Beautiful flooring, built-in barre, walls of mirrors, and even some natural light all create a wonderful space for practicing your choreography or taking classes. I initially came in for a PiYo and Vino event (so fun!), and despite the trek across town, really loved the space and the energy I found here. They offer a variety of classes (ballet, tap, jazz, hiphop, ballroom, ShBam, PiYo, etc), along with private lessons and choreography, and their staff are professionally experienced dancers and teachers from Cirque, Broadway, and classical training backgrounds. Pricing is reasonable for the level of staff qualifications, and the fact that classes are small and allow for individualized attention. Their unlimited monthly membership is the best deal, but drop in classes range from $12-15, which isn't too bad. Rawlins, Kristen, and Shanta are among their great instructors.

Over time, however, our daughter began sharing concerns about her experiences. As parents, we made an effort to follow up appropriately by emailing, and to their credit, we did receive timely responses. Most recently, we reached out regarding ongoing concerns about a staff member whose classroom behavior and treatment of students had been mentioned negatively on multiple occasions. Our daughter reported being yelled at and spoken down to, which prompted us to request a meeting with both the owner and the staff member to address the issue directly. Unfortunately, once the staff member became aware of the meeting, he began posting about parents on social media in a way that felt inappropriate and unprofessional. This only added to our concerns. The meeting itself did not go well. We were met with a level of unprofessionalism, immaturity, and smugness that was disappointing, especially in an environment meant to support children. Competitive dance is a significant investment, and it should be a space that builds confidence and nurtures joy--not diminishes it. What was most concerning was the owner's stated support of the staff member's behavior. While she presents herself as professional, supporting conduct that negatively impacts students sends the wrong message. If you're not part of the solution, you become part of the problem. This was our experience when trying to address concerns at this studio.

But nothing really clicked until she found Dance and Aerial Addiction. A studio previously occupied the same location with a similar name, but now the space has a fresh start under new ownership with Ms. Lana. She's an America's Got Talent alum and a headlining Las Vegas performer who came to the U.S. from Ukraine not only to live the American Dream, but to earn it through dedication and hard work. She now runs an incredible studio with professionalism, discipline, and heart. The moment our daughter left the floor and took to the air on hoops, silks, ropes, and trapeze, everything clicked. She found her passion, her extracurricular exercise, and a place where she loves learning. And as an added bonus, the recitals are thrilling. Instead of the usual long, boring, mundane dance performances, these feel like a mini circus, with kids flying through the air and performing impressive aerial routines that keep you on the edge of your seat. PHENOMENAL. The Studio Owner ? AMAZING. The vibes? EVERYONE IS WELCOME! I could not say enough nice things about this studio. My child is on the Spectrum and it's been challenging finding a studio that will not only accept her but also really work with her to achieve her goals. Rather than say she "can't" Ms.Lana , Ms.Alisia, Ms.Jamie and rest of the staff have poured love into my daughter and it's pretty great. The ladies at reception told me Jazz Funk might be too difficult and to come back to Angelo's Beg Jazz class, which I did. They have no clue where I live--I could be driving many miles, yet nowhere is it stated or posted, and no one bothered to tell me, that this teacher requires everyone to be vaccinated. I did not appreciate the wasted time or gas, for starters, when I went back the second time. Secondly, my medical history is NOBODY"S business but mine and my doctor's. I might have a medical problem that keeps me from being vaccinated. Those reasons are private. So me, and people like me, are to be excluded from businesses? I don't think so. I'm writing to the Attorney General's office and I'm going to contact a civil law attorney. I'm going to file with the AG on the basis of age discrimination and on a violation of the Americans With Disability Act. As soon as we lay down for this BS at places like BS, you will soon find yourself excluded from employment, business, pleasure, etc, etc for some other reason. Whatever reason might please these people, or whoever happens to be in power.

I came to the dance center last night not for dancing lessons but for a play about domestic…read moreviolence. This spot was converted from a dance studio to a performance spot by placing chairs in a semicircle facing some chairs for the actors and a keyboard. The show was called Domestic Violence the Musical? and it's been performed at military bases and posts addressing this problem which is more common than we'd care to admit. The music was re-written for the Las Vegas premiere of the show. The small cast with both a male and female abuser performed the play spectacularly. After, there was a 15 minute Q&A and the audience had a chance to ask questions about domestic violence, where the idea came from. While not reviewing the Dance Center itself, I can say it was a very clean and modern space with hardwood floors. I am sure they are good with people other than me.
