Incredible Sunset Wildlife Expedition!…read more We had the BEST time on our Wildlife Expedition (Sunset Tour) in Jackson Hole! From start to finish, everything was smooth, scenic, and unforgettable. Our guide, Mike, was absolutely fantastic... helpful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Mike had an amazing eye for spotting animals and made sure we never missed a moment. The stop at Jackson Lake was particularly breathtaking. Mike shared so many interesting facts about the wildlife, local ecology, and the area's history that it felt like a mix of a tour, a nature documentary, and hanging out with a super friendly local. The pace was comfortable, the vehicle was clean and warm, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and well-planned. Whether you're a first-timer in Jackson Hole or a returning visitor, this tour is 100% worth it. Highly recommend... and if you can, ask for Mike!

A special shout out though for the staff member at the counter who was phenomenal in his advice for things to do (and not do) in Jackson Hold, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone -- some of which were hidden treasures that seemed to have been customized to the interests of the specific visitors. (Sorry, we forgot his name but he has been living in the Jackson Hole area for about 7 years, originally from Wisconsin). For instance, he suggested areas where we might find wildlife, and we did indeed see pronghorn antelopes, elk, and herds of bison. And, at his advice, we took Lake Butte Road up to an overview to get a stunning view of Lake Yellowstone in late afternoon. While there, everyone atop was abuzz with the news that traffic was currently delayed by rangers a few miles ahead to allow a grizzly bear to cross the road. (We did see the bear but it but were too far away for a photo).
