I remember a time when Del Mondo had, without question, the best coffee in Concord (and their…read morehomemade cakes weren't too bad either). If it weren't for the Del Mondo sign out the front, I'd swear it was a different place to the charming little establishment I once frequented.
Despite the declining quality, Del Mondo still serves a lot of customers. Weekend mornings/ afternoons are especially busy, so be prepared to sit at a recently vacated, dirty, table. And don't expect it to be cleared in a hurry. The service is irritably slow!
The "barista", if you can call him that, seemed to have no idea what was going on, and had to ask several times what I had ordered. Is a flat white really that hard to remember? After the fifteen minute wait, I strolled home, sipping on my on my tasteless, lukewarm coffee, vowing, "Never again!"
