This place has such an extensive Taiwanese food menu it's incredible. From street food, to rice boxes, noodle dishes to a wide range of dessert options I don't know how the kitchen manages.
When you have such an extensive menu though it's a bit of hit and miss. Misses include the chiayi turkey rice being actually chicken. Well the English translation does say Chicken so I guess they aren't lying but I don't think you can really call it the famous chiayi turkey rice if you're using chicken. The rice boxes are average too and the green tea red bean ice needs a bit of work. More green tea flavour and more cooked red beans.
Those subpar dishes aside I really like the clear soup beef noodles. I kept drinking the soup like it had msg in it (but it doesn't). Their fried chicken pieces is also the closest to what I've had in Taiwan with basil leaves and all. So delicious. A must get is their bubble tea with bubbles that are still present at the end of the drink. So refreshingly awesome that I've convinced myself I must go get one today! read more
