Beyond having a professional, friendly staff and an immaculate office, Dr. Halabi is just an obviously kind person. Being at his office feels a lot like walking into your cousin's house during Thanksgiving--everyone's super friendly (but professional) and you immediately feel welcomed each time. When wait times occurred, they were extremely minimal, and Dr. Halabi always made himself available to answer any questions I had about the process. I never told him that I have a low-key fear of dentists and orthodontists because it just never came up! I always felt like I was in good hands with the doctor and every tech. Lastly, the quality of the straightening was outstanding. I walked in with teeth looking a bit like broken piano keys and now I feel like they could be in a magazine. I simply can't recommend Dr. Halabi enough. Also, for parents out there, I repeatedly observed Dr. Halabi interacting with his teen patients, and his demeanor is every bit as on point as he is when dealing with adults. I would have to pay $250 to take molds and x-rays before I can be told a price for Invisalign. The woman on the phone realized I was surprised by the cost and tried justifying the cost. I feel like if you feel need to justify the cost than maybe you know that it's out of the ordinary. I went to 6 other dentists (including a few in the area) that was able to schedule a free consultation providing the total cost and the timeframe. I wanted to get an estimated cost to determine where to go to get them done. I feel like when they charge $250 consultation fee this will deter cost conscious patients and most people once, they pay that fee will feel obligated to get their work done here since they already paid $250. I also feel like this would be the type of dentist that would nickle and dime you for everything since they are charging a fee to give a basic estimate of cost. I understand that the doctor is doing work and they shouldn't work for free. However, I went to two other dentist in the area (in the same 1-mile radius) that took 15 minutes and they either provided a full cost (and they did the x-rays for free) or gave an estimate cost with a basic look in my mouth and that took less than 5 minutes.

Rather than initally taking ownership of the mistake, Chloe was dismissive, had a poor attitude, and failed to follow up. A healthcare office should inspire confidence, not concern. After a practice that didn't take covid seriously, did an unnecessary and COSTLY dental procedure that I am still healing from weeks later, hurting my lip, and being just a complete disorganized disaster, I'm really lucky that my second shot at dentistry was so much better. I prefaced in my last review that I made the mistake of not going to the dentist for a long time - granted, I didn't have insurance for 6 months and then the moment I got insurance, covid happened and I got scared. But still, it's reasonable I had a ton of build up/tartar/gum disease and definitely a wake up call for me. At the last dentist, I was told immediately I needed a root and scaling/deep clean without them even doing the measurement thing on my gums, just x-rays. They did the root and scale on my right side but not my left (only one is done at a time), which has left me weeks later with angry miserable gums, gaps in my teeth I didn't prior have, and cost me $500 out of pocket. When I got to Dr. Hoang, she actually took her time examining my x-rays, my gums, and my mouth to find that 1) the deep clean didn't even deep clean, as I still had a bunch of tartar making my gums even more unhappy and 2) my gums weren't as bad as I had thought, and I didn't even need to do a root and scaling/deep clean on the left side. If I had gone to Dr. Hoang in the first place, I wouldn't be still miserable, with ugly and uncomfortable gaps in my teeth that I literally struggle to talk and eat with, and wouldn't be out $500 as all she did was a regular cleaning for me on the left. My biggest disappointment is I didn't go to her first. On top of that she's super sweet, lets you ask questions, doesn't make you feel bad about your obvious mistakes, and makes sure you fully feel comfortable before she does anything. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentistry. The practice is also great!!! Sallie from reception was very pleasant over the phone and email, and I'm not sure if it was her or a different receptionist at the front today, but she was great too. Everyone is wearing masks and taking Covid very seriously. They sent out a covid form the night before and took my temperature when I arrived. And...... last thing, they were playing Death Cab for Cutie when I walked in. As a born and raised Seattleite, this made me so happy :)
