We weren't comfortable going in the studio just yet, but we still wanted her to get that training in. Luckily I found CSLV and was instantly drawn to them because: 1. They offered zoom classes, no pressure to go in studio 2. Their fees were so affordable - SO AFFORDABLE The hiphop class that she took via zoom was perfect. She enjoyed it so much! I loved how the instructor always checked in with those on zoom vs just focusing on those in class. Once we were ready to go back in studio, we were welcomed with open arms. I can see that baby girl has improved tremendously in her dancing skills. She is more aware of her counts which is a huge. She's been dancing Ori Tahiti since she was 3 and she usually rushes thru the choreo. But now she takes her time and is a lot more aware of her counts and moves. Huge thank you to her instructors at CSLV for helping her with that and just helping her be a better well rounded dancer. In the short amount of time we've been with them, baby girl has already done a video shoot, they're working on their next video shoot now, and hopefully will be performing live the end of the year (assuming things start opening up). That is a lot more than what she did at her previous dance studio and she was dancing there for almost the same amount of time. So if you are looking for a studio to get your kids to dance with, I highly recommend Culture Shock. The instructors are great and always willing to accommodate, if they can make it work. They're a non profit organization, so they're not out here trying to get all your money. They are definitely working for the kids and I love that. I mean, I live all the way in the northwest part of town and we drive down to them weekly. Love that we're part of the CS family!

Great little studio. Two rooms available. Missy is a great instructor with lots of experience.read more

I decided to purchase the deal. I called to reserve the Burlesque/Strip tease class. It's on Sunday at 3pm but found out later that could change. It is located on Arts District on E. Charleston and S. 3rd St. You have to call to reserve the class but you can pay online. Currently the rates are as follows- Drop in: $20 5 Class Card: $100 10 Class Card: $175 20 Class Card: $350 Privates: Dance- $50 per hour, Reformer & Cadillac- $75 per hour, Reformer Duet- $100 per hour. They have free parking. The place is small and I like the paintings on the wall. The teacher is Allie and she is friendly. I was the only one there so it was like a private lesson. I was told I can vdo so I can practice at home. I had a fun time.

She is extremely well-educated and, though small, the studio attracts the best talent. I have seen her shows and been side-by-side with her on stage several times. She is an amazing instructor, a pillar of the community, and a true class act. As for the awful accusations, I wish that Yelp allowed replies, because these are examples of libel, pure and simple. These two "women" should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. One of the "offended" even lied about where it took place. It was at a farmer's market, and the owner of the shave ice place that LIED about this incident on Facebook was fired for his lie. Fauna, the dog in question, is the most coddled, well-cared-for dog alive. She is part of the studio and would NEVER --- and I mean NEVER --- be left alone inside a hot car under any circumstances. You will notice that the two people who complained somehow managed to take identical pictures. You will also notice that Fauna was in no distress. That's because the AC was blasting. In fact, given the hot weather that day, Fauna was in the coolest, safest place she could have been for the very short time that she was there. One more thing. IF this were true, anyone with a brain knows that the dog would not have survived temperatures like that for even a short time. Fauna is alive, well, and as sweet as ever here in November. Please, do not leave pets or children in hot cars without the AC blasting. And, please, do not LIE about things just to get attention. You can hurt people who do not deserve it and you only make yourself look like a jerk (assuming you do not get sued).

It is amazing to see how far this school has come. I feel that the skills I learned from attending this school from 2nd grade through middle school have carried with me until this day. My reading and writing skills are strong and this school truly prepared me for college. As an adult now, I read quite often for fun. This academy truly focuses on a classical education, which is not a focus in public schools today. Scholars learn cursive and multiplication/division starting in second grade. These skills stay with them for the remainder of their schooling. This academy does a nice job focusing on building the skills they've learned brick by brick each school year. Now as an adult, I hope to send my own children here one day so that they can experience the same type of educational experience I had in my childhood. American Heritage Academy has a warm, friendly feeling the moment you walk in. Scholars are beyond excited to come in each day and see their classmates and teachers. It is a school that is rigorous, but students look forward to coming each day because of the special, nurturing environment this school provides. It is a very family friendly school, and you can be as involved as you wish to be in your child's education.
