*This is only for the Horseback Riding*…read more Spent a great time horseback riding on this farm with a great view of the Grand Teton. This place was pretty busy, so we had to wait a bit for our group to go in. We got a group with one other group and an individual, and they were both so nice. When you get there, you just need to sign a waiver and wait on the stand where they have dogs and also a cat. They let you know the name of your horse, and there is a satchel to keep your stuff if needed. The staff were all really nice and patient, answering any questions you may have before you go off with your leader. My friend even had the fastest horse they have at that ranch! Be warned that the horses will poop and pee whenever and wherever. It truly was a sight to see. The ride was 90 minutes but a little more, as some of the horses kept going off path (Candy ), but it was nice and calming. A great experience with great views, even with the rain, that I definitely recommend.

I loved staying here, it is by no means a four star luxury hotel…read more The staff was kind and courteous, they weee very straight forward with the type of sleeping accommodations that were available. We contacted them in advance they forwarded us there were no fires. They strongly suggested that we have our own sleeping bags and pillows to stay in the teepees.

Avoid this place at all costs - a disappointing and concerning experience…read more We honestly cannot understand how this place has so many positive reviews. If you care even a little about animal welfare, you will immediately notice that something feels wrong when you arrive. This place feels like a tourist machine rather than an authentic ranch experience. Dozens of horses are lined up, already saddled, and spend the day tied up waiting for the next group. There are no real pastures around. The horses that are not tied are kept in small pens, with no grass and far too many horses in a limited space. As an experienced rider, I was extremely disappointed by the ride itself. We paid $260 for an experience that was advertised on their website as a way to see wildlife. This was the main reason we chose this company. After only five minutes on horseback, I asked our guide what animals we might have the chance to see. His answer was very honest but incredibly disappointing: he told us we would probably see nothing because the trails are used dozens of times every day and animals avoid the area. Ironically, we saw a moose and a weasel less than a mile from the ranch on the road. The "Big View Grand Teton" ride ($140 per person) is honestly just a basic out-and-back trail. You start in a completely flat open area, then do a short climb through the forest to reach a mediocre viewpoint, before going back down through almost the exact same scenery. The entire ride is at a walk. No one asked about our riding experience; horses were simply assigned when we arrived based on our height. Of course, the whole ride was at a slow walk, which made the experience incredibly boring for anyone who actually knows how to ride. For the price, the scenery was not memorable, the experience was not authentic, and the promise of seeing wildlife was completely misleading. If you are looking for a true Western horseback experience, go somewhere else. Stay at a real ranch for a night or more, and you will have the opportunity to ride for several hours through much more beautiful and varied landscapes, while supporting places where horses have a better quality of life. This place was a huge disappointment and, in our opinion, not representative of what a real ranch experience should be. It is truly a shame to see that, in 2026, some establishments are still treating horses this way. These animals deserve much better than being treated as a simple tourist attraction.

The horses we were on were Big Kent and Big Tex- both were great and they did well for us and we ( experienced riders) loved it that we actually had to ride them. Horses are nice and fat/healthy. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area

They are the ONLY horseback riding with permits to enter Tetons and Yellowstone . Other Yellowstone horseback riding is through xantera or whatever the main Yellowstone commercial Company that manages all the hotels/restaurants/staff for general stores, very Disneyland/commercial. Wilderness Trails is family owned, rural, one of a kind. We felt like a family on the prairie. They literally plop horse corrals and tents and cooking station in the middle of grand Tetons and Yellowstone on a meadow/prairie like plot of land. All the staff live there in tents and some campers and so you basically join "their family" and live that life. They had a professional chef that came from a Michilin Star restaurant (he was not technically a Michilin chef) but food was amazing and so well Done! We got to eat with our horse wranglers and the chef and felt like part of their family. They all had their own dog and my kids had so much fun running around with all The doggies:) they had a warm outdoor like shower and you are in the middle of nature bathing amd my daughter said it was the best shower of her life! It was my 7 year olds first time horseback riding and she did just fine! My other kids were 10 and 12-they wanted to "live there" and asked if we could have their bday parties there. Was worth every penny! Wish we planned to stay longer
