They have museum exhibits, gift shop, restrooms and a ranger information desk. Parking lot is rather large, plus street parking available. The best part was the elk refuge overlook in the back of the building. You access it from upstairs inside. Overall we enjoyed our time here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

A special shout out though for the staff member at the counter who was phenomenal in his advice for things to do (and not do) in Jackson Hold, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone -- some of which were hidden treasures that seemed to have been customized to the interests of the specific visitors. (Sorry, we forgot his name but he has been living in the Jackson Hole area for about 7 years, originally from Wisconsin). For instance, he suggested areas where we might find wildlife, and we did indeed see pronghorn antelopes, elk, and herds of bison. And, at his advice, we took Lake Butte Road up to an overview to get a stunning view of Lake Yellowstone in late afternoon. While there, everyone atop was abuzz with the news that traffic was currently delayed by rangers a few miles ahead to allow a grizzly bear to cross the road. (We did see the bear but it but were too far away for a photo).

The JH Cinema (aka Twin Cinema) is a great spot for enjoying flicks. It features state-of-the-art, all-digital projection systems and giant, wall-to-wall screens for a perfect (big) picture. The place claims on their website to have the "world's best popcorn" with real butter. Located conveniently just 3.5 blocks from the Town Square at the corner of Pearl and Jackson Streets, I have to give the JH Cinema the vaunted 5 YELP STARS for just being there in case of need. And also running first-run movies right when they come out & offering discounted matinee pricing. (see photos)

There were at least 100 brochures displayed at the National Museum of Wildlife Art near Jackson. The brochure listed the galleries address and hours. My friend and I drove out of our way to find this gallery...I collect blown glass and it is hard to find. We arrived and a man walked up and asked did he miss my call. I told him that the brochure didn't indicate that I should call first. He told me he was in the middle of something, he was spray painting a bbq grill, and that his gallery smelled because he was heating his $15,000 kiln. He was rude and obviously put off by our appearance. I left empty handed never seeing a single piece of glass with $9,000 still in my pocket. Had he welcomed me, and IF the glass was as spectacular as the photos in the brochure, I have no doubt he would have had every dollar in my pocket. I was surprised by his rudeness and sad that I left empty handed. From here on if I happen upon blown glass in the northwest I will insure that it is not from this gallery before purchasing.

He walked us through the different pieces, explained about his and Laurie's process and was very friendly and helpful. Although I would have liked to buy 5 or 6 of their absolutely stunning pieces, I did leave with one beautiful vase. I hope to return in the future to buy more. Dan and Laurie's work is absolutely incredible. I have glass from other well known artists but I found their work particularly unique. If you love glass, do yourself a favor and visit the studio ((just make sure to call first)!
