Full bar is available with local beers on tap and a seasonal cocktail list at the table. The menu is Irish-American pub foods. We ordered a small Caeser salad with grilled chicken and a reuben with an upgraded side salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing tasty. Plenty of croutons and cheese on there. The reuben is thankfully not grilled in a pound of grease which makes for a messy meal. Instead it is toasted. The slaw on there has a very nice vinegar note and has a crunch to it. Lots of gooey cheese and plenty of salty meat. The combination of flavors and textures is well done. If we find ourselves back in the area we will absolutely return for the vibe and the food.

Lighting, sound and the vibe of everything was fantastic. We were disappointed with the vegetarian options available for purchase inside the concert venue. An overpriced baked potato and a store brand veggie burger felt subpar compared to other food options. Unfortunately, we could not bring food from all of the pubs and bars into the concert venue so it made it a little difficult. You really have to enter 2 hours before the concert to get a good spot, meaning you are there during dinner. That being said, the concert was great. The location is fun to walk around and includes a golf course, outdoor dining, and lots of little pubs and secret spots. The food is typical for McMenamins and the art both inside and outside makes it a unique Portland experience. My favorite part of all McMenamins sites is the history for the location. The local historical society was selling a book for $5 that told the history of the site, including its days as a poor house, a jail, and lots of other stories of the past. I would love to go on a historical tour, but for now to stroll the book and walk around the property was a treat. I hope this is a short term gig for him as he was non-existent...which is what I expected. His lack of attentiveness to me was horrendous. I will not return to any McMenamins, as I stated at the beginning, service is slow, food is okay and it has become too expensive.

I appreciated the fact that Eileen made sure to have the beer I liked on ice, that they brought in some new choices and that every time I showed up - the bartenders were in a good mood. There was no bitching or whining, the Bartenders were doing their job, serving their customers. I like that. Their steak bites are bomb and if the right cook is there their nachos are layered and so worth it. This place is old Portland ... before Covid before the entitled before too tight tees before man buns KB is the place to go when you just want to hang out, without it having to be a scene.
