My fiancé and I came to the Diamond Cellar for their Wedding Band event. We didn't know we needed to make an appointment, so we showed up, got sized, and was told to wait around for a sales associate to get us and show us around. Waited for over an hour and not one sales associate had the decency to look us in the eye and say hello. One vendor representative showed us a couple of rings (after we had been waiting for 45 minutes) and he was great, but was constantly interrupted by other Diamond Cellar sales associates asking for his help, and even interrupting us while we tried to talk to the vendor representative. Again, they wouldn't even look us in the eye. How humiliating! I understand it was a busy day, but to not even be acknowledged by the Diamond Cellars team at any point is beyond frustrating. My girlfriend and I spent the whole Sunday afternoon shopping for engagement rings so I could get an idea of what she likes. I'm sure it's not true for every sales person who works here, but the guy that we spoke to was such a sleaze bag jerk to me that we walked out. My girlfriend and I were discussing which rings she loved, liked, and didn't like. The salesman then butted his way into our private convo and told me that I "need to ease up and let her figure it out on her own. She'll tell you what she loves when she see's it!" I have never been more offended and belittled in my life. We had an amazing experience at Diamond Cellar picking out my engagement ring and are excited to come back and work with them for our wedding bands as well. We worked with Daniel throughout the entire process. We were very upfront about our budget (which wasn't). However, that did not change anyone's attitude when working with us. The initial meeting we had with Daniel, he spent over 2 hours explaining to us about the different suppliers they had and what makes a diamond truly exceptional. We were both touched at his thoroughness and patience while working with us. We never felt discriminated because we looked younger which some other jewelers definitely made us feel. We also felt that Daniel was very honest with us when we were reviewing what diamond and setting to purchase. He did not try to pressure us into buying a ring quickly and definitely respected our timeline. At our second visit with Diamond Cellar, I decided on the kind of diamond I wanted but they did not have any diamond in-stock that matched. I've always had a great experience at the Diamond Cellar. I was first introduced when my wedding planner recommended them to make my wedding ring, my husband bought my engagement ring at Grandview Mercantile and it didn't have a matching band. Jon Smith did an amazing job creating a ring that matched perfectly. I made the mistake of taking my rings to another jeweler when I was pregnant and needed to get my ring resized, the band was too thin and started to bend. So I went recently to the diamond cellar to have them fix the bend and bind my rings together. As soon as I walked in a was immediately greeted by a nice girl at the front counter who asked how she could assist me. She said she would get someone with me right away and she delivered. Unfortunately I don't remember anyone's name but very nice women helped me and got me all set up and said for a little extra money they could have it ready by 5 that afternoon. She called me at 3pm and I went with my 3 year old in tow to pick it up. I was worried about taking my son in there but they were so great with him. The security guard gave him a sticker and the employee was so easy going. Sometimes places that fancy can be intimidating but they are so nice to everyone. I once went in there to get some jewelry cleaned, free of charge, and I was a hot mess, no make up, work out clothes, and they treated me no different than anyone else. We'll definitely be using the diamond cellar from here on out. Oh I almost forgot another time I went there to get a small necklace for my niece engraved, didn't even purchase it at DC. This is after taking it to three other places that didn't have the machine small enough to do it. And they did it no problem. BUYER BEWARE: Ordered an engagement ring on November 11 and was told that it would take 3 weeks to make the custom ring. I thought this would be more than enough time before a Christmas engagement, but the ring didn't come in until the day I was looking to propose, which was 6 weeks after placing the order. I called numerous time after the 3 week mark and each time they assured me it would be just another couple of days. It seems that they do not have good communication with their suppliers. When I eventually showed up to pick up the ring, they tried to CHARGE ME $500 MORE. They were insisting that was the price. Thank God that I had their quote and the receipt for my deposit I made 6 weeks earlier. They eventually honored it, but the whole experience definitely felt like I was being taken advantage of. The salesmen that I was speaking with on the phone was very friendly and understanding, but he wasn't there when I picked it up. The guy I picked it up from was a jerk. Well the Diamond Cellar made me nervous when I was searching for places to buy watches in Columbus online. I walked in expecting to be attacked by rude sales associates that would try to pressure me in to something I didn't want. I walked in and was surprised at the greeting I received, it was truly a relief. The Sales rep that helped me out was Kim and spent probably 1-2 hours with me. She was suggesting watches that were within the budget that I was looking to spend and was recommending watches based upon the styles I liked. All in all, I had a great experience and walked out with the two watches that I'm sure I will enjoy for years to come. I wish I could remember the other associates name, but he was friendly as well and walked me through all the functions of the watches and made sure I understood how to operate them before I walked out the door. Jeffrey Desilets was fantastic! I had a Tacori wedding band - damaged beyond repair. I hadn't bought