared her personal NoPo recipe. Not only was the mix wonderful but they automatically use local pepper infused vodka. Speaking of vodkas, they must have every flavor in the world at their bar if that's your persuasion. Getting back to Darcy though. Fantastic customer service in all respects and she's quite a diamond in the rough herself. Very lovely woman by all accounts. Her husband's not too bad himself. I plan on coming back again and staying longer this next time to enjoy this secret gem. read more

This is the worst bar I've ever been too. The customers being mostly rednecks but somehow also snobs is one thing. But the workers do everything in their power to make anyone who isn't a regular feel unwelcome. I smiled and waited politely while they ignored me for several minutes while doing absolutely nothing before finally coming to me. I ordered my drink and was told "I don't know what that is" in the most RUDE tone. I explained it and was met with an eye roll and BOTH workers mocking me repeatedly for what I choose to consume..? I still had a good attitude and was spending a decent amount on drinks and quite a bit more on the machines. But no amount of kindness made it better. I was also told I couldn't use the f-word in their crappy strip mall lottery bar? I straight up LAUGHED hearing that. What a joke of an establishment. I still tipped well and was nice but I'll absolutely never be back. The whole place should be gutted. What a shame. read more

Cant say enough good things about this place. It's Super clean, Great drinks and sandwiches. Generous poker machines! Owners really take care of customers. Was so greatful that when it was 117 degrees the owners brought in extra air conditions to make customers even more comfortable. read more

I LOVE this place!!! I visited in the morning one day, when I was having kind of a sad day. The owner, he was SO nice, and made me an amazing bloody mary, even gave me some of this yummy, healthy, smoothie to sample. There was one other lady, a customer sitting at the bar, and they may not have realized it, but they really made my day a lot brighter just by their kindness and smiles. Thank you!! I really should be ashamed of myself for waiting far too long to write about my favorite haunt. Being a bartender myself, I'm extremely picky and this gem of a place deserves more than five stars, hands down. It's tough to pick the best part about this place but I have to start somewhere, right? 1. Every single bartender is impeccable in his/her own right. I'm not exactly a regular "regular" but they know what I want as soon as I walk in the door. I'm not a big drinker but I'm a bit high maintenance with my shot, no salt, three lemons, and ice water. I'm rolling my eyes, too. 2. The place is clean...super clean. 3. The decor is beautiful. Darcy has beautiful taste and it shows. 4. It's preferred that one keeps their voice down and language clean. I like that. No drama. 5. Prices are absolutely fair and reasonable given the atmosphere and quality of food and drink. 6. Be sure to catch the "Feeding Frenzy" via the exotic fish tank each night. 7. There's always something interesting to look at but not too many televisions to distract. There's even an ongoing slideshow via one set showcasing customers and their "moments." 8. Video poker is set in a somewhat private area so you don't feel like you're in a casino-like setting. However, if you want to feel that vibe, there it is. 9. It's one traffic light away from my house and upon occasion, driving many hours like I often do, it's perfectly located. read more

I recently moved to Troudale from Gresham and was initially jazzed that I would be living close to Diamond Darcy's bar, as I used to frequent there a few years back and Darcy and the gals that worked there were always so nice to me and we and some of the old regulars used to have some great conversations. I have been popping in occasionally lately and unfortunately, for me anyways, the cool vibe and cool talkative bartenders and regulars that used to make this place appealng to me are no longer there. Unless one is a part of the regular group of drunk gambling addicts that frequent here, you may have to wait awhile for a refill or bill. The average mentality of the regulars that I have met there lately since I have been going back again, is of such a nature that I came to the realization that I am quite a bit out of place there. Many of the regulars who sit at this bar now are obviously mentally challenged, which becomes quite apparent after sitting there for a bit. It is also quite obvious that they don't care much about you unless you are laying down bucks on the video lottery machines. Darcy's sister Dawn is the coolest head in there and Brandy seems to be a nice person as well, however, one of their longer term bartenders, a fellow by the name of John, is more interested in looking at his biceps in the mirror and flirting with the gay regulars that might be at the bar than providing even level kind service to everyone. See ya....sure would hate to be ya....definitely fits here. Luckily I have already found a nicer local establishment that has a better wine selection and no gambling that attracts the mentally challenged losers who frequent this place. read more

Ok... So I was sitting on my bum after work at home and my buddy texted me and said "I'm over at Diamond Darcy's, come over if you want". I've driven by the place many times and never gave it any thought. So I figured why not and headed over. I was expecting a hole in the wall dive bar but instead was suprised by a very clean and welcoming gem. My friends were playing video lotteryin the back and I grabbed a drink and joined in. Not long after being there I was greeted by the owner and offered a taste of their home made clam chowder. Personally I have never tried clam chowder before however this suff was amazing! I had just had dinner before I got there so I couldnt eat any more than the taste however I will be back next Friday which is Chowder day to scarf down a bowl. The place is a relaxing place to go unwind without a ton of people and load of noise. read more
