We went to the Jackson Hole Rodeo while visiting Jackson, WY. It was a really nice family outing with authentic cowboys. They had a nice announcer who told silly joke and kept the audience entertained. They had different rodeo events and one of the riding events featured girls who were under 15 or 16 and they were really talented. They had to race their horse around barrels and not k kick over the barrels. There are limited options for food but we had hot dogs that night. It was really fun and a "must do" if you're in the Jackson Hole area. Buy tickets o line in advance so you can make sure you have good seats. That's what we did. read more

There was no where to sit and for the price paid it's not worth it. The lady that was speaking to me was completely rude and talked to me like an idiot basically saying it was our fault for getting there at 730. NO - just don't over sell plain and simple no need to be greedy. How is it ok for us to spend 566 on tickets to not have seats. She said there was seating when we clearly checked and there wasn't. If you are visiting Jackson hole don't waste your money it's really not worth it and to be blamed for showing up late for tickets that were clearly sold to us is a complete BS. I've seen a lot of negative reviews involving this rodeo, but coming from someone who has been to large scale events such as the Houston Rodeo, I was thoroughly entertained. It sounds like the events vary night to night based on what athletes enter so don't expect every single event you would normally see. For instance, 8/16 seemed to have a lot of bull riders compared to saddle/bareback bronc and then a good amount of team ropers. They have pee wee events and we thought that was unique to this rodeo and we loved it. If in the area again I will attend again! Make sure to get your tickets early as we tried the night before for a different date and they were sold out. read more

DISAPPOINTED Let me start by saying we are from Texas, been to a lot of rodeos, both Nationally and super local small town stuff. This JH Rodeo was by far the biggest scam of a rodeo I've ever seen. At $38-$50 ticket per person I was expecting at least some sort of competition. Not only we're the cowboys super young and seriously inexperienced- one of the riders had ridden a bull 3 times, but the actual bucking broncs and bulls were embarrassing. Out of the shoot and nothing. Left out of there thinking that was a serious money grab. Come on, you can do better. read more

Buy tickets ahead and get there early to get general admission seats. There is a hat stand at the rodeo to get in the rodeo spirit. Alcohol stand and food/soda stands. One of the best rodeos I've ever been to. I've been going to rodeos my entire life, probably been to over 75 and this one was amazing. It even topped some of the PBR's I've been too. There was always action, and no corny clowns. The facility was very nice, and the staff was beyond nice. Would def recommend. read more

OK rodeo. A bit odd order they do the events. In my 40 years of going to rodeo I had never seen bull riding done as the first event. They also don't do all the events of a typical rodeo. I assume as most of the guest are city folk. Seats are very close to each other. Price is fine for the rodeo. Free parking. Easy entry. I would eat else where. If you are in the area and looking for something to do it is a fine rodeo. Having been to hundred of rodeos it was just a bit odd but something to do. All seats are fine. Beware the lack of support or service. I purchased 6 tickets for family, 2 of which needed cancellation due to covid. I called to cancel only to get a voicemail box that was full. Showing up in person also did not help. I was directed to leave a voicemail to request a cancellation. HELLO?? How can I leave a voicemail? Also what box office can't process a simple cancellation in person??? After multiple attempts, I finally reached a person 3 WEEKS later, who had the audacity to tell me that I requested cancellation too late. To make matters worse, this person was inconsistent with the cancellation policy and proceed to quote me a policy from a different business. Talk about shady business practices. I advise all to avoid purchasing tickets online to avoid the same fate. read more

I would put zero stars on this company but that's not an option. My very good friends we have been traveling with the past 20+days were so excited to attend your event. They had a wonderful time except for one major issue. When calling out the states from where visitors are from .. we are proudly from California. Your announcer stated "welcome to America". Being that we came to your state to spend a lot of money we don't mind spending ... because WE CAN!! It's disturbing and offensive to hear that from fellow "Americans". I proudly served 30 years in the Army, I'm an immigrant and I pay taxes to include the federal taxes that support your National Parks. Rather than making rude comments, a thank you for visiting our State would have been appreciated. I'm glad I didn't go... as there were no more avail seats but if I was there I would have left and called my bank to take my payment back! Thank you for nothing! read more

good for folks who have never been to a rodeo. it's for the tourists put on 3 nights week. second time we attended was boring with same schtiks and jokes. was a bit disorganized with announcer doing too much. sheep scatter with kids under 10 was too much time getting over 100 kids in and out of the arena to chase 3 sheep. read more

Horrible rodeo They charged professional prices for high school level rodeo. We paid for reserved seats but when we arrived only a few minutes before it started they had already seated someone else in our seats and said it was because of COVID and we were late. Where we come from reserved is reserved COVID or no COVID. They acted like it was there first rodeo when we tried to get to our seats. We were passed on four times to different people before they could even get us close to our so called reserved seats. I would never recommend this place and will not ever come back. This was a fun beginner rodeo. Very pro America and began with prayer which was nice. Had a lot of high school participants and some very young 'ins too. Covered seating gave great view of the gates and all the entertainment. Would definitely go again. read more