from Diamond Cellar - my original point of purchase went under. Came to the Diamond Cellar for the in-store repair ability. Jeffrey quickly got me answers within a few minutes - too much damage for in-store repair BUT arranged for the ring to be sent back to Japan for possible repair. No cost to me at this point-none. Tacori quickly communicated and Jeffrey communicated back to me. New ring would be manufactured to recreate my original - Based on original purchase information I provided. Throughout the entire process - Jeffrey communicated with me on a prompt and regular basis. He worked out a fantastic price for me from Tacori. I would like to say that I have never previously written a review, however as a result of my wonderful experience at Diamond Cellar and specifically with Daniel Gordon I feel compelled to do so. Approximately six months ago I became extremely interested in acquiring a very limited Patek Phillipe watch. On 12-31-2018 I called the closest authorized dealer of Patek, Diamond Cellar, located two hours away and was connected to Daniel Gordon the store manger. I was a complete stranger calling from another city on New Year's Eve to inquire about a specific Patek reference number desired every Patek enthusiast in the world. I instantly heard a voice on the other end that I immediately could tell was genuinely sincere. Daniel could have spoken with me for minutes and told me to call back after the New Year, however he spent close to an hour talking speaking with me as if I were a long time customer. Over the next few months I bombarded Daniel with emails and phone calls all met with polite well thought out answers backed by his encyclopedic knowledge of Patek. I explained to Daniel that the watch that Diamond Cellar didn't have could be purchased from numerous online sites at a 35-50% mark up but at least one could own the watch. Daniel recommended against doing so for many reasons the most important being that these sellers were not Patek AD. He stated that he had no way of knowing if Diamond Cellar would ever receive the watch I desired but advised me to remain patient and visit Diamond Cellar. In February(2 months after my initial call) I visited Dimond Cellar with a family member and spent most of the day talking to Daniel, meeting the president of Diamond Cellar, receiving a personal tour, and trying on various watches. Everyone at DC made us feel at ease and welcomed. There was not a trace of haughtiness or pressure to make a purchase. Everyone was genuine. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous Patek model that was soon to be discontinued. This was not the watch I had originally sought, however it was absolutely gorgeous in it's own right. After leaving the store and beginning our long drive home, my brother and I discussed our impressions of DC and Daniel. We both felt that Daniel far and away was the reason for my incredible buying experience. Two months later I received an email from Daniel while on an elliptical which began as follows; "This is not an April Fool's joke". Daniel was offering me the opportunity to purchase a very rare Patek reference number, equal or even more desirable than the watch I had originally sought back in December. My response was an immediate YES. I picked up this very gorgeous watch last week. Reflecting on what I had just experienced prompted me to write this review. My efforts of traveling four hours round trip in the middle of winter to visit DC registered with Daniel, DC owner Andy Johnson, and the DC Dublin president. Even though I was a relatively new customer I was treated so incredibly well. Daniel's loyalty to his customers is amazing. He is a sincere, compassionate, knowledgable, and loves what he does. My boyfriend wanted to take me shopping to browse the style of engagement rings that I liked... About 5 years ago, I worked in a jewelry store, so I kind of knew what I was looking for, but I'm not going to turn down getting to try on rings! We went in here with a stone given to me by a family member, so I asked if they did trade-ins. The salesman said they did, but that they won't even tell me what they'll give me for a stone until I pick a ring out and commit to buying it... What the crap? So then, we tell him our budget is 5-8k for an engagement ring... I don't think I'm delusional when I say that that's a lot of money... He showed me some rings that were color I-J. I told him this is not the color of a stone that I'm looking for at all, they're way to yellow. He kind of scoffed at me and said that this is what I get at my price point. HA! So then, I ask if he has any bezel set mounts. The douche literally laughs and said, maybe if this was the 90s... That's not the style now I would assume since you used to work in jewelry you would know that? WHAT THE CRAP, AGAIN?! First of all, pear shaped and marquis stones aren't in style anymore and people still sell them?! I wanted to leave the store, but my bf wanted to ask a few more questions.. I wanted to go to the Diamond Cellar because I had heard nothing but great things, and they are one of the only places in Columbus that carries men's David Yurman wedding bands. My fiancee and I went on Saturday, March 28th. The woman at the reception desk was more than pleasant, invited us in, and told us that someone would be with us shortly. That's where the pleasantries ended. I'd like to tell you the name of the gentleman who assisted us, but he never told us. He never asked for mine or my fiancee's, either. He showed us their selection of David Yurman bands, which included the rings that I wanted to see, though not in the size or metal that I wanted. I had to ask the gentleman to size me, at which point he acted annoyed while he slid me a case of sample sizing rings. I picked out the ring that I wanted, and told him that I wanted it in sterling silver, rather than the gold he had in the case. He told me that David Yurman didn't make that band in silver, which I knew was incorrect because I'd researched these rings for several months before coming to the store. After I told him that I knew DY made those rings in sterling, he told me that they had been discontinued. He told me that they may be able to find one, or one of the other ones that I'd liked, but that it would take at least 3 months before they got it in my size. I asked him to look into it for me, and he told me he would. He finally took my name, and told me he'd call me today (Monday). Surprise, surprise, I never got a call. Good news is, I was so disappointed in my treatment and service that I wouldn't have gotten my ring through the Diamond Cellar if they told me they'd give it to me for free. I came home, went to DavidYurman.com and found the ring I wanted--in the metal I wanted--because it wasn't discontinued as I was lead to believe. They're shipping it to me free of charge, and I'll have my ring by this Thursday. Needless to say, I'll never go back to the Diamond Cellar. I'd like to thank them for sizing me for my wedding ring, and for the lesson that just because you go somewhere to buy high-end jewelry doesn't mean that you'll be treated with good customer service... read more

I walked into the store today to have a battery changed on another watch and have my Omega sent in and the sales person looked at me like I had two heads. "We don't work with Omega, maybe try Jared or some place similar" I explained that I called and that someone said no problem - once again the two headed stare. He said it is wasn't worth their time / well I am sorry this place might carry high end watches and jewelry, but if this sales person was any indication of their customer service, this place isn't worth your time. We were able to create a custom engagement ring and wedding band from a family ring that was given to us. Our sales associate Steve was amazing, he was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Ben was able to sit down with us and create our custom ring and he answered all of the questions we had, not to mention he was also friendly and had us laughing the entire time. My fiance and I went into the DC due to a special event we had heard advertised on the radio for wedding specials that weekend, so we decided to try it out for kicks. We are both wishing we hadn't now. The experience for me was a bit lack luster as there was nothing I enjoyed there, however, my fiance did find two rings he really enjoyed. One for roughly $400 or so and one for what ended up being $1400. Per what I expected, our sales lady sold that more expensive ring like none other. She was good, really good. It was a unique ring from a company in Germany and it did work great for my fiance. The claim that the other ring would "break easily" is a bit of BS now that we have talked to many people, but we were taken by what we thought was a very honest and open person. So we believed her. And due to my fiances job it just seemed so reasonable at the time. Not to mention not many stores sold this other ring and its smooth design was more unique than what we had viewed thusfar. So the major downside to this "unique" ring was that it had to be "special" ordered and we needed to make sure we had the right size or "It would be $100" to get it resized. Well it would have been great if the sales associate entered in the correct size (which she did admit to having trouble with the computer when we were checking out). By the time we finally were able to pick it up my fiance found out an 8 had been ordered instead of the 9 (which he was sized for AT the store and the claim was made that it was winter, well he was wearing gloves inside...the whole time) and it needed to be sent back to be resized. Well it has and now it is another $400!!! Of course there was no call with an estimate confirming this price was okay before doing the work and of course being trusting back when we bought the ring we didn't get that $100 for a resize in writing. So now we have a wedding band to pick up and pay another $400 for this week that we hate because of how much we have been fooled by this store. Never again will we shop here. Yes, that sales associate did her job exactly well: she made the sale and she was personable so we were comfortable and we trusted what she was doing. But we shouldn't be faulted for something like this. Never again. read more

I posted this yesterday but it's not on the site. So I will continue to post... FYI- this is my first review of any kind, ever! Which shows how annoyed I am. I ordered my boyfriend a new paneri watch strap as his last one broke. I took in the old strap on December 3, 2014 & went over the books with the sales woman, Inna, who was a bit confused. Thank God for Ed, he knows what he's talking about and helped us greatly. Inna accidently ordered the wrong strap- which was to be in before Christmas but didn't come in until the end of January... Their ordering process for this is a bit confusing so I was understandable as to how a mistake can be made. However, as a sales associate if you are unsure of something even after the order was given to you correctly (by Ed), ask for help! I go back in to return the strap and get the correct one. The manager Ken was not very knowledgeable about what to do to correct the wrong and how to get the right strap. Again, thank God for Ed. I would give Ed 10 stars. I feel as if he is the only one that truly knows what he is doing while being so kind and helpful. Ed straightened it out for me yet it is now February 20th and still no strap. I called two days ago to check on the strap and the manager, Gina, said she had to call me back when she knew something. Moral of the story- i will never buy from them again. For anything. I will relay the message to not order from them to everyone I know. I would have had better luck ordering the strap from elsewhere via the phone or during a trip. Took my grandmothers ring in because it had a crack and Gabe helped me redo my heirloom. We redid the entire ring in platinum reset the stones and had it back before my deadline for my daughters wedding. The ring looks like a replica to my grandmothers ring.