If you're from a rodeo town, don't waste your time with this one, calf rope events were like 20 second times haha I think it's just high school kids practicing. Which it's still fun to have a beer and watch. Most people there were first time rodeo goers and they enjoyed it. But for the price I paid for this, in Utah I could go to a professionals rodeo and have excellent seats. read more

For a first time.rodeo it was fine. Amazing to see more than 80 percent of the spectators were also first time viewers so it says alot about the rodeo. They had bull and bronc riding as well as timing and barrell races. Couole events for little kids was nice to see. Kids in the audience also got to participate running down 3 sheep to get a bandana off their neck. Nice way to get them off their seats. When in Rome... We aren't rodeo people so I can't say how this compares to others but it was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a Saturday night watching something we don't get to see much of in New England. The night we were there they had bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and bronco riding. If you're looking for something to do on a nice evening that isn't eating and drinking this would be an option. They have a generous veterans discount which was very appreciated. read more

We went to the rodeo last week and were very surprised by how disappointing it was on all fronts. First, we showed up at 7:45 for the 8:00 rodeo only to find out that the rodeo started at 7:00 that day instead of 8. It's not like we were the only people who were under the impression that the rodeo started at 8-- there were about 30 people in line all of whom were surprised as because the website said 8:00. Anyway, the really rather nasty woman in the ticket booth said that we were all wrong, that the website said 7 and that we were just wrong. Period. HOWEVER, the rodeo would go on until "at least" 9:30, so there would be plenty of rodeo to see. We all paid out $18 admission and headed in. Shockingly, the rodeo ended at 8:25. In other words, 1 hour and 5 minutes shorter than promised. When the angry mob tried to demand our money back, the security guard pointed us in the direction of a ticket booth where the manager (the same nasty woman) was stationed. It seems that she was overcome by angry customers and locked herself in the ticket booth. Needless to say, nobody got their money back. About the 35 minutes of rodeo that we did see... imagine getting all of your buddies together and trying to put on a back yard rodeo. That's about the quality of the "cowboys" at the Jackson Hole Rodeo. Nobody seemed to have any particular talent at all. Nobody did anything impressive-- other than run away from bucking bulls. For the most part the "cowboys" all missed their targets when roping and failed at their various tasks. Basically, they sucked. The most entertaining part was when they turned every child in the arena loose on 3 poor calves with ribbons tied to their tails. It was horrifyingly hilarious and I'm shocked that the calves didn't trample any of the small children. All in all, it's a gigantic waste of time and money. Don't bother. read more

Unless it is your first rodeo do not waste your time nor money. Raised around rodeo my whole life and showing up to see the Jackson Hole Rodeo I was extremely disappointed and disgusted. The stock was poor. The contestants were either old men or young amateurs. Extremely disappointed we left with our 3 year old, 5 year old and small infant stopped by the ticket office to ask for a small refund perhaps half of our $70 to only be treated like dirt. The lady "owned" the stock and was completely awful to us. Very defensively explained to my husband that the stock is her/husband's life and they are buying a new car. Really valid point as to why we shouldn't be refunded? Not only did we leave without being refunded anything but not a single good thing to say about Jackson Hole Rodeo! read more

I found the Jackson Hole Rodeo to be a great entertainment value. The rodeo lasted for 2 hours and 15 minutes and covered general admission tickets are $18. Everyone working there was very pleasant. While there are some events involving children the majority of the rodeo was typical adult competitions such as bull riding and barrel racing. The seating is bleacher style but I found it to be reasonably comfortable. A good way to entertain the family. read more

The rodeo is a fun alternative to spending a night eating and drinking but it's equally expensive. Tickets were $25 each (you can save $5 by purchasing online) but the entertainment was pretty good. Definitely a small town rodeo and super touristy with LOTS of children but a whole host of events to keep you entertained, including the sheep scramble where the kids can go and wrangle sheep for a prize. The announcer was great and hilarious but clearly some of the more...let's say liberal people...were offended by his jokes. They kept the show moving which was nice so it wasn't a late night. read more

Waste of time and money. If you enjoy having the chance to see children under 13 years old get stomped by a horse or bull, and then have to sit through 20 minutes of non-action while they tend to them then have your fill. I also see today that Brandon W of the Jackson Hole Rodeo wants to try and attack me personally. Seems to me you don't care what a resident has to say about them. And yes I was upset the locals discount didn't apply to my visiting "family" which is what they claim to be as an organization. read more

I'm sure this is not the best rodeo on the planet, but we had a fun time. If you order tickets online you save $5/ticket. We ordered online the same day so it was $15 for kids and $20 for adults general admission (not covered). I agree with the other reviews that hardly anyone could stay on the bull (they were qualifying bull rides that did not last 8 seconds because there were so few...) but there were still some impressive rides. The junior events were cool. Yes it's touristy but kids pretty universally will enjoy a rodeo and it's a great addition to a camping vacation in the parks! read more

My family had lots of fun. The kids enjoyed seeing the youth bull riding division, and had fun with hundreds of other kids running after the sheep in between events. The barrel racing was great! read more
